[D6 MM] The Mild Hunt (not an actual hunt)

Aly was dressed in...fancy sporting gear? Is the closest equivalent at this point. Probably. Hopefully?

"So, how do you find Alderaan so far Tethys? Ignoring the...major conspiracy, potential civil war and stinky cheese we have."

"It's a beautiful planet." Tethys's lips quirk. "And I imagine you hear that often. It's true, though."

Unlike Aly, Tethys hasn't changed her style of dress notably for this outing. Same loose trousers, sleeveless tunic, light scarf, same boots. It's neither sunny enough nor inclement enough this morning to need an extra layer, so her generic outer robe is rolled up at the bottom of her bag.

"I can understand why people feel such conflict about the future, in a way. Most sentients are protective of their homes anyway, but Alderaan... it's special. No wonder some citizens are so afraid of losing it, or letting it change."

Aly smiled. "Often, but it's always good to hear." She eyed her companion. "I'm glad you visited, at least once. Have you visited other Core Worlds?"

She leaned down, glancing at a flower. "Yeah...things are tense. Getting invaded twice in as many decades has not helped matters, frankly. Only made things worse." She sighed. "I would hope people see reason, but when you're home and loved ones are threatened, it doesn't always happen sadly."

"A few, besides Coruscant. Duro and Chandrila briefly, while I was a padawan; I was in the Brentaal system for some weeks a couple of years ago... all together, though, I've been out on the Outer Rim much more than near the Core." Tethys shrugs one shoulder slightly, her gaze tracking out across the lightly wooded and--of course--lovely hillsides around them. "Because one person can more readily make a difference on the younger settled worlds, is the way I thought about that at first. Later I saw I was also following my Master's patterns." She chuckles at herself, a sound like water over round pebbles.

"I know places on the Rim that've seen as much war as Alderaan, or more." Her expression becomes more serious, as if thinking over a difficult problem (which, in fact, she is). "The feeling here is somehow different. Maybe wealthy planets and poorer ones understand fear in different ways."
