[D2 MA] Beautiful Backdrops

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri had sent Breela a message to wait in a spot outside of the place for guests to stay that had plenty of open space. He had timed it so that he would arrive a little after the time he told her to be there, not long enough to be rude but enough so that she would be there already when he arrived.

After some time Omandri would come swooping out of the sky on the back of a large gray thranta landing gently with all the grace of an extensively trained transportation beast. Omandri was dressed in very sturdy and practical brown and tan clothing. the large saddle had a big military style backpack attached to it and a few more spaces for more things.

He smiled down to Breela and extended a hand to her "Sorry there was a line at the rental place." he said with a chuckle.

She had been nervously pacing, checking her watch, and rehearsing the carefully worded treatise on why going any further would be a terrible idea. Then he came from the sky with that stupidly charming smile and held out his hand.

"Sorry there was a line at the rental place." he said with a chuckle.

She raised an eyebrow and grinned, "You must not be planning a second date if you're going this far for the first." She took his hand and stepped up awkwardly. Nervous that she might hurt the creature by stepping wrong she lost her footing. "Whoa-" stumbling forward into his arms. "Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, not getting fresh I promise!"

Omandri caught Breela deftly a hand on her hip and shoulder he guided her to sit behind him "Now Breela I'm more offended that wasn't just an oppurtinistic feigned accident used as an excuse to embrace me." he said grinning a little at her.

"Please strap yourself in, I'd hate to lose you mid flight and for this date to turn into a work thing." he joked. The saddle indeed had fastenings the secured the rider to the beast but also had quick release tabs for emergencies "Now hold in tight, i'm not very good at this but Nebula here is extremely well trained so we're in good hands with her, well, wings rather."

She laughed out loud, instantly over her humiliation. "Hey! You may have me off my feet but that doesn't mean I'm giving in just yet!"

She rolled her eyes and secured herself to Nebula. With one hand on the saddle she said, "I'm all good back here! Let's ride!" Then accentuated the command with a playful slap across his haunches.

Grinning Omandri flicked the reigns and the tyrants took off into the air rising about the city and heading toward the wild lands. It was already a rather unique view being so high up and looking down on all the people in the city, seeing everything from a different perspective "they look so small down there don't they. It all doe, all the problems and stuff seem less...big when up here." He said loudly, shouting over the sound of the wind whipping around them as they flew.

Grinning Omandri flicked the reigns and the thranta took off into the air rising about the city and heading toward the wild lands.

She holds on easily and takes it all in with glee. "This? This was a good idea!"

It was already a rather unique view being so high up and looking down on all the people in the city, seeing everything from a different perspective "they look so small down there don't they. It all does, all the problems and stuff seem less...big when up here." He said loudly, shouting over the sound of the wind whipping around them as they flew.

His expression, it seemed like something was troubling him. "You don't seem the type to play politics, I'm guessing it's not easy being a Rist right now."

He smiled easily "I'm glade you like it! The city looks best from above in my opinion." Soon enough they were leaving the city gliding over smaller towns that surrounded the capitol

He didn't seem to be upset more like this was a part of his life he accepted by now. "But you're right, I'm not one for playing politics but my family needs me so I'm here."

She looks away worried, her thoughts immediately jump to the squabble between House Rist and Layne Hoshin. "I..." she wavers for a moment but ultimately says, "I want you to know that I'm a Jedi Knight, and last night at Bar Shaddaa. You caught me in the middle of information gathering - but not in regards to the feud. I just want you to know that... so you don't say anything that might compromise your house. Full disclosure."

Her ambiguous place in the order aside, she only cared that he wouldn't be caught off guard. It was the least she could do for him, considering what he was doing for her.

Omandri listened and shrugged a little "No worries, though Bar Shaddaa is a weird place to do information gathering." he said with a chuckle "As for sensitive information don't worry I did grow up with spies as nannies basically. I won't say anything important."

