Delmi had nodded farewell to Joran when he left and quietly stood on the outskirts with a drink in her hand.

This is… quite the cast. Shit’s gonna happen here the next couple of weeks…

Tethys can't help but raise an eyebrow at this self-introduction. "Now, that's an interesting name. Did it come from your parents?"

"No, the name was chosen by me. My old life is no more," she said calmly.

"That' is interesting. The other Alderaanians I meet, offworld or at home... all seem rooted in family history, very deeply. Even Jedi from Alderaan keep some parts of their old lives." Sometimes a bit more than Tethys personally considers wise, for that matter.

"I didn't expect to meet a sect of renunciants here, of all places. Does everyone in your cadre take a new name? Or are your circumstances unusual?" The questions are light, conversational, floating on a deep flow of calm.

"Don' fin meself with much of late. There's been much to do on Bankor, stuff that don' make the holonet. Still manage t' play a little ball wi' the enlisted men, meh cardio's gettin better from some runnin t' keep in shape. An there's this republic engineer, names Jenkins, tryna teach me one end of a hydrospanner from th' other."

Garth shrugs and grins. "He's got is work cut out fer 'im. Truth be told ah could do with figurin' a new way t' unwind that don't come in a bottle."

"Maybe take up some reading?" she said with a smile. "Or maybe thranta riding?"

“To be a Blackguard is to be without connection to one’s old life. We are no longer bound to our old families, we are bound by our fealty of service, in this case to House Thul. But we hearken to the Blackguards of old, those that held duty and service even beyond the death of their Lords to become terrors to their enemies in pursuit of justice,” she responded calmly.

"Maybe take up some reading?" she said with a smile. "Or maybe thranta riding?"

Garth nodded as he considered his opinions. "Well Sarge Panteer gave me a couple reading suggestions, ah might give that thranta riding a shot, if ah could find a decent teacher." He added with all the lack of subtlety he could muster.

"I can introduce you to Duchess Thul, she loves thranata riding and breeds them. Her and the Queen often go riding together. There is no better teacher," she offered.

"It's very different from flying a ship, which I have learned the hard way."

Gil for his part had tucked away the rose and returned to observing thr crowd, slowly sipping on his cider. It seemed a Pair of the Rist had found each other but nothing else seemed too far out of place for the moment. Just the type of politics that were fairly common on Alderaan.

Omandri nodded in agreement "more than it's fair share I'd say."

He took another drink "as for the medic thing no I separated from the military about five years or so ago. Spent the time since then travelling visiting a lot of poor areas of developed worlds and a lot of underdeveloped ones in the outer rim giving medical aid to places that need it. Also learning about different cultures and such." He chuckled a little "been a busy few years truth told, honestly a lot busier and more rewarding than my military service."

"Oh I see! Well, I'd be happy to share any cultural resources you might need. Privilege of access to all these University collections is that I can usually find information on quite obscure topics." He gave a friendly smile.

"Glad to hear you've found your calling by the sounds of it. I have enjoyed my travels through the Outer Rim. Could easily spend another lifetime out there." A slightly wistful glance was cast skyward.

Omandri smiled back "I know what you mean, so much out there, so much to know and discover. I learned a lot in many of the most unlikely of places." he let out a sigh that mirrored the wistfulness of Kellen's glance "You are certainly right one could live probably hundreds of lifetimes and probably not fully experience everything this galaxy has to show us. Not first hand anyway." he says with a smile.

"I would most definitely enjoy exchanging some knowledge, its been awhile since I've had another scholar to really talk things over with." he said taking a sip of his drink "We'll have to find time around the political dance that determines the fate of our planet."

[Layne Hoshin]

Geez these kids. She thought, How do you not know who... okay. She shook her head and listened. "I see... I hadn't heard that."

She took a good hard look at Xeno and Stupid Laugh. Sizing them both up. I might need to swallow my pride and approach him. HIM not her, and not tonight.

