Omandri put a hand on the large mans shoulder to help try to still him. Why Giandra thought sending Olak was a good idea he would never understand, he liked the man but this wasn't an ideal environment for him. "Given the circumstances I am willing to believe Bryson's assassination was carried out by the Cunning Man. It happened mere hours after myself and Knight Hoshin and Knight Zyn had a talk with him."

"However until a culprit is found and proof is ensured House Thul does look like one of the parties that stands to gain the most from weakening us. Bryson was deeply investigating House Thul and told us as much when we spoke. It could be he was getting too close to finding something they wanted kept quiet just as easily as he may have crossed this Cunning Man." He spoke calmly but there were hints of anger and sadness in his voice, Bryson had been a friend and family after all.

Olak grunted and said, "So tell us more of this Cunning Man, which House do they work for? It is not House Rist."

[Zeno Thul]

Zeno nods, looking to those that have more intel. "Indeed. He's clearly living up to the name, assuming it's a he. Do we have any information on their agents and operatives?"

[Omandri Rist]

"Or," came a voice from the Ulgo section. "Could be he were 'bout t' find somethin' exonorating th' Thul, an' someone didn' like that idea."

"Guesswork an' finger pointing don't get us nowhere except deeper in this hole of distrust."

"Yes Mr. Ulgo which is why I said I would believe the Cunning Man did it as well. If we are here to be honest then I'm putting all the cards on the table I'm saying of all the options Cunning Man or Thul are the likely ones."

[Tethys Carrack]

Olak grunted and said, "So tell us more of this Cunning Man, which House do they work for? It is not House Rist."

"It seems quite likely he--or they--don't work for any House at all. An outside player."

Tethys opens a hand toward the Alderaanians present who've been involved in the investigation, inviting any or all of them to go into more detail about the Cunning Man and his... men (and women).

Better if they all hear as much as possible from their peers rather than an outsider.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"None of the Houses, Baron," Kat said respectfully to the big muscle man. "I believe dr. Rist has the right of it, in that Bryson Rist was most likely removed by the Cunning Man or their associates, for knowing too much or becoming a liability."

"The protestors and rioters, such as those who attack prince Joran and were trying to attack during the Flower Parade were all egged on and manipulated by these people working for the Cunning Man, such as the one Major Organa arrested yesterday. I'm not denying that these people have a reason to be upset with things, but their feelings were taken advantage of by extremism."

[Zeno Thul]

Zeno looked to Yulastranza to try and gauge how she was reacting to all of this. It felt a little bit like Ulgo was leaning on their family Jedi and Rist. He kind of wondered if sore feelings about Gaul might influence her participation as well.

[Dapper Dog]

"House Rist has our condolences for Lord Bryson Rist. I was always an admirer of his professionalism even if we were on opposite sides. Our agents have been investigating this matter deeply and we believe this Cunning Man was behind the incident that tried to breed division between House Thul and House Panteer."

They added, "We believe the Jedi that this outside threat is real, and that the Cunning Man is most likely involved."

[Niall Organa]

Niall glanced at Kat, then back to Olak. "The goal of the group has been to use exploit existing faultlines to bring about the destabilization of Alderaan. To this end, their computer experts have been creating false evidence as much as possible. We've seem them do this against the Thul, the Jedi, and even myself. The agent we arrested has confirmed as much." He tapped the datapad.

He grimaced. "Further, a number of House Organa staff have admitted to accepting bribes for providing footage or intelligence to be used by this group. I suspect we all need to be doing internal audits."

[Dapper Dog]

Xero Thul said, "I enjoy a good security audit, keeps the underlings in line. Thank you for that suggestion, Major Organa."

[Zeno Thul]

Zeno nods in agreement, finishing his scone. He nods to Xero in thanks for it.

"I think that, in the interests of transparency, any questioning of agents of the cunning man should have an ADF security professional or a representative of the Jedi order present."

[Niall Organa]

Niall nodded to Zeno, then turned to the rest. "Or a Republic representative. SIS rounded up a number of these cells yesterday."

He took a deep breath. "There is also evidence that this plot is to not only undermine Alderaan, but also separate it from the Republic. That's why the pro-Ulgo protestors were so anti-Republic, even though Ulgo and the Republic have traditionally been friendly."

[Dapper Dog]

Xero exclaimed, "Diabolical."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"By the way, Baron Olak," Kat looked at Olak Rist, bowing her head. "Who told you House Thul was responsible for Bryson Rist's death?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Who else would it be?" he said exasperated.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"I'm asking if anyone told you," she responded calmly. "Not who you wanted to accuse. Since we all know now that there are elements within our Houses trying to push us all to civil war, we shouldn't be quick to jump to conclusions."

[Niall Organa]

"Who else would it be?" he said exasperated.

"Members of this same conspiracy." Niall said. "The evidence speaks to Bryson Rist as being involved in producing some of the altered evidence that was presented to the Royal family against the Thuls."

He continued to speak, looking at Olak. "Yesterday, when we captured the agent, we also foiled an assassination attempt on her. The Cunning Man, or his organization, seems to like to tie up loose ends. I'm sorry, Baron, but that is likely why your friend was killed. This conspiracy saw him as a tool to be disposed of."

"Well who is this Cunning Man!" he said loudly slamming his fist on the table.