She breathed a sigh of relief. "My nannies carried plasma swords and always encouraged me to do 'ten more reps'." She slid up closer to him, "Thanks for this, and for understanding." She purred. "For now at least we have this, so let's just enjoy it. Be damned what tomorrow brings."

Omandri smiled though while the thranta was swell trained he liked to pay attention to where they were going so he didn't look back "Of course, we all have our duties, it shouldn't effect how we spend our off time. Besides it's not like we are enemies or anything anyway. Even though I understand if things are complicated." He admitted, House Rist probably wasn't the most well received with the jedi at the moment.

This time he did glance over her shoulder "But as you said leave tomorrow's problems for tomorrow. I can get behind that." He looked back out over the landscape Alderaan was a beautiful planet through and through. The nature was well preserved and lush they were just about to leave the civilized parts behind only thing around were the odd estate or far out farmstead as metropolitan slowly gave way to rural.

She snuggled up and leaned her head against his back. His warmth and smell mingling with the clean crisp air, making a cocktail sweeter than the finest Daruvvian wine. Below the landscape gave way to something she hadn't yet fully come to appreciate since arriving: Rural countryside. Complete with picturesque farms, vineyards, and pastures that seemed to stretch to the horizon. Lovely snowcapped mountains and forests. She could have stayed up there with him all day.

"It really is... beautiful."

He felt her snuggle up to him and smiled a bit looking out over the view he spotted what he was looking for. He truthfully hadn't been sure it would still be there after all these years but he adjusted the reins and the thranta began to descend towards a clearing in the trees at the top on a very large hill just shy of being a mountain.

The thranta landed gracefully with very little jolting they were in a clearing that was full of plant life many different colorful wild flowers filled the area and the soft sound of water filled the place as a small stream flowed downhill. "I used to come here sometimes to clear my head, to think. It's far enough out that you don't often get people out here but still within the area that is controlled against predators." He explained as he undid his fastening straps and slid off the thranta with practiced ease leashing the large creature to a tree before returning to help Breela down if she needed it.

She immersed herself in the life energy of the place and it was beautiful, absolutely beautiful. She happily took his help even though she didn't need it. "Thank you," she grinned, "if I didn't know better I'd almost think you found yourself a force nexus here. I might have to come back and meditate some time."

Omandri chuckled "if I have then it was entirely by accident. I don't have a lick of sensitivity to the force. Studied enough force sensitive traditions, tried various meditation techniques. Nothing." He said with a chuckle "just always thought this spot was really pretty."

"And I'm sure you bring every girl here, I'd bet you even have a preferred spot to sit and 'talk'." She pushed him teasingly before walking over to the stream, absently trying to find its source. Definitely gonna make this my new meditation spot.

Omandri put his hands up defensively but chuckled "hey I have brought a few people here, mostly friends maaaaybe a lover or two but that hasn't been for a long time." He said in a playful tone "I told you I would show you Alderaan and this is one of the better spots." He continued as he followed her to the stream where clean clear water ran over stones even a small fish or two would zip past.

She laughed easily, "No it doesn't. And this is the part of Alderaan I need most right now." She gave up trying to trace the source and found the coziest rock with the best view. Removing her gloves, jacket and the stun-cloak underneath it, she let both her hair and her defenses down. Folding them up and stuffing them into her pack that she hung up on the adjacent stone. Then folding her legs neatly she sat down leaving plenty of room for him to join. "You don't strike me as a flower though, maybe a weed if I'm feeling generous." She made a silly face at him.

Omamdri watched as she took off her outer layers and placed them in a pack. He chuckled "Well some weeds are quite beautiful, they are more durable than a flower, and much more persistent. So I think I'll take that as a compliment miss Po." He replied with a wink.

[Breela Po]

She rolled her eyes, "You should, it's the healing herbs that often masquerade as weeds. Flowers like me are the ones that kill." She pats the stone, hoping he'll take the hint.
