Kellen grinned as he looked out at the view taking a big gulp of mountain air. The sun was shining, the light reflected off the lake water below. It was truly majestic.
"What a day to be alive!"
He looked at his travelling companions and used his datapad to capture an image. "No one blinked, well done!"

Bryson had brought his whole clan out, his two girls and the eldest a son. He was a computer analyst for House Rist, and had the ear of Giandra so he was well placed even if he was just the noble equivalent of middle management.
Once the picture was done the two girls ran off to play while he and his son started putting out a picnic.
He said to Kellen, “Thanks again for allowing me to bring the kids. I would much prefer this to setting them loose on the festival grounds. I'll get the grill going once things are set.”

The Professor gave him an understanding smile. "No problem. I used to love coming up here as a kid, they'll remember it fondly...once they stop complaining about missing out on holoshows or cotton candy." He laughed pleasantly.
"Maybe I can pick your brain a little while we're out here Bryson? The clear air helps me think, and I have a problem you might be best qualified to solve."

He started putting together his portable grill and said, "Shoot, professor."

"Hum, it's odd being back here again. It have been 12 plus years now." Zayne said. He was wearing cargo clothing, lightsaber and backpack with a thermal cloak inside. "It is sort of as out-of-body experience, or some such." He looked out at the horizon.

"I'm tracking a stolen artifact. Messy business. Seems some mercenaries were hired and double-crossed the potential buyer. The Thief and item are missing, some innocent people were killed." A little scene setting always helped.
"Now I have a codename for the possible mastermind behind the operation, and a holonet account name for the mercenaries." He looked out across the majestic landscape. "I don't suppose you know if an account name can be used to track down its owner do you?"

“It depends, if they are an amateurish lot, definitely. If professional, it’s probably a dummy or burner account. But it could be possible to see where those messages are coming from and get an idea. I can look into it for you,” he responded.

"Now that I can agree with."

"Thank you, I really appreciate it Bryson." Kellen passed the information along and started to help with lunch. He grinned at Zayne. "It's magical isn't it! Nothing like it."

Gil was for the most part watching the countryside and letting the nobles speak to each other. Not that he wasn't interested in conversation, but it was nice to be away from the crowds of the Faire.

Omandri was doing something similar to Gil, just taking time to enjoy the part of Alderaan he loved most. Sitting leaning back in his hands the young doctor looked out over the Alderaanian wilderness with a contented sigh.

The Professor whistled. "Wow, that was fast, and at lunchtime too! Impressive work, thank you."
After a few moments of looking out at the Vista for inspiration he added: "Are you free later today? I'd like to get this resolved before the relic, or the mercenaries, end up off world."

"Oh just your time. I think it might be more Gil's skill set once we track them down." He grinned. "If you know a good slicer for the on site work though I'd love a recommendation."

Omandri was sitting near by and couldn't help but over hear a bit, he stood and dusted himself off walking over to the pair "Well if you're getting into a bit of a prickly situation probably wouldn't hurt to have a combat medic with you as well."

"Easy enough," he said in reply as he started grilling.

"Got some work for me later?" Gil asked perking up a bit as he looked back towards the conversation. Of course it wasn't like he was lookign forwrd to beating people, it didn't hurt to leave that impression though. Well, it probably did though these three likely knew it was mostly a game.

"I won't say no cousin, thank you." He grinned and patted Omandri's shoulder. "Hopefully the only patching up needed will be some mercenaries and thieves once we're through with them."

"Absolutely Gil. I was hoping you'd be keen. I'm expecting this enquiry might lead to trouble, and I know you enjoy getting into a bit of trouble." He chuckled and went back to helping with the food.

Omandri nodded with a smile "Well thats usually the hope but always good to have someone on hand in case things go sideways."
He looked to Bryson "thats pretty amazing computer work you do. Maybe one day while I'm here I can pick your brain for pointers. I've been looking to expand my skill set."
