[Day 5, ME] Is the Doctor In?

[Galen Sol]

He had hoped it would have faded. But, most of the day had passed and Galen's arm was still stiff and tingling. Jameela had insisted he get it looked at tonight.

Doctor Rist had been at the protests and he'd run into him and Garth in the gardens. Galen hadn't talked to him much, but he recalled him talking about military service. Considering the nature of the injury, that type of experience seemed particulsrly helpful.

It hadn't been too hard to track him down to his ship.

"Hello? Doctor?"

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri had just gotten back to his ship from the pleasure cruise but had yet to change out of his suit though he had removed the jacket. So he stood there at the top of the ramp when he opened the door with black pants and shoes with an emerald shirt top buttons undone. He gave Galen a slightly confused look but nodded to the man "Yes..uh..Galen was it? part of the Bankor liberation if I remember correctly." he said his confusion giving way to a small but friendly smile "What is it that I can do for you?"

He took off his jacket and rolled up his right sleeve to reveal burn marks.

"I ran into some trouble this morning." he explained, as he let the arm hang limp again. "Got electrocuted. My arm's been giving me problems all day. I was hoping you could take a look."

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri's eyes went slightly wide and then he shook his head with an amused look on his face "I don't know when I'll stop being surprised." he chuckled. "Yeah come on in man, this way." he said with a wave.

The walked through the ship which was mostly modern and clean looking chrome and grays though there were splashes of color with artifacts from his travels, masks and weapons on the walls a few things of hand crafted jewelry on display on the flat surfaces. They passed the common area and toward the two crew quarters that had been replaced by a medbay of sorts "Come on hop up on the table." he said his face with an easy smile "So how did this happen again you said? Electrocuted? that's not a common type of injury." he said ducking into some cabinets looking for something.

"It's a bit of a story." he said. "There's been a problem out in the wilds with monstrous, aggressive kath hounds. Several people have been killed in the past few months. I tracked them down and a got a group together to take care of them. We captured some yesterday. Had to kill a few."

"We went back today to investigate what had changed them. They were using an old hyperfuel plant as a lair. It had been abandoned for a long time, but the Empire began using it while they were here. The Republic bombed it, but never went back to clean it up."

"Anyway, when we were there this morning, we found a number of chemicals leaking into a nearby water source. In the basement, we found a machine of some sort was the source of many of the toxins. It was protected by what appeared to be Sith ghosts. One of them did this to me, by striking me with lightning. I shot the machine to blow it up."

Omandri nodded a small bag in his hand now as he set it down next to Galen "Yes i thought the wounds looked familiar, force lighting leaves very particular burn patters." he was more focused now as he examined the skin. He ran a number of tests on the arm while he talked picking it up tapping certain places with a small rubber hammer. "Yeah looks like some minor nerve damage and maybe some second degree burns. The burns will heal up well enough on their own, maybe just a antiinfection ointment to make sure they heal properly." he said in a more clinical manner than his usual way of speaking.

He straightened up "The nerve damage will need a little help along but luckily doesn't look too bad, might've worked itself out in the end but would have taken a while. I can give you a shot to stimulate nerve restoration. That an a good night's sleep should have you back to normal." he said smiling as he produced a syringe from the bag "So you said these kathhounds were exposed to hyperfuel chemicals and it altered their biology and psychology? very interesting." he said while he swabbed the injection site "alright one, two" omandri said and gently but firmly pushed the needle injecting the drugs into the affected arm. "There you go Mr. Sol. Now may I ask where you're keeping these hounds? They sound like a fascinating study. I'm a bit of a xenobiologist as well."

[Galen Sol]

"They were taken to Organa Sunflower University, along with samples we took of the contaminated water." he answered. "I'm planning to check on them in the morning. I'm hoping the destruction of the machine has helped with their aggressive behavior. We believe the spirits were influencing them."

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri nodded "Well I'm not sure how available i'll be in the morning, might need to arrange a trip out to the university myself sometime soon. Its been too long. ' he took off his gloves and disposed of them and the needle in the appropriate bin "Well that should have you feeling better by morning. I'll probably follow up but contact me if you have any side effects."

"Thank you, doctor. It feels much better already." He tested the arm's mobility. "If you need anything, please reach out."

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri nodded holding out a hand "You do the same Mr. Sol."

[Galen Sol]

""Just Galen, please." he shook the man's hand. "Have a good night, Doc."

With that, he departed.
