[Day 1 - EE] Suitor's Mixer RP Thread

Omandri smiled back "I know what you mean, so much out there, so much to know and discover. I learned a lot in many of the most unlikely of places." he let out a sigh that mirrored the wistfulness of Kellen's glance "You are certainly right one could live probably hundreds of lifetimes and probably not fully experience everything this galaxy has to show us. Not first hand anyway." he says with a smile.

"I would most definitely enjoy exchanging some knowledge, its been awhile since I've had another scholar to really talk things over with." he said taking a sip of his drink "We'll have to find time around the political dance that determines the fate of our planet."

"Marvellous! I'd be delighted. I'm rather keen to get out into the wilderness too if the opportunity presents itself. Still plenty I haven't seen here, or would like to see again." He smiled at the political dance comment.

"Yes, it can be rather a full dance card. Let's hope everything turns out for the best." At least they both knew what House Rist wanted. Also known as Omandri's sister.

But we hearken to the Blackguards of old, those that held duty and service even beyond the death of their Lords to become terrors to their enemies in pursuit of justice,” she responded calmly.

Tethys glances aside at Galen for a moment, tacitly including him in this exchange (and curious what he's making of it).

"So 'Blackguard' is an old title? I see." She nods slightly. "'Pursuit of justice...' hm. Then you serve two masters, Thul and justice?" Her lips quirk. "If justice and loyalty are the creed, then I have to ask. Why Villainess? Out of all the names in all the languages in the galaxy?"

She replied, "In the old tales they took on the names of villains or monsters, so we follow suit."

"We serve Thul, but we seek Justice, the two are not at odds."

"Hm. I wonder what reason those old figures had. People often live up to the names they choose. Or... down to them," Tethys observes.

"Which would you choose if Thul and Justice fell out of alignment? I've met many beings who think the Jedi serve two things at once, the Force and the Republic, but that isn't really true."

[Jocasta Teraan]

Jocasta walked away to have her glass refilled and give the Count a chance to charm the Princess. After the droid had topped off her Corellian Ale, Jocasta returned to scanning the room, observing who spoke with whom. It was a few moments later that she saw the Princess walk away from the Count only to be approached by the Sith delegate. She watched in concern as they seemed quite familiar with one another.

It seemed Prince Joran was equally concerned as he joined the two and the Sith left the them shortly after.

Watching the twins in a subdued quarrel, Jocasta decided it might be a good to time to introduce herself to Prince Joran after he finished with his sister. She ordered another Corellian Ale for the Prince and waited for him to be available so she could approach.

"Nothing too concrete.. Republic has me listed as a Privateer if that matters much to you. Do a lot of work with them, done a lotta work with them," she says, glancing around to find another drink but holds off for the moment in actually seeking one out.

"But, I'm still pretty freelance. My own boss and everything, it's nice."

"That's interesting," he says genuinely. "I mean, I'm glad you've been on the right side of things at least a good amount of the time." He smiles. "Though, uh, that's not exactly my honored cousin's style," he says, looking rather pointedly at Kat to see if continuing this is acceptable.

We are nothing without our charge to serve and protect, if Thul was gone when we truly be as the Blackguards of old, bereft of our Lady we would execute her last will until death takes us or we have achieved vengeance for Thul's destruction," she replied.

And yes she is strong in the Force.

Seeing Jameela take her leave and Joran head back into the fray, Jocasta made her way over. "Prince Joran, it seems you are empty handed and in need of a beverage. Lieutenant Jocasta Teraan of the ADF at your service." She offered the glass of ale to the Prince and raised her own to his.

And yes she is strong in the Force.

"I can't help but wonder." Galen spoke up. "Symbols with names such as that, how do those in opposition to your duty appear? Were there, traditionally, others like the Blackguard?"

"Thank you, Lt. Teraan," he said with a smile. "Enjoying the evening?"

"Thank you, Lt. Teraan," he said with a smile. "Enjoying the evening?"

"It's getting better." she said, taking drink of ale and maintaining eye contact with the Prince. "I had the chance to speak with Princess Jameela for a short time. She seemed a bit put out by the whole ordeal, but I can't blame her given the circumstances. It can be... overwhelming"

Jocasta cast her eyes across the room and settled on the Sith delegate who was speaking with one of the Ulgos, showing off her abilities in the Force by summoning a glass to her hand. "Although, some of the company here leaves something to be desired." She said, giving a meaningful look towards Lana.

He followed her glance and shrugged, "Yeah, but despite what I have heard of them she's been... peaceable."

"Just don't feel right on principle."

"I understand diplomacy, but I've lost too many troopers to Imperials to share a drink with one." Jocasta offered up her glass once more to the Prince. "To the fallen, we won't forget your sacrifice, nor will we forgive those who brought it about."

"Thul first, then. It's good to be clear about these things." Tethys spreads her hands palms up, a receptive sort of gesture. "I realize you are on duty, but you've piqued my curiosity about your organization and its history."

((If she's a sensitive, can Tethys get any feel for if she is more likely a Dark Side user, or a more neutral/Light presence in the Force? Over or under the DS morality threshold, in other words? I don't remember if that was a thing one can notice, or if it's only apparent when someone actually uses Force powers.))

He nodded and raised a glass to that and said, "To the fallen."

After a respectful silence she spoke up, "I apologize, I've brought down the mood. What kind of entertainment are you getting into with the rest of your evening?"
