[Zeno Thul]

He nods his understanding. "I won't be sleeping tonight myself. With Ziandra indisposed I'm running things during this crisis. I say that but I'm really just directing people, probably incorrectly, with much more capable people making up for my mistakes," he said, quirking the corner of his mouth.

He eats a bit more.

[Riss]

"Call me. If you need advice," she says, there's just the simplicity of the spoken word to her tone. Taking a bite, chewing it slow and taking her time with it. When she swallows she takes a drink, and adds, "I'm good with people.. can help maybe," she offers, a slight rise of a smile which fades quickly.

[Zeno Thul]

"It's all good, Ziandra collected smart people that know what they're doing. And they're used to smoothing over my blunders when necessary, but thanks for the offer," he says with a nod.

The food is great for filling space between any awkward gaps.

[Riss]

Something Riss made ample use of in the following moments. Not quite sure what to say herself. Enjoying the food as much as she could she focuses in on it, escaping the allowance of letting herself think for too long. Though as she does eat, a time or two, her eyes go a little distant before they snap back to presence.

[Zeno Thul]

"Do you want a drink," he asks. "I think I'm going to have one."

[Riss]

Breaking the silence, she nods, "I would.. love one actually. Sounds like exactly the kind of thing I need.." the second half coming off like she was muttering slightly to herself.

[Zeno Thul]

He puts a call in to have a small mobile bar delivered. A couple minutes later after picking at food and awkward silence, the alcohol arrives. There's pretty much any common drink of a decent quality available.

Zeno stands up and retrieves a bottle of whiskey, pouring a tumbler. He invites Riss to join him and take what she wants with a wave.

[Riss]

Riss does join him, though it is certainly notable how these silences are more frequent. For reasons Zeno already knew, of course. How her mind wanders in the quiet moments replaying everything she's been through with a lot of focus on key parts. Where and when Riss might have otherwise filled moments with conversation she had only the lure of memories.

Presence returning she looks across the liquor available, she wasn't picky and picked more or less the first thing that was sweet- or she could make sweet with what was nearby. Expert, thoughtless motions of the hand she would manage to mix something up.

[Zeno Thul]

He takes a drink... all of it... then pours more into his glass. "Tomorrow evening," he says. "I'll be doing what I can to bring together folks to take on the Cunning Man. To hunt him down. Thul and Lanar concerns aside, he has hurt both of us. Probably hurt you more. If you feel up to it, come to the meeting. If not, I or someone else there can fill you in later."

He takes just a sip this time, sitting down with his bottle and glass.

[Riss]

"I'll be there," she said, there was a determination to the words which wouldn't seem easy to shake. Taking the glass up she takes a long sip. Turning back she returns to her seat as well, mulling over the thought.

"Between you and me?" she says, there's a low anger to the tone. "I'm just half tempted to paint so big a target on my back, mess with what plans of theirs I can, just so they can take a shot. Hope being they miss.." she takes a sip, holds the initiative. "Because when they miss I'd have a chance."

With that statement lingering, she takes a long and slow sip from the glass.

[Zeno Thul]

He take another drink. "That's about the worst plan I've heard all day. And this one guy's plan was so bad... he thought instigating a coup in the presence of a few dozen war heroes and jedi with a small portion of the military power on planet. I wouldn't want you to make yourself look dumber than him. Plus, I like you a live and people like that don't miss often. We'll come up with something better together."

[Riss]

"We'll see.." she says, looking forward she takes another sip. Let's the thought settle and fade. Seeing to the meal she'd give Zeno a glance, but there wasn't much more she had to being up of note unless he did.

Zeno nodded, returning to the occasional silences broken up with comments. Mostly comments that are pointless but well intentioned attempts to distract.
