(D3 MA) Are they Thul of It?

Cynella, as she'd discussed with Ziandra yesterday, arrived promptly in time for lunch. She hoped that whatever she'd eat now wouldn't affect her too much for the upcoming Huttball game. Still, she had skipped breakfast after Riss' dastardly tactic that'd forced her to eat the most vile of all things: dessert.
She straightened out her jacket and fluffed out her hair. What dire political machinations am I going to get myself involved in now?

She is brought into a well appointed parlor with a large painting of the Duchess, her husband and red skinned girls. Beneath it was the Queen having a chat with Ziandra and seated in a chair was Joran in dress uniform.

Joran got to his feet and said, "Lady Andrim, greetings. I thought this was going to be a private affair with the Duchess."

“Good afternoon, Cynella, you look radiant today. I am pleased you could join us,” she said.

I suppose that answers the question about some of their roots, she thought as she glanced at the portraits. When she turned her attention away, though, she was in full view of the royal family members.
"Oh! Well, I did agree to a lunch with dear host. I'd expected other guests, perhaps, but not you, Prince Joran," she said, more-so to indicate surprise than distaste.
At that, she pulled out her datapad with a firm smile. "I'd requested copies of some ship specifications to share with the noble Houses of Alderaan." Rather awkward that she'd also planned on giving such information to House Organa but neither had exactly reserved such information.

“We would be intrigued to see the designs,” the Queen asked.

“I show up at the most unexpected places, by the way you’re a good shot, Lady Andrim,” he said warmly.

"I indulge in some training from time-to-time," Cynella said at the compliment. Her attention, though, had to shift back to the Queen. "Yes, of course, Your Majesty." She held out her datapad, with all the work prepared prior by her House, and was willing to hand it over or upload it somewhere else for viewing.

She accepted it and began looking it over and discussing with Ziandra.

Joran shrugged and gestured for her to follow him and said, “If she needs us she will let us know. Shall we away, Lady Andrim?”

Cynella glanced over at the other women and then back to Joran. "Yes, we can leave them to their deliberations. I do wonder when lunch will be ready though." Always thinking with her stomach.
Once they were farther away, she mentioned, "I didn't realize they were so close. Might explain House Thul's recent rise to prominence, so I've heard."

“You can blame House Ulgo for that, Duchess Thul committed her resources to our side and tipped the balance to our side. Organa… well they wanted peace so they aided us but I would not call them close allies,” he said with a sigh.
“I think after that the Duchess saw her chance.”

"House Ulgo has a lot of strong will among their people, so I've experienced," Cynella said with a faint smile. "Though it surprises me to hear this about House Organa. From the ones I've spoken with, they seem more than willing to give aid to the crown."
She glanced around, taking in the estate's decor. Well, at least there aren't dead babies hanging off the ceilings. But what skeletons lie in closets? Whatever there may be, she was no spy. Plus she was with this fine gentleman's company!
"I admit, I was expecting to gleam more about House Thul during my visit here. They do have a reputation, something I've picked up in my short time here. That being said, the surprise of seeing you here isn't unwelcome in the least."

“Oh shall we go looking for the secrets lurking in the walls?” he teased.

"So you're curious as well?" Cynella tapped her lips. "Well, it just wouldn't do if a foreign noblewoman wandered around. But a royal prince? Well, I imagine that opens many more doors."

"I do need to find that refresher..." he said with a smirk and lead the way.

Cynella trailed along, wondering if it had been a mistake to leave her blaster at her temporary abode. Bringing a weapon to a lunch, after all, was probably too paranoid.
But with the prince, surely she didn't need to worry. "Did you used to wander around a lot in your childhood years?" She smirked. "I can only imagine how your mother would take it."

“I had my moments,” he said as he made his way up the stairs and down a hall.

Cynella, for her part, was totally invested in speaking with Joran. She certainly hadn't learned any lesson in keeping her eyes open after her maze escapades with the Prince of Joran. "I'm sure you'll regale me all about it sometime!"

"Yes, please regale us," a digital voice said from behind them.
"Prince Joran, Lady Andrim, lost?"
