Two of a Kind [Day 3, EE]

[Riss]

Given everything that happened earlier, the original attempt didn't quite go so great as Joran slipped through her fingers. Which meant that she was forced to start considering the option that Kat gave her. Uncertain of it as she was, was always worth a shot. Fishing the chit out of its often-home she slips it into one of her pockets instead before entering the palace proper and looking for the man of the hour, Gaul Panteer.

[Dapper Dog]

The guards check her weapons before she is guided to the royal apartments. Once there she is allowed inside where Gaul is reading a datapad on his large bed.

[Riss]

Riss makes some passive comment about how it better be taken good care of, but is willing to hand it over with ease. All a part of the deal.

Once there.

Riss walks more inside than just when she was let in, striding about the open space, "Well, this is about as comfy as I thought it'd be," she comments, as if to herself. Something said to grab attention.

[Dapper Dog]

"Oh... yes, I was told I had a guest, Riss right?" he said.

[Riss]

"Heyyy, you remembered," she says, continuing to look about the room a few more seconds. Until she strides in over toward the end of the bed and stands there, hand on her hip.

"I need some help, mind hearing me out?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I hope it's a better than your questionable game rules," he said.

"Please do go on, though."

[Riss]

"Look.. it was supposed to be a fun game. That game is fun, played it plenty of times on other occasions an-" she raised a hand, giving herself pause and grumbles shaking her head. "Not the point, Riss," she chides herself and sits at the edge of the bed. Resting her hands in her lap as she does so.

"It is. Okay, so- I've been trying to get to your brother but the guard snatched him away before I had a chance before when I helped out.m," she says, hand reaching into her pocket for the chit she pulls it out and holds it passively in her hand. "Kat suggested I could come to you, and you'd help me. I.. didn't want to, I wanted a chance to talk to your brother and apologize for.. what I think was just a misunderstanding to very poorly chosen words but," she sighs, straightening herself again."This-" she holds up the chit, "Is more important than all that."

A moment, a laugh, "That's.. actually pretty wild of me to say actually," she glances down, mumbling to herself, "Kriff me that's.. revealing," she shakes her head and refocuses.

[Dapper Dog]

"You have a lot of emotional issues to work out... but you said this is important? What is this?" he asked looking at the data chit.

[Riss]

Riss holds a moment, her eyes half-lid as she works in taking that comment in stride and refocuses, "Information that would reveal a plot against your family, something that's only coded for Joran to be able to unlock," she says, bringing the chit up and holding it in the space between them firmly. Keeping a hold on it as she says, "I- I don't know if trusting you is the call," she gives a small smile, a shrug, "but Kat, Kat seems to. So I'm not trusting you, I'm trusting Kat who's trusting you. Just.. remember that."

[Dapper Dog]

"If my family is in danger, then yes you can trust me," he said seriously.

[Riss]

"I won't, but I don't need to, not totally. Just make sure this gets to Joran," she says, and offers it over. "Be careful who else you trust, they're supposedly folk who are real close to you guys already. You, your mom, and the other heirs. And.." she leads, shifting a little on the edge of the bed, "maybe if you can do me the favor, give him the idea I'm sorry? But also that he's a dick for walking out before I could explain."

"If you.. need anything, just let me know. Alright?"

[Dapper Dog]

"You have my word, Joran will get this," he swore.

[Riss]

"Okay.. well, that's it," she says, but hesitates when it comes to standing for a moment.

[Dapper Dog]

He stood as well and walks her out, "Thank you for trusting me with this, Riss."

[Riss]

Riss gets up, begins to walk out but she hesitates, looks back to him, and puts a closed fist on his chest, "Don't.. make me regret it," she said, dealing with a shiver of a thought.

Laying her hand back down she turns, a s leaves as she was walked out.
