Free Agent Trading (D4, MA)

[Delmi Koor]

Delmi stood outside of Layne's craft in the middle of the designated field with her mom's hands still tied behind her back.

They had only just touched down and walked down the ramp.

"So... what now?" She asked as she gripped her mother's wrist.

[Layne Hoshin]

Layne looked annoyed as hell that they were just letting her go like this, and certainly looked ready to lightsaber the hell out of the problem if the woman gave her any reason to...

...but maybe this *was* the way to go. She honestly didn't know. The Force did sometimes work in weird ways, and hell... Layne's whole life was basically tied together by a continuing series of decisions best described as 'you did *what*!?'; which had *somehow* worked out for her thus far.

[Dapper Dog]

"Now you leave, and I will send you second coordinates," she responded.

[Delmi Koor]

"See I don't really... like this idea..." Delmi replied.

"I have no assurances that you will actually play by any part of the deal... So I can either stay here with you and have Layne go pick up Theron... Or you can at least provide some proof that he's there where you are sending us."

[Dapper Dog]

“This is the deal, the longer you take here the more likely you won’t find him live at all. He is alive, but time is running out,” she responded.

“One of us has to trust the other, and I am not inclined to trust you, yet.”

[Delmi Koor]

Delmi's voice reveals her annoyance when after a few seconds she said, "Send the coordinates."

Delmi released her mother's restraints and turned her back on the other woman.

[Dapper Dog]

The woman rubbed her wrists and then walked forward a few steps before saying, “Thank you.”

She faded from sight.

The coordinates are messaged to her from an unnamed account.

[Delmi Koor]

Delmi quickly stepped into the cockpit and sped off in the direction of the coordinates.

[Layne Hoshin]

Presumably Delmi had *at least* been kind enough to wait for Layne to get in *also*. Otherwise Layne would be standing around in an empty field rather awkwardly.

"Really hope this goes the way you're hoping it's gonna go, because I really don't want to have to go after her again today."

[Delmi Koor]

"It'll be tomorrow... not todaaay." She replied in a joking voice... but obviously she was at the end of her own rope about the woman they dropped off.

[Layne Hoshin]

"You didn't forget to put the expensive experimental trackers in her bloodstream while she was unconscious, right? I got them especially for this sort of situation."

[Delmi Koor]

"Shoulda let me know." She said in a deadpan voice.

She then looked over and waved her finger pointing at the two of them back and forth.

"We've got to work on our communication." She smirked as best as she could while focusing on getting to coordinates as quickly as possible.

[Layne Hoshin]

"I've been told that by a lot of people," she replied, looking out for any signs of them nearing the coordinates and whatever it is they might find there.

[Dapper Dog]

The coordinates lead to a small brook in the wilderness where they find a bruised Theron laying in the shallow water.

In his hand is a data chit. He is not conscious.

There is an inbound message to Delmi.

[Delmi Koor]

Delmi makes sure to get her friend out of the water and non-verbally tell Layne to check on him before walking off a couple of steps and opening up her comm link.

[Dapper Dog]

"Adrenalin directly to the heart, I'll be in touch. Pockets," the woman said and then ended the call.

[Delmi Koor]

Delmi stepped back over to Theron and checked his pockets. If she found the shot she would prepare it and stab it into his chest without delay.

[Dapper Dog]

Theron coughed and then said, "Kriff, what happened? I feel like death."

[Delmi Koor]

"Well... you pretty much were." Delmi said as she crouched down in front of him.

"Looks like the Cunning Man got the jump on you my friend..." She smiled softly at seeing him come back to the land of the living.

She then pointed to the chit in his hand, "Mind if I see that?"

[Dapper Dog]

Theron frowned and said, “Kriff, I got sloppy. And the Cunning Man has people on the inside of SIS… I really hope not but if they got to me… kriff.”

He handed over the data chit.
