“It’s going to continue to be a point of animosity as long as it remains… The animosity towards Thul isn’t entirely constructed by these few spies. They take the tensions already here and blow them up to uncontrollable levels…” She replied.

“If you want to avert war, you’re going to have to take steps to deal with the root causes to the conflict.”

"Not your concern, you focus on the conspiracy, I will run Thul," she said with narrowed eyes.

Zeno let the exchange happen without providing any input. The manner in which they handled the Empire was pretty delicate. He did not wish to be reliant on anyone but his own house, but the fact of things were what they were.

“You do. It’s why I said what I said… You deal with it in the best way you think. But it’s creating problems for ya…” She replied.

“Even if I finish off these spies… It ain’t gonna stop everything. If you need help on the other end… you let me know. Making Alderaan safe from civil war and the Empire is why I’m here.”

“No you’re here to find your mother and do the bidding of the SIS, we established that. I am House Thul, its fate is my fate and you will do well to remember that. I will accept advice but do not deign to tell me how to run my house because I don’t give a kriff what you think,” she said with seething anger.

“Do your job, snuff out these agents and don’t give unwanted advice.”

“It’s your choice… Hope you live through the consequences. Believe it or not, our interests align more than you want to admit.” She replied.

“But I seem to have upset you by even mentioning the possibility of backing off the pro-Empire approach…” She put her hands up.

“I’ll do my job. No worries there. I have no ill will towards any of y’all.”

She laughed lightly but darkly then said, “On the contrary, you spoke as if you know better than me about my family and House. Watch your tone and approach, I have had servants killed for less. You are useful, capable, and deadly, but you must understand there are ways of doing things and speaking. I am your superior, you have sworn your fealty to our House even if you do not realize that.”

“But don’t patronize me, I was concerned with the Imperials long before you even considered your scheme to ingratiate yourself into my family.”

“I am your Duchess and you will address me accordingly in tone and word.”

Delmi bowed her head politely, “Then… Duchess Thul, let me say sorry for breaking proper etiquette. I didn’t assume you didn’t know these things… obviously you do. But I have to bring up the topic… Offering my help and getting your feedback on solutions is what a good ‘subordinate’ should do when they identify a threat to the existence of the House.”

Ziandra took a seat and then said, “Accepted, Lady Koor. We have complete faith you will resolve this matter for House Thul and Alderaan. So how do we remove Bryson Rist from the equation? Surely it was him or someone working with him that created the event you were able to acquire for us from panteer?”

[Delmi Koor]

“That’s our working theory. House Rist is not likely to cooperate. The Jedi are investigating on their own… I did come across a woman last night who seemed to be connected with him somehow… She has been trying to draw the attention of Prince Joran. A Riss… Lanar I believe the name was?”

[Ziandra Thul]

“How ironic, we destroyed House Lanar, apparently not completely,” she said chuckling.

That explains the Thul hate…

“We’ll need to find some means of either enticing Rist to turn him over… or seek other measures.” She replied.

"Oh? I didn't realize she was a Lanar," he said with a chuckle. "She came over asking about some different thing between her brother and Tera." He shrugs at that.

“She did not appear to be a possible venue for… help.” Delmi replied.

“And I doubt a terrorist would be all that invested in her well-being. Not sure if she could offer us anything if import.”

"She might not offer it, but even if she hates Thul, she seemed to be willing to come to me for help with her brother. Means that he means a lot to her," he says with a shrug. "And is apparently a pretty foolhardy guy. Could talk to her about Bryson, in exchange for Tera no longer stringing her brother along to eventually leave him heart-broken, destitute and possibly dead."

“Sounds like a good enough idea to me. My interaction with her didn’t go so pleasantly. But if you have an in, then that could really help.” She replied.

"I will learn what I can from her," he says.

"If it matters this can take priority over that foolishness with the Prince, I never cared to win that anyway," she admitted.

She nodded, “That’s good. I don’t think I have much of a chance there anymore. I’ll put my full focus on stuff that matters.”
