One Errand is Better than Xero? (D2 LE)

The transport landed back at the Thul estates after having returned each of the other members of the squad back to where they needed to go. Delmi jumped down from the craft onto the concrete floor and let out a breath.

All the tension from the mission came out in the gust of wind from her nose and she felt herself relax a bit.

She lifted the helmet off of her head and her eyes looked up around the garage of sorts...

I bet you he's around here somewhere...

A droid approached with a plate and a note inviting her to dinner at the Chateau of Xero Thul.

She took and read the note before smiling back at the droid, "You able to take me there friend?"

The droid beeped and booped and guided her to the 'Chateau", which was a large building off the main structure of the Thul compound. It was in good repair, made of stone and more modern materials with two floors and enough for several families or one rich guy.

A droid answered the door and led her through a parlor with paintings of Xero Thul, mask and all into the dining room with a 10 meter length table. On the far side was a setting for one and to the right of that setting another dinner setting.

Behind the head of the table was a fireplace where Xero stood feeding the flames.

Delmi took a moment or two to shed her armor and pack it away in a locker near the garage. She pulled out a pair of military-style cargo pants and pulled them on before following the little droid to the 'Chateau'.

Delmi walked towards the masked man at a normal pace. She glanced at the large painting of himself on the wall and nodded her head softly.

She stopped a few steps away, hands clasped together softly behind her back. "Good evening Mr. Xero. Nice digs you have here."

They turned and said, "Why thank you, this place has been a labor of love and creds. Don't tell me you fixed up House Syresh already?"

"Put together a team along with Duke-consort Zeno. We deployed just a few hours ago. Infiltrated the Killik Hive and deployed a machine which had remarkable effectiveness in minimalizing the threat on House Syrush." She said with a professional nod.

"Just have to make sure we can hold the position in the days ahead but it's a mission success as of right now."

“And that is why they pay me the big creds and then I pay you the smaller creds, and by pay I mean a gentle pat on the shoulder,” they said.

“Well that was handled faster than I expected. Your reputation lives up to the hype.”

She shrugged, "I get stuff done."

She waited a few seconds and then tilted her head, "Well?"

She stuck out her shoulder as if making it available for a pat.

[Dapper Dog]

“Oh… right.”

A protocol droid approached and patted her gently on the shoulder.

Xero continued moving to take a seat at the table, “So any progress on mommy dearest?”

She chuckled as the droid stepped back after patting her on the shoulder, "Uhh... nope. I thought that was what you were lookin' into? I've been busy tryin' to get a prince to fall in love with me and getting rid of some bugs."

She sat down at the other prepared spot... a little sweaty but most of it had dried by now.

Food was brought out, steaks mixed grilled vegetables and fine wine. Paired with a light salad. A three layered cake was brought out as well.

Xero replied, “Oh, right. Guess that is why I found something.”

She took a good look at the meal as it was brought out. She was hungry enough to eat a thraxxian mule... but Xero's comment got her attention.

"Looks like you get stuff done too, then." She said with a kind tone in her voice.

"What'dya find?"

“Ever heard of House Rist?” Xero asked.

“Sure you have, House of Assassins with spies everywhere? Probably under the table, spying on me. In my refresher watching me… refresh. Well it turns out mommy dearest had friends there, a Galen Rist and Vidara Rist, the Duchess’ sister.”

[Delmi Koor]

She nodded, "I have... What does that uhh... mean? Those people live around here still?"

"Nope both dead, long dead for eight or so years now... but they knew her... so yeah. Progress, and House Rist just claimed Vendetta on a Jedi. Said the Jedi murdered Vidara..." Xero countered.

[Delmi Koor]

"Layne Hoshin?" Delmi asked, starting to put Layne's cryptic comments to her earlier together.

Delmi looked up as she started to think, "When was it that your records say my mom died again?"

[Dapper Dog]

OOC: I am going to need to know when Delmi thinks she died, first.

OOC: She has no idea. Mom disappeared when she was little. Heard about her grave a year or so after Bankor. Our pre-game thread has Xero saying 'those years ago'.

"Well she died around the time that they died, on [Exact date given, 7-8 years ago], so maybe they all had a pact to go together or Jedi Hoshin killed them all," they said.
