Xero put on their favorite song and poured themselves a drink, it was stiff and bracing. There was a pop and hissing sound as they removed the mask and sighed heavily. Miyi opened the door and said, “I was going to bed, I am wiped out. Do you need anything?”
Xero said, “I am fine, just enjoying the view.”
“We need to work on your music tastes, Jizz is way cooler,” she said and waved on her way to her bedroom.
Xero smiled and then let the weight of the world melt away, it had been an overall good day for House Thul. Okay so the Duchess lost a hand, but it could have been worse. Their gamble on Lady Koor had worked out, and they had helped keep Alderaan falling into turmoil. Maybe the Cunning Man would strike again but House Thul, Panteer, and their allies would be ready.
They brushed their hair back and sucked in more fresh air.
“You would be proud dear, she is every bit your image. And yes, I can’t vouch for her taste in romance, but this Garth Wayne Ulgo seems, a good man. I don’t know,” they sighed. “Yes, I will give them a chance, and yes I did my homework. A relatively clear background, and Force User, imagine that?”
They finished the drink and then said, “Well, you rest well. Tomorrow is sure to bring more challenges. Good night.”
And then Xero rested.
