When One Meets a Queen [Day 7, MM]

[Riss]

Bright and early was never Riss' style. Sleeping before the sun came back up was also, never Riss' style. Yet, since she had arrived on Alderaan this has changed dramatically. She was sleeping at.. decent times. It was horrible. Is horrible. Waking up the the calming rays of the morning, dressing oneself appropriately, and then heading out to meet for something official? It wasn't the first time, wouldn't be the last. However this time was most assuredly going to be a special one.

Leaving behind her usual ratty looking jacket at home, the blasters too considering the heightened security around the palace today, Riss made her way toward seeing about that official recognition from the queen. Asking after, and being pointed into, all the right directions eventually. Though it did take her a little bit, she was feeling chatty this morning.

The Queen was having her breakfast when the guards brought her before the woman. Prince Unther was seated at the table on the balcony. Both focused on Riss.

[Riss]

Little shiver of the feeling looking to her at the dance, those exacting eyes. Shiver working it's way up her back discreetly until it breaks out through a brief smile. "Your grace, I have something I wanted to talk about, ask you for," one hand moving to rest on her hip, favoring the opposite foot as she stands there. A casual glance over by Unther was shared, a quick wave, "Hey."

"Didn't know I'd be interrupting breakfast though," another brighter grin, wider at the side, "Sorry about that. Have.. no idea when people normally eat in the morning," she offers with the touch of humor in her tone.

“We have a well-balanced breakfast,” she said calmly. “Go ahead with your request, Riss. We are listening.”

[Riss]

"You at least know who I am," she says, taking a moment to process she stands a little bit taller.

"You know who my father was, and you've addressed me as such. I came to ask for a few steps more than that. Recognition, of who I am. So that I might do something about it, reclaim my name.. be a part of Alderaan again," hands on her hips she shrugs, it's a little awkward.

"Girl who ran away wants to come home and play a part, a bigger part," she offers with a brief smile.

“House Lanar was destroyed by House Thul, it was done justly or as just as such feuds can be. To mend such bad blood then we believe House Lanar and House Thul must make amends. Are you prepared to do that?” she said.

[Riss]

Riss held herself steady a moment, a cool easy breath, "What does that require me to do?" she asks, her tone's even, perhaps even determined.

“Tomorrow we shall host a détente and invite both you and House Thul to a luncheon. You may bring a an advocate as we are sure House Thul will do. This is our command,” she finished.

[Riss]

"I've been away from Alderaan for some time.." she glances down a moment, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. "Just to be sure, who would be a good choice for an advocate? Major Niall Organa has offered the help of the Organa, to support me if I were to be recognized, he would do?" she asks, a quick glance to Unther but then focusing back on the queen.

Unther nodded at the mention of the Major as the Queen continued, “We cannot say who you should bring, but it should be someone that you feel believes in your cause. This is the role that a House head must decide.”

[Riss]

"I can do that," Riss nods. Casting another glance back to Unther she gives him a quick smile, appreciation. Before focusing back on the queen. "Tomorrow then. Thank you, your grace," she says with an appropriate dip.

Adding, "I'll leave you to your breakfast.." a nod back over her shoulder toward the exit. She chuckles, "It smells good."

The Queen dismissed her and returned to her meal.

[Riss]

And so Riss departed.
