Alderaan - Love and Intrigue

Ziandra was enjoying a leisurely day on the grounds of her ancestral home. The girls were with her, as she enjoyed a picnic with friends and guests, even bringing out some of the thranta for some to ride if they wished.

She was the picture of content but she had long learned how to mask whatever internal feelings she had. For now she played a thrilling game of cricket with her girls.

Zeno stood on the sidelines with some other guests, supporting his wife and daughters. He was a proud soccer dad for the moment.

Delmi’s findings brought her back to the Thul estates that day… there were many cells around and she would need help from people to see the leads followed up on.

It seemed most folks were on a different wavelength than she…

Zeno waved Delmi over, inviting her to join him on the sidelines.

She walked on over and offered a polite greeting.

“Duke Consort… Such a nice… uhh… day isn’t it?”

Blai wasn't too sure what to do after noticing his plans to invite some of the people he'd met at the festival to a hike or possibly another Thranta ride probably wouldn't work on a day as full of things happening as this... But then he thought he could visit the Duchess and ask her if he could spend some time with one of her Thranta later.

"Good afternoon, Lady Thul", he greeted her as he arrived. I'd like to thank you for the hints the other day, and for providing your wonderful beasts for the race yesterday!", he said with an honest smile, his eyes shifting to the Thranta nearby from time to time.

"It is Lady Koor. Do you see how well they are doing? The are like me, they can feel what others will do before they do it. It's still not developed but I can sense it in them," he says. "They're going to accomplish great things one day."

He's such an overzealously proud papa.

“I’m sure they will… Given the opportunity…” She said with a nod.

She was obviously a bit more on edge than most folks. Most people didn’t have blasters on their hips but Delmi did. Her eyes were constantly up and looking around.

"Well, not as much as some of the others!", he said waving his hands humbly. "But I was happy with what I could do! And for the race itself, really... I'd forgotten how much I love these guys", he said, pointing at the beasts. "It's quite a stable you've got! I take it it's a family business?"

Zeno looked like he was calm but the force had recently begun whispering paranoid thoughts and danger into his mind. But he had invited that in and was used to keeping his regular dark feelings and urges bottled up while pushing his love for his daughters into the forefront of his mind.

"I'll do everything in my power to ensure they get that opportunity. My life for theirs," he states, matter-of-factly.

"They are my passion, along side my children and the the surly man that is my husband. Have you met the Duke Consort or our Associate, Lady Koor?" she offered.

“I hope it won’t come to that… but I hear that is what any good parent would do for their child.” She replied.

"Given the option, I would prefer to live and see them grow up. So I hope it doesn't come to that either," he says with a nod. "How have things been faring with you?"

The children continue to play and the thranta are gliding above, it’s an idyllic picnic with plenty of food and refreshments. All seems well even if Zeno, Delmi, and Ser Villainous seem more intent on scanning for danger than enjoying themselves.

He hadn't been looking for anything specifically, but the force pushes his thoughts away, the beast in his mind taking over for a moment, almost slipping it's chain. His eyes move to the danger following the sensation, with no hesitation.

Another happy, friendly smile. "Oh, sadly I can't say I've had the chance, Lady Thul, we've not been in much of the same places during the festival, and I'm often off-planet. Perhaps I should take this chance to do it! And... if you allow me, I'd like to ask, about the Thrantas... would you perhaps grant me another chance to ride one of them, one of these days?"

He falls quiet for a while, but a bit awkwardly... it's pretty much clear there's something else he wants to say. "Ehm... I suppose it's not easy to breed, train and maintain then, eh?", he looks happily and somewhat longingly at the Thranta in the background again... and maybe feeling something strange...