"Zash huh? A powerful Sith. I can only imagine the blood that will spill among her followers when she finally returns to the force." Breela knew better than most that the easiest way to cull the Sith was to kill one of the more powerful ones. They hated each other as much if not more than they hated the Jedi. "Thanks for telling me Knight Hoshin, I'll keep you apprised of any new information I find. It doesn't matter if you do the same..." She says with a resolute sadness that she drowns with her ale.

"Why would I not reciprocate?" She looked confused.

Although, according to some people Layne *did* have a habit of intentionally/unintentionally keeping things to herself. But even if she had, well... it'd never been personal at least.

She looks back startled, "Because I'm not an active Jedi at the moment. Sorry, I guess I'm just not hoping to be kept apprised since I'm working on my own initiative."

"Why would I not reciprocate?" She looked confused.

Although, according to some people Layne *did* have a habit of intentionally/unintentionally keeping things to herself. But even if she had, well... it'd never been personal at least.

She looks back startled, "Because I'm not an active Jedi at the moment. Sorry, I guess I'm just not hoping to be kept apprised since I'm working on my own initiative."

"I don't know your reasons for not being an active member of the order, but you don't strike me as having giving up on the ideals of the Jedi. Besides, if I can work with active Sith, then surely I can work with inactive Jedi."

She tilts her head strangely. I would stiff a Sith any day of the week... She initially thought, but upon further reflection she admitted. No I wouldn't.

Chuckling absently she sighed, "Either way, I appreciate it." She starts walking off, "If you need help with that feud, give me a call. I love a good fight!" She waved and turned towards the exit.

At the mention of Ziandra, Garth turns his eyes over in the direction of the Duke and Duchess and sees them shooting the occasional glance at himself and Miyi.

He offers them a polite wave before returning his attention to the young girl.

At the mention of Ziandra, Garth turns his eyes over in the direction of the Duke and Duchess and sees them shooting the occasional glance at himself and Miyi.

He offers them a polite wave before returning his attention to the young girl.

“I am not sure if it is, this is actually my first festival, I have been offworld serving. But it’s important to Princess Jameela, so I will be there as a friend. Oh yeah and Miss Beniko, she’s not what I expected of a Sith, she’s something else,” she offered.

“I know some people have a problem with her, I am not gonna judge. I lost friends to the Empire, so I get it but I know it’s war. I am sure there is an Imperial somewhere cursing my name or us in the general way you know?”

Garth nods his agreement. "Ah've seen good people turn bad and bad people turn good. Ain't judging anyone 100% on th' company they keep, but it does put a black mark 'gainst her name fer now, though ah'm open t' bein convinced she's turned over a new leaf."

He deposits his now empty glass on a server's tray.

"That's the hard part 'bout peace. The man who were in your crosshairs last month is now sittin' across the table from ye, and ye're supposed t' play nice? Glad that's above mah pay grade, not sure ah'd be strong enough t' handle it."

"Exactly, that's a tough place for anyone. But if we want to get to a point of peace we have to long term find a way to cope with that new reality," she suggested.

"But that's a process, not a destination. In my opinion."

"Really it was pretty tame as protests go. Panteer is Imperial, Republic is just the empire Ulgo is great blah blah. Just got a lil more heated with a bit of stuff bein' thrown. I thought it might break into a full on fight but the guard was pretty good at steppin' in quickly before anyone got seriously hurt."

Azura tried to not sound disappointed.

"Gotta give the princess a lil credit, she actually stood an' took most of it without her makeup runnin' from tears. Don't know if she'll learn to listen or not, she got a lot of repairs to do."

At the question on marriage, Azuras eyes widened and she shook her head.

"Me? Kriff no! Imagine me being a princess? I ain't that walk of life, I'll leave that to the Lyseils and Jameelas of the world. Ain't my style. Plus I kinda have my partner in business, we been together for five years and neither of us died yet so it's a positive. You here to marry then? Houses get together an' marry to get closer right."

Aly nodded, her interest peaking. "Oh? You don't say." Something to watch out for. She eyed Jameela. "So, you think she handled it well? Well, I guess it could have been worse."

She raised a hand, a ring shining on it. "Oh, already taken. Alas, won't be able to join in on the race." She titled her head. "Business partner or, business partner?"
