Leave It To Bouris (D2, EE)

A brief commute via thranta from the spring palace to the lands of the Ulgo, Kat found herself back at the castle. Fortress. Fortress seemed more fitting than castle or palace. She at least enjoyed the austere simplicity of the fortress compared to the ostentatiousness of the Spring Palace and the other Houses' seats of power.
Steeling her nerves a little, she inquired with the people if Bouris Ulgo was available.

Bouris was in his command room, more a ready room with monitors and screens then an office he seemed to find comfort being prepared for… war? Another invasion. It didn’t matter, Ulgo would be ready and capable of reacting quickly.
It was why he wore a military uniform and although House Ulgo was hosting their own more austere festival of Flowers he was busy looking at a datapad going over the logistics of his military forces and the readiness of his people.

As always well-mannered, Katarzyna offered a bow to the duke. "Duke Ulgo. Have you had the chance to enjoy the festivities yet?"

“Not as of yet, but I am assured our people are enjoying it. I am also kept abreast of my daughter’s progress. Otherwise, the work continues,” he said.
“Is this why you have come, for
pleasantries?”

"Not at all, your grace, but one observes the expected courtesies in these times," she responded, falling into a relaxed military position with her hands linked together behind her back. And well, she had been hoping he'd been taking part in the festival instead of being cooped up in here.
"There was an anti-crown, anti-Republic protest rally yesterday at the spaceport. It would seem these people are using the Ulgo name and your acts of heroism as a talking point for this movement. I wished to bring this to your attention, and inquire how you would wish to see the matter handled?"

“People have been using my name for their own ends for decades. I am not sure why this is any different. Maybe Queen Panteer will finally show some claws and crack down on them or perhaps see she has put a viper to her breast and turn aside House Thul. Either way, it’s a matter beneath my attention,” he said looking down at the datapad.

"I don't think their words is going to make anyone want to see Thuls as the villains," she explained calmly. "My concern was that their words and actions tarnish the name of Ulgo as heroes of Alderaan and the Republic. But I understand you have much that requires your attention, your grace, my apologies," Kat bowed, "I will speak with Brannis and Garth, and work with them to see that these ruffians don't bring harm to House Ulgo."

"I am sure Brannis will find a suitable
political solution, as is his way," he said dismissively.

Katarzyna knew better than to poke at other people through the Force, even if she was trained to pick up on other people's emotions. But as she had learned with Master Syo, the Force was an ally, not a crutch, so she relied instead on her skill at keeping calm and reading the situation. Understanding people. Observe, think, and reflect, before acting.
She bowed once more in response to his dismissive tone. "Thank you for your time, your grace."

"Thank you for the update, Kataryzna," he said as a form of dismissal.

"My pleasure, your grace," she said in farewell, proper as always and walked calmly out of the room.
Her first impression was that she did not like this. At all. If her gut was right, the situation on Alderaan had suddenly become a lot more complicated.

Once the Jedi was long gone, Bouris added more notes to the plan on his datapad.
Jedi really were troublesome.
