Garth grins knowingly as he pushes some root vegetable around his plate. "Tradition also says y' have t' wait four more days fer yer crown, right? Until the crowning ceremony? Ah'd hate t' do this wrong."

"Four more days for all my suitors to impress me," she joked.

[Garth Wayne Ulgo]

Garth knew Miyi was teasing, but the words still struck a chord within him.

"Well ah guess ah'll just have t' find a way t' distinguish m'self from the pack. B'sides, worse come to worse, seems y' know where t' hide the bodies of mah competition, yeah?" He jokes back with a chuckle.

[Dapper Dog]

"Hiding bodies is my specialty," she joked.

[Garth Wayne Ulgo]

"See, ah'm learnin' something new every time we meet." Garth replied with a grin, before indulging on another bite of the nerf.

"Perhaps," he asked, turning his head to Xero, "ah might ask if there are any other rites or rituals that should be observed in courting a Thul Baroness. Or is at as simple as crowning at the end of th' festival an' hoping y' don't get laughed off."

“That a Thul never forgets who their allies are and who their enemies are. Vengeance is a sacred ritual best served quickly and decisively,” Xero responded as they adjusted their utensils.

[Garth Wayne Ulgo]

"Well ah hope ah get th' chance to prove m'self as the former rather than the latter. T'would be a tragedy of the highest order if ah were t' become a victim of that vengeance; well to me at least." Garth offers with a grin.

[Dapper Dog]

"I would be desolated," Xero replied.

[Garth Wayne Ulgo]

"Well we can't have that now can we. It would leave our dear Miyi inconsolable at yer emotional pain." Garth answers as he slides his finished plate forward.

"A true d'light Lord Xero even finer than the meal at the Silver Spires, wouldn't you agree Miyi?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Always a delight, Xero," she agreed.


Xero said, "Your enjoyment has given me much delight."

[Garth Wayne Ulgo]

Garth raised a glass to the chef before taking another sip. "So what passes fer post dinner party games an' entertainment around this neck of th' 'verse." He asked the Thuls.

[Dapper Dog]

Xero replied, "Well, if you really want to enjoy something exciting, then we can retire to our parlor for a reading of poetry." Miyi gives a dubious look and glanced to Garth.

[Garth Wayne Ulgo]

Garth laughs loudly. "Lord yer sense of humour slays as sure as any blaster. Ah assume ye saw mah last foray int' the world of poetry?"

"Ah made a promise ah wouldn't make such an embarrassin' mistake again. So ah must decline yer generous offer. Perhaps 'nother night?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Another night, then, I shall retire. Miyi will see you out," they said rising and leaving the dining room.

[Garth Wayne Ulgo]

Garth rises politely - that cultural manual had taught him something after all - and drops his napkin on his plate, waiting until Xero had left the room before smiling at Miyi.

"This was nice, and ah love that dress by th' way."

[Dapper Dog]

"Thank you for joining us and putting up with Xero, you are a sweet... sweet soul, Lord Ulgo," she said before kissing his cheek and showing him to the door.

Garth lifts Miyi's hand and delicately presses his lips to her fingers. "And you are so much more than ah ever dreamed, Baroness."

He offers a bow before stepping out the door and into the evening.
