Ziandra Thul had a great love for thrantas a love she shared with the Queen, and so she had brought many of the majestic creatures from her stables out to the fields to show off and teach those that are willing, how to ride.
The beasts are playful and well trained but still there is some danger if someone is careless.

The Queen was tending to her prized thrantas in riding gear as Ziandra gave guidance to the newer riders.

The rain was coming down but it was not storming, just a steady rain. It did not seem to bother the queen who was dressed for riding but Ziandra Thul stood under cover as she tended to a thranta.

Still dressed from dinner, Garth arrived and slicked back his wet hair before he ducked under the cover to get some respite from the rain.
"Duchess, ah'm pleased t' meet you." He greets Ziandra, with what his cultural manual told him was an appropriately respectful courtly bow. "Name's Garth, Garth Ulgo."

Galen was looking forward to seeing the flying mounts.
"Good evening." he offered a clumsy bow as he arrived, still unsure of the proper decorum. ""I've been very interested in meeting the thranta."

From above came rain....then came a great black shape tumbling downwards before slamming into the ground in a great spurt of mud.
[Day 3 - ME] Thranta, Thranta, ride a Thranta, Survival/Cunning. Boost from Ziandra, boost from Jocasta inspiring rhetoric, intense focus:
1eP+1eA+2eB+2eD 2 failures, 2 advantage
"...Slippery devils these things! You'd think they'd never born a Hutt before."
Pantha hurries over and starts dabbing at the mud on Keyhote's face as he levers himself out of the crater
"Master, Lady Teraan said to keep your weight forward!"
"I thought she said back?"
"She said
don't lean back!"
"Ohhhh....well."
Keyhote waves up at the indignant Thranta "I apologise! The fault is mine noble steed."

When hutts fly. was all Galen could think before being covered in mud.
"Are... are you alright?"

Garth interposes himself between the tidal wave of Hutt mud and the Duchess, completely covering his nice outfit in mud.
Scraping the gunk off his face, he looks in the direction, but the creature seems unhurt, thankfully.

Jocasta was sore after the Huttball "
Exhibition" Match, but she made her way to the staging area for the thranta ride. She had trained to ride thranta in her childhood, but hadn't been around them since she enlisted.
Milling around, she spoke to some of those she had met in the past few days, offering tips and words of encouragements where she could.

She was curious to see how the Hutt would fair. He was... heavyset, but seemed agile.
As he took flight she could only think, '
Lean forward, I told you to keep your weight forward.' Well, he took that with grace and poise at least.

"Hmmm? Oh yes yes. Quite alright. Mud is my people's natural habitat you know! What I have lost in dignity I have only gained in skin moisturisation!"
Looking around
"And I appear to have moisturised some others! My apologies good people."

"It's just mud." Galen gave a dismissive wave. "It will wash off."

After taking some time to speak with the other riders and watching Desilijic somehow become more endearing in his failure, Jocasta made her way over to the Queen.
Coming to attention, she gives a respectful salute, "Your Highness, this is quite an impressive flock you have bred here. May I ask, what type of diet do you prefer for your stable, natural or supplemented?"

Aurilie was of course going to make it to an event where thranta were involved. While her riding experience was admittedly modest, she thought she had a good hand at managing the majestic beasts. The climate of the mountains made keeping them a hassle but she would trust riding a thranta through a snowfall over a hover skiff, just barely. She would make an appearance at the event in a combination of
tweed and leather, ready with riding boots and gloves. It seemed like she made it just in time to catch a few people getting a handle on the thranta. This was going to be worth the price of admission alone.

After using the rain to clean up a bit, Galen approached one of the thranta.
"Hello there. Aren't you beautiful?" he spoke to it with a soft soothing tone, hoping to make a new friend. He tried to make that clear through the Force, but found himself too unfocused for that.
Even so, the creature seemed comfortable with him. He was soon comfortably on its back and it quickly took to the air.
"Wooooo
ooooooooooooooooooo..........!!!!!!!"

"What an excellent opportunity after we'd spoken about such creatures," Cynella said. In comparison to dear Aurilie, her garments were rather drab. She'd opted for athletic gear instead of anything more courtly. Whether or not that was best for riding was beyond her comprehension. "Have the last couple days treated you well? I look forward to our future meeting." She tapped her lips. "Perhaps tomorrow, then?
"In the meantime, I figure I should give this a try!" She approached the thranta and managed to establish friendly terms. Confident in her ability, she went straight for a mounting. However, in its playfulness, the creature tilted over, sending the dear Kuati lady tumbling onto the ground.
While her body was unharmed, her pride had suffered a mighty blow. "Now I thought I'd done it completely right."

Aurilie was delighted to see Cynella again or perhaps that's what her smile would suggest at least. "Good to see you again so soon, Lady Cynella, and I'm glad you haven't forgotten about our idea so soon. I had feared the last few days might have slipped past you, not that I would have blamed you if that were the case. We are surrounded by charming company, much like yourself, of course. Tomorrow would be delightful, I do look forward to it."
"Careful, there!" She would call out to Cynella and fighting down the urge to chuckle. The prince was in the process of hanging up her blazer, rolling up her sleeves and managing her hair in a ponytail for the occasion. It wasn't perfect weather for riding and she wasn't sure if this was meant to be an occasion where they were going to take a spin or go for a legitimate nighttime ride.
After she was sufficiently prepared, she finally tried her hand at taming the thranta.

It seemed like the day was kind to her and the thranta was cooperative in allowing the prince to mount atop its back! She gave it an affectionate pat on its neck. "Good boy."

Delmi also decided to take her shot at riding a Thranta. She approached and listened carefully to the instruction and set off as soon as she was allowed.
Once in the air she felt at home as the gentle beast carried them along the wind currents around the wild countryside.
I could get used to something like this…
Eventually she would come down and give her thanks to the women in charge… Her first major contact with Lady Thul.

"Of course you haven't slipped my mind. I'd have meant to call upon you sooner, perhaps at the Huttball game, but there were more pressing matters at hand." Seemed like she had a competitive streak.
Cynella crawled away from the thranta and re-did her hair in the interim. Close to when she'd finished, Aurilie succeeded in mounting the fair creature. "It would seem that you are a natural. That or you've had much more exposure than I. Is there some sort of secret that I neglected to use?"
Despite her earlier claims, it seemed that their next meeting had in fact been out of her element. Just as well, the Prince of Joral seemed to enjoy the wilderness.
Where would she be out of place? Ah, and I suppose we did see each other at the field. Our date... that's where we'll be on equal footing!

The Count accepted Jocasta's words of encouragement though his first focus was to establish an emotional link with the animal. He soothed its anxiety about the stranger and spent time to play with it a bit, making it responsive to his signals.
