[Day 8 - LA] A Nice Day

[Delmi Koor]

Delmi walked over to Zeno, “I doubt it’s Rist alone Duke Thul… This smells like Ulgo.”

She then tried to open her communicator to Theron…

[Zeno Thul]

"And from the peace summit, I doubt it's all of Rist or Ulgo even if the two have family involved," he replies to Delmi. "I won't assume any leader of their house is directly involved until I see verified evidence of such. The cunning man has been toying with us too much," he clarifies. "Were those assassins even Rist at all or were they just embedded agents for sowing chaos."

[Dapper Dog]

Just static for both of them.

[Delmi Koor]

“We need to get comms back online… Impossible to know what’s going on until then.” She replied.

[Zeno Thul]

Since they had to use a speeder to get out here, it follows that it's still present. He looks to everyone still there and has them get in so he can get them back as soon as possible.

"We'll talk on the way. Clear the field and let's get back in case they've attacked the estate."

He makes his way towards the speeder.

[Dapper Dog]

They arrive back in time to see Miyi and Xero brutally dispatching a few assassins. Xero said, "Let's get her inside, we ran into some old friends."

[Delmi Koor]

Delmi stabbed another couple stimpacks into her leg on the way and followed Xero inside with all her guns at the ready.

[Zeno Thul]

Zeno moved to take his wife and carry her. This was much worse than the first time he carried her across the threshold.

[Blai Frayus]

Blai was not close to any in the Thul estate, but he got the wolf close to him and followed them all the same.
"I hope... She'll be alright, eh, Lord Thul...", he assured Zeno, clearly worried and confused but glad that things didn't end up even worse.. "I'm... what .."

He definitely didn't understand all this was about... He imagined some possibilities, of course. Humans were definitely complicated, nobles especially so. But he was glad that the family was unhurt.... And he hoped it would keep like that.

"How can I help, Lord Thul?", he said, his hands running unwittingly through Elur's mane.

"You've helped quite a lot already, but I'd appreciate you keeping an eye out for further assassins," he says. "We need to get her to the medical suite."

His mind was roiling between those dark emotions of fear and anger, so he focused on the anger knowing that a sense of urgency and aggression would help more than panic or paranoia.

"Ser Villainous, keep the girls close please. And Xero, have they shut down internal communications? If not get a status report from the Blackguard and house guards on site."

[Dapper Dog]

"Lady Massacre is on her way to Panteer Palace, Ser Monstrous is at the Spring Palace, the rest of the Blackguards are securing the compound," he said to the Duke-Consort.

[Blai Frayus]

"You've helped quite a lot already, but I'd appreciate you keeping an eye out for further assassins," he says. "We need to get her to the medical suite."

His mind was roiling between those dark emotions of fear and anger, so he focused on the anger knowing that a sense of urgency and aggression would help more than panic or paranoia.

Blai couldn't help raising an eyebrow at the names of the Blackguards, and Zeno's anger as he spoke took him by surprise, and made both him and the wolf wary, the beast letting out a low growl. Given the situation, though, he could hardly judge the man, so he held on to his unease and just nodded. "We'll keep our eyes on the surroundings, Lord Thul. Good luck, and may the..."

He wondered why his mother's words came back to him at such times. "... May all go as best it can", he said instead, and called Elur to stand by his side at the estate, each one focused on one side in case anyone or anything else might appear.

Delmi turned to Xero, “How do we get comms through?”

[Zeno Thul]

I'll be sure to let her know he saved her life, he thought, assuming with all his hope that shed be fine. Maybe she'll let him have one of her pets he seemed so keen on.

He shook away the thought, trying to focus as he made his way to the med center of the estate.

Delmi turned to Xero, “How do we get comms through?”

OOC: Computers at Hard get a boost die for using the Thul systems.

Delmi worked the best she could to contact Theron.

“Theron! Ulgo invasion? Status report! We had assassins attack the duchess’s family.”

[Dapper Dog]

"Let --- cle--- up --- ond!" he replied. A moment later and he said, "Is this better?"

“Much better.” She nodded.

“Status report. You said something about an invasion and the palace?”
