Serenity (D2, LE. Open)

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

Kat nodded, and put a hand to her forehead. Fingers pressed against the skin there as she tried to imagine why Riss had been so roundabout about it.

"Ugh... why didn't she just talk honestly with you? I swear, she sometimes makes things so much more complicated than they need to be."

[Omandri Rist]

He laughed out loud a bit at that "I'd expect nothing less from her. I'm going to go with the more charitable consideration and say she didn't want to worry me. Better than thinking she doesn't trust me." He chuckled a little.

"So how do you know the good Captain Riss?" He asked his tone shifting for the better.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"Probably. But still! She should've been up front about it. But if I had a credit for every time Riss wasn't up front about things, well, I'd be a rich Jedi."

She shook her head a little, an amused smile on her face. "I've known her a while. First when we were children. Then I went to Coruscant to do my training, and it would be some years until we met again. I found she was a good friend to have as a Jedi Knight that wanted to travel the Galaxy to help people - she had a ship and well, she wasn't charging anything, except for my cleaning and occassional mechanic-work - stars knows that ship needs it. Did that for a couple of years."

"Then by chance she happened to be on Coruscant when I was when... the Sith attacked. She got me off the planet so I'm eternally grateful for that."

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri laughed at the mechanic work part "Oh force knows she doesn't even do the minimum maintenance on the poor ship."

"Man it sounds like you both go way back, thats cool. It's nice to meet someone from her younger days. Means you can tell me all the embarrassing stories." He said with a grin. "But has Riss always been so..." He moved his hands around vaguely "Riss...?"

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

Kat laughed. Omandri understood.

"Riss was always Riss, even when we were younger. But she certainly... hmmm... found herself so to speak in the time between we parted as children and met again as adults. She at least had to behave somewhat when we were younger, so she couldn't act out quite so much," she grinned. "But how did you two meet?"

[Omandri Rist]

He laughed a little more at that "sorry sorry just, the idea of young noble Riss having to follow rules for Etiquette and proper dining and politeness just..." He shook his head "....doesn't sound like the woman I know."

He reigned in the remnants of his laugh to answer her question "well I was getting out of the military and still had some connections. Riss was a well recommended privateer so she shuttled me to the Outer Rim and to a few planets out there." His skin flushed just enough to tell with his darker tone as he thought about the long nights on the hyperspace lanes "it was uhhh a bit of a whirlwind."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

That flush pretty much told her all she needed to know there. "Whirlwind seems a pretty accurate description for Riss and her life - and her life coming into yours," she chuckled.

[Omandri Rist]

The Doctor cleared his throat and regained his Composure "Yes it certainly does. Didn't really hear too much from her in the time since but saw her on my first day back and bam!" He snapped his fingers "it was like she never left." He said with a bit of amusement.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"Sounds like her alright," she agreed with a wide smile. "So... she asked you to help out with this whole contract thing, right? I admit it's all over my head, and it's often been one of the things I've disliked about Alderaan."

[Omandri Rist]

He nodded "You and me both." He said with a frown and shrugged "unfortunately it's not something I could publicly speak against. My family doesn't agree with me but they leave me in relative peace."

"But yes she came to me and asked for my help, asked about any way out from under it. For a friend." He added with a wry grin and then a soft laugh "such a silly lie, should have seen through it. Guess she still keeps me from thinking straight sometimes."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"Yeah, you should've," Kat chuckled. "... Don't suppose you know anything that could help her out?"

[Omandri Rist]

Oamndri took a deep breath and let it out slowly bringing his knees up, resting his arms on them and then his chin on his arms "not right now, unfortunately the one part of my studies I never leaned into was all the assassin , mortality, contract, business. But I plan to meet with my sister tomorrow. She knows that world better than anyone."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"Ah I see." She nodded, understanding. "I hope it will give some answers then... I just hope this can be solved somehow without her indebting herself for the rest of her life to some crimelords or worse."

[Omandri Rist]

"Well we'll certainly find out. I'm not even sure a crime lord could come up with the sum of money being requested." His head rose and he gave Kat a hopeful smile "but hey we've got a lot of good heads working on this. I'm sure something will shake loose."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

She wasn't sure if she'd count Bo as a good head working on this, and Riss was... Riss.

"I hope so. Trust in the Force, but more importantly, trust in the skill and tenacity of the people you know."

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri smiled a little "Well not sure I've ever trusted in the Force but I am happy to trust in the other stuff you said." He replied with a chuckle "if my time in the military and travelling has taught me anything its that with good help most problems can be over come." He said hopefully.

Omandri took a breath "Well it has been lovely to meet you Knight Ulgo." He stood and brushed and dirt or leaves off him "I hope we can chat again. It's been a pleasure." He said smiling warmly down to the jedi

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

She chuckled. "Many Jedi say trust in the Force, but someone told me to trust more in the abilities of people more. Some might argue it's one and the same sometimes, but... well, I like the sentiment."

As Omandri stood, Kat looked up and offered him a bow of her head, then back up again. "It was nice to meet you too, Omandri Rist. Hopefully our paths will cross more again in the future. And knowing Riss, they probably will."

[Omandri Rist]

His smile gained a bit of an amused look to it "Yes knowing her they certainly will. I look forward to it." He said and gave her a bit of a wave and decided to head back the way he came whistling a happy sounding tune as he walked.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

A wave was given in return, and after watching Omandri leave, Kat returned her attention to lightsaber that had been put aside during the conversation.

The Force worked in mysterious ways sometimes.

She'd remain there for a bit longer, basking in the feeling of life around here, before finally returning to her thranta that had been waiting not too far away and flying off.
