[Dapper Dog]

She took the offered hand and shook it firmly and then said, “Greetings master Jedi, I have some time to spare, though I have other charges that demand my attention.”

[Galen Sol]

"Galen Sol." he introduced himself, as well.

[Garth Wayne Ulgo]

"Well if we get invaded and need space-air superiority then maybe, but I think it might have to wait otherwise. I sadly left the keys to my space fighter in my other designer dress," she responded.

"Then mah 'pinion will have t' give ya benefit of the doubt. But in lieu 'f some exhil'rating mock battles, whatcha do round here t' pass the time?"

She giggled and then said, “I stay busy; working out, art projects, shopping, writing, rebuilding engines or trying to, kickboxing, meditation, cooking, modeling… I mean I have a lot of interests and friends. Why limit yourself when you can enjoy life and try new things.”

“I mean you know how that is right?”

"Don't look at me like that," she gives a very gentle shove as she leans back. "Acting like you've never been greeted like that at a party before.. though, yikes. Maybe you really have never gone to parties that.. aren't this," she grimaces, chuckles, and shakes her head. Looking over her shoulder and following with it to Brannis, extending a hand toward him, "Pleasure."

Brannis is hardly one to be at a loss for words, although Kat's... friend? is such a contrast to her that he's unsure what would even be helpful here.

"Of... course..." he says very slowly, skepticism evident. But he takes the offered hand and musters a polite smile. "A pleasure, Captain Riss. Captain of, ah, what outfit?" he inquires, guessing military man Bran will have more in common with Riss than Lord Bran.

"You'd be surprised at how many years it has been since I attended something like this. Not exactly my battlefield of choice."

She probably preferred some dusty frontier world, rugged, and maybe largely unexplored. Or something boring like a meditation chamber. Kat would let Riss answer herself when it came to her 'outfit'.

“We thank you, Gil Corren, we hope your evening is well. Please accept this minor token of our esteem for your honest words.”

She then offered Gil a cheek to cheek kiss on each side and then departed.

A servant followed sharply and offered him a Gold Rose, “Her grace, wishes for you to have this.”

He then departed quickly following the Queen and Queen’s Guard.

OOC: Gil gets a Gold Rose as per the event.

"Thank you your Majesty, I'm sure it will be splendid." He replied accepting and returnign the kisses as custom dictated before bowing as she left. The Rose was accepted with a bit of surprise but he tucked it away and offered a nod of thanks to the servant as they departed.

A glance to Kat, "Just thought I'd slip on by and say hey to my favorite badass Jedi. Don't wanna interrupt you both too much.. but I'm not against sticking around if I'm not," she says with a brief smile directed toward Kat.

"Captain of the Rimma Roundabout," a light shake, she lets her hand come back to her hip to rest there. A brief smile, "I'm a ship Captain so.. just a nice fancy title that tells folk I can go wherever I want whenever I want to," she adds with a smirk.

"So you're, ah, master of your own domain, then, your ship. Any higher loyalties or just, ahem, business?" Brannis clearly feels curiosity mixed with discomfort at engaging with Riss.

Tethys can't help but raise an eyebrow at this self-introduction. "Now, that's an interesting name. Did it come from your parents?"

"The... Ok. Sure," he says, kind of disbelieving the ship name but unwilling to ask more about it.

"So you're, ah, master of your own domain, then, your ship. Any higher loyalties or just, ahem, business?" Brannis clearly feels curiosity mixed with discomfort at engaging with Riss.

"Nothing too concrete.. Republic has me listed as a Privateer if that matters much to you. Do a lot of work with them, done a lotta work with them," she says, glancing around to find another drink but holds off for the moment in actually seeking one out.

"But, I'm still pretty freelance. My own boss and everything, it's nice."

"Well Miyi will not be wasted on a purely love connection," she responded.

"Pity, an Ulgo would be nice to have relations with."

"Well, perhaps we should have Xero look into his history or record to see if there's anything that would make it advantageous. I wouldn't disregard anyone at this event out of hand, but there is nothing obviously politically advantageous I saw from my chat," he says with a shrug.

"When ye're used t' livin life as fast as ah do, ye learn t' make the most of each moment. Ah can relate on meditaton though, Knight Carrack's taught me a few tricks. Fer a non-jedi ah think ah go alright, if ya wanna c'mpare notes."

"Something like that. Although really, that's what Assistant Professors are for..." He chuckled and sipped the wine. "Mostly I focus on research, but I do take on good students when they come along. And the galaxy has seen its share of danger lately, no? I assume you've been keeping busy patching up our troops?"

Omandri nodded in agreement "more than it's fair share I'd say."

He took another drink "as for the medic thing no I separated from the military about five years or so ago. Spent the time since then travelling visiting a lot of poor areas of developed worlds and a lot of underdeveloped ones in the outer rim giving medical aid to places that need it. Also learning about different cultures and such." He chuckled a little "been a busy few years truth told, honestly a lot busier and more rewarding than my military service."

"No, the name was chosen by me. My old life is no more," she said calmly.

"I think I'm going to have fun watching all the chases this year. Seeing the suitors hunting each other in a mad scramble." He smiles at that. "They're going to be going pretty hard I imagine."

"Never done any Jedi meditation stuff, but I never really met any either. Is that how you spend your free time?" she asked seeking clarity.

"Don' fin meself with much of late. There's been much to do on Bankor, stuff that don' make the holonet. Still manage t' play a little ball wi' the enlisted men, meh cardio's gettin better from some runnin t' keep in shape. An there's this republic engineer, names Jenkins, tryna teach me one end of a hydrospanner from th' other."

Garth shrugs and grins. "He's got is work cut out fer 'im. Truth be told ah could do with figurin' a new way t' unwind that don't come in a bottle."

"Hmm... When you say you don't know me, do you mean, as in personally... or you really don't know who I am?"

She took a gulp from her drink.

"He and I used to be in the same class, back on Korriban."

She laughs freely, "I know your reputation, and I know you were once Sith. But then I was once a follower of King Kun."

"Well, I don't know who that is. Anyway, Zeno's... well, let's say I *doubt* he's as reformed as I am. Former apprentice of Darth Zash who was supposedly going places in the Empire until he ended up here with his wife, the Duchess. Now here we are, civil instability on one of the most important planets in the Republic, and these Blackguard thugs having free reign. Do I think Zeno's solely responsible for this? No, he lacks the brains to have spent so many years masterminding a nefarious plot. But he's involved at least. He did train these blackguards, after all."

Geez these kids. She thought, How do you not know who... okay. She shook her head and listened. "I see... I hadn't heard that."

She took a good hard look at Xeno and Stupid Laugh. Sizing them both up. I might need to swallow my pride and approach him. HIM not her, and not tonight.

"Zash huh? A powerful Sith. I can only imagine the blood that will spill among her followers when she finally returns to the force." Breela knew better than most that the easiest way to cull the Sith was to kill one of the more powerful ones. They hated each other as much if not more than they hated the Jedi. "Thanks for telling me Knight Hoshin, I'll keep you apprised of any new information I find. It doesn't matter if you do the same..." She says with a resolute sadness that she drowns with her ale.
