Cynella picked at her food, taking any opportunity to pace herself. "Yes, it is quite lovely," she said, avoiding staring at Xero. With that mask, did they intend to eat? "I hope the specifications were up to par. I'd hate to tell my House that they've been found lacking."

"We found the designs impressive, how long would it take to have these go from production to deployment?" she asked.

"Quantity would affect that, as well as delivery methods." She gave her roughest estimate possible ((her player has no idea what Star Wars factory production is like!)) and smiled faintly. "My parents would be able to better finalize any contractual agreements. That being said, it pleases me that they're to your liking.

The Queen offered her large number after conferring with Ziandra and they give Cynella their initial offer to take back to her family. Once complete the Queen said, “We are interested in knowing more about you, Lady Andrim.”

Cynella noted it in her mind. If there was anything she wanted to remember, it was that and not the extremely bizarre doll room. "More about me? Hm, well, what comes to mind is that I have the same amount of siblings as Prince Joran." She sent a smile to him; hopefully he was less rattled after that whole encounter. "One older, much like Gaul I'd say. My sister... somewhat like Jameela. I couldn't estimate Unther's similarities though... I've barely met him!"

Implication, of course, that she was much like Joran. Weren't they, in a way? Both athletic-minded, both horrendous at lies.

"But they are not here, we are interested in you, what makes you and not them worthy of our son," she replied.

"Well, I'm in excellent shape. Hopefully you'll soon see that during the upcoming Huttball matches. My children will surely be quite vigorous because of it." She glanced over to Prince Joran at that and smiled only a tad bit. After all, she'd basically just said that they'd bed each other.

"My eldest sibling is married; his wife's quite pleasant, I'm sure you'd like her. The others, well, aren't but out of us three, I was selected to be the best fit." A social recluse who loved visual novels more than parties and someone who was... well, rivaled Riss in terms of nonsense.

"Your fertility aside, why should you be a future Queen-consort of Alderaan over say Lady Yulastranza Ulgo?" she asked.

Why in the stars did I bring up my fertility?

Cynella smiled through her self-doubt. "I don't wish to detract too much from Lady Yulastranza Ulgo in saying that I have a gentler touch. I don't believe in lording over others, whether with my social position or my physical prowess."

And Gaul had to have ditched her for some reason, though the specifics... yes, I need the specifics before I bring that up.

"We are not looking for modesty, a Queen-Consort has no need for polite modesty. Everyone will look to you, project upon you their best and worst virtues and judge you accordingly. Every action you make will be scrutinized. You will be second guessed at every turn. If you falter in public it will be made into spectacle. Perhaps you will navigate these challenges, perhaps not," the Queen offered.

"As of now we have our doubts."

Cynella set aside her utensils before she could start futzing with her food. "I would say that modesty is a virtue though. It just wouldn't do to have someone who bosses around the other nobles or, stars forbid, the common people to get their way."

She lowered her head. "That being said, yes. I hope to navigate the challenges without any further... mistakes."

Cynella set aside her utensils before she could start futzing with her food. "I would say that modesty is a virtue though. It just wouldn't do to have someone who bosses around the other nobles or, stars forbid, the common people to get their way."

She lowered her head. "That being said, yes. I hope to navigate the challenges without any further... mistakes."

The Queen listened and then continued eating without reply.

"I agree with modesty being a virtue, and you have that," Joran said warmly. "And I appreciate your fertility, that's a new one."

[Cynella Andrim]

"Thank you, for both compliments," Cynella said, straightening out her posture. "I'd hope that the others aren't lacking in the latter. Otherwise, that could prove problematic."

She coughed, hoping to not linger on such things. "I have heard that it is more traditional to marry a member from another Alderaanian House. I've been hoping to learn more about said practice as well as more about the various ones."

Joran responded, “It’s just tradition, probably less to learn about cultural differences and what is expected. Alderaan nobility is a bit different than other places, or so I’m told. But not always, some marry offwolders either leaving to join their families or bring new members into ours.”

“Truth be told just about everyone is related to everyone else… I mean not like that just, the Houses have inter-married a great deal over our history, they split… some go away. Some trees are a real mess. Some houses like House Juioz… we don’t talk about, it’s less a tree and more a pole if you catch my meaning,” he added with a playful wink.

"Oh it's much the same for the Ten of Kuat," Cynella said. "There are only so many potential marriages between that many Houses, after all. Still, I think adoption and careful planning makes it not look like a pole, as you put it.

"Still, in both cases, the intensity of rivalries continues to shock me, both here and on Kuat."

[Joran Panteer]

"People love conflict and being petty," Joran responded.

[Cynella Andrim]

"I'd like to believe people can rise above such inclinations and cooperate. Somehow, ages ago, planetary governments formed because the people banded together. Indeed, the Republic itself because entire planets agreed on matters!"

She smiled ruefully. "We just shouldn't be fighting each other is all I mean."

[Joran Panteer]

"Well maybe you can explain some of that wisdom to the nobility and get them to fly right," he responded.

"That is my hope," Cynella said with a firm smile. She returned to eating her meal, sure to not stuff herself too much with the upcoming Huttball game. And as long as she didn't glance over at Xero, then it was a pretty normal noble experience.
