So, I've Got Some Crazy Bad Wild News [Day 8, LM]

[Dapper Dog]

Omamdri nodded to both Kat and Riss. He gave Riss a short hug as she leaned against him and made the call. Assuming Giandra answered as well Omandri kept his emotions in check taking Riss' words to heart "Sister, this is Riss Lanar a name you have already heard. She has something to tell you, if you have even a shred of trust for me listen to her. Please."

Giandra said, "I know the name Oma, Bryson spoke highly of her."

[Dapper Dog]

“Alderaan was hurting long before this. You waste my time with this? Niece? I have no time for this,” he cut the line.

Once offscreen he turned to his battle center, “Idiots, they don’t see that this is the future for Alderaan. Cunning man… nonsense. This is my destiny. Mobilize all forces. And FIND my daughter!” He said slamming his hand into the console.

[Screenwipe back Riss and the Others]


Giandra frowned and said, “I… this is complicated. But what… we… I… this is how it has to be. Don’t get involved Oma.”

Her line went dead.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"Wai---!" Kat tried to speak up before Bouris cut the line, unable to stop him.

Her fists clenched as she held her frustration in check. "Shit." Kat never said shit.

[Riss]

Inhaling deeply, releasing it with an exhale, Riss stands very still in the moment following the lines being cut. "We tried," she says, glancing down, "At least.. at least Giandra seems to.." she shakes her head and just falls silent again. Standing there without much idea what to do with her body at the moment. Still as could be.

"Wait.. what did you just say?" she says, snapping back to it and looking to Kat.

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri paused as both lines went dead "kriff!" He said punching the console in a very rare outburst "dammit why is everyone so kriffing stubborn!" He nearly growled.

His emotions were turmoil frustration over his sister, frustration over not being able to help, sadness and anger from learning about Bryson. He had tried to help but nothing changed it was still all going to shit.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"I said shit, ok? I got my once-a-year quota or something..." Kat was frustrated too, and blew some of her hair from her face with a puff of breath.

"... What do we do? Do you think it's going to happen soon, Riss?"

[Riss]

"Yea," she says, deflating a bit her hands slip from either of them as she stumbles back a couple steps. Not having much more energy to be angry right now she just steps backwards until she can slump down onto the couch again. Pulling her legs up into her, wrapping her arms around them. "They're both not taking visitors. Ulgo's got his men assembled.. and the chit suggested it was going to happen soon.. really soon."

Burying her face into to space between her knees she hides away from the room, "I- I don't know what else to do. I don't know where to go, where to be.. I'm... tired."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"I probably won't be able to get in either now, after this." And she was not the smuggler who was good at smuggling herself in.

"... We try to talk to the Panteers perhaps?"

[Riss]

"I did- at least to Joran. Gave him everything I've given you both," her words were muffled a bit from her face being buried against her knees. "He's gonna try and convince the queen that.. that this time it's not bogus, that there's something she needs to prepare for. I just- I hope it works. Kriff I hope it works."

[Omandri Rist]

After his outburst he takes a second trying to get the storm unders control. Deep breaths, centering calming thoughts. When he was under control he moved next to Riss and put an arm around her "Hey you've done all you can. We all have. And all we can do is continue to do everything we can to stop them." His voice was trying to be reassuring and confident "we know where they will strike and by the sounds of it I don't think they will wait long."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"Yula was at the peace summit earlier too... I believe she won't be working with the Duke." Kat said, placing faith in not the Force, but the people they knew.

"We have to have faith in people. And be prepared for the worst."

[Riss]

Feeling Omandri's arm around her she squeezes herself a bit tighter, more inward than she was prior. Faith in the people. Those words hit, tugging on something, she was sure to hide her face completely against her thighs, "He.. he was a good guy Kat. He was a good guy," she says, voice shaky.

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri took the arm from Riss seeing the way she tightened back he put it on the back of the couch. He was giving her space but was there is she needed it. "He was a loyal man, he did what he thought was best. He was a friend." Omandri said quietly

[Riss]

With a gentle lean she let herself fall to the side slightly, resting against Omandri, and just keeping quiet for the moment.

Kat didn't say anything, her attention turned to where the holos of Giandra and Bouris had been just moments ago.

She hadn't wanted to think this could happen. After having spoken to Brannis, she had hoped maybe something would've stopped it from happening. that somehow... it hadn't been what she had thought it would be.

No... she still needed to have faith in people. Not become the tyrant some people wanted her and the Jedi to be. "I wish master Syo was here..." she said softly, with a heavy sigh. "He would've known what to do."
