[Omandri Rist]

Omandri was feeling a bit more human after a good night's rest. He wasn't perfect, emotionally still reeling a little but thinking clearer. Physically still in pain but not relying on pain killers to deal with it any more.

He woke up in his room at the Rist Estates and got ready to leave to check on a friend he knew had been going through just as much, if not more. He looked at more appropriate dress for his new position but shook his head opting for his more comfortable plain clothing.

He walked through the spaceport towards Riss' ship finding the Rimma he buzzed the comms to see if the Captain had woken up yet.

[Riss]

One minute, two. No answer. If he waited a while longer, buzzed again, still no answer. It'd take a while but before he gave up he'd feel a sudden soft jab in the side, and then an arm wrapping around his waist as Riss steps up beside him. "Weren't waiting too long I hope? Fell asleep over on my brothers ship," she says with a lightness to her, sleep had done her quite a bit of good. Jacket was swung over one of her shoulders.

He had begun to get a little worried but wasn't freaking out or anything just a mild concern. He had been about to pull out his communicator when he felt the arm around his waist and heard the familiar voice come up from behind him.

He reflexively put his arm around her shoulders as best he could in a half hug "Not too long I suppose." He looked a little relieved, glad she had someone with her last night.

"A good night's sleep seems to have helped a bit eh?" He asked as he turned toward her a bit.

[Riss]

Giving a squeeze in return with the half-hug, she'd take his turn toward her and shift it against him a bit. Turning him, them, instead toward the panel from which she could get entry into her ship. Keying in what needed to be keyed in as she answers, "Usually how it goes with me. Easier to bury things down when they're not as fresh, mm?" she suggests, there's a humor to her tone but truth to her words which seems almost in conflict with itself.

Door sliding open with that telltale sound she nodded inward if he wanted to lead the way, he knew the ship well enough to decide which part they were heading to at least, "Came by to check on me?"

Omandri just nodded to the first, he had some thoughts on it but a deep psychological analysis wasn't what Riss needed right now. Right now he wasn't a doctor, he was here to be a friend.

As the ship opened up he walked on board into the main area of the ship "Well, I came to the spaceport to pick up my ship and relocate it to Rist holdings." he said smiling down to her at his side "But yes I did come here to check on you. Ya know even for an adventurous pair like us its not everyday you help stop a coup." he says with a small chuckle.

Giving the interior a once over and a low whistle "Wheeew brings back memories being here again." he says with a small smile. He had spent long enough on this ship to remember just about where everything was.

[Riss]

"Kriff.. yea, I went to your ship that last time didn't I? Huh," she says, leaning off him a moment to tidy something up real quick off a nearby stool. However, she moves over toward the couch and clears enough space for the both of them from the blankets, pillows, and bowl or two she still had out from way back when Aurilie was over.

"Thanks by the way, for checking in," she says, before settling herself onto the couch itself.

"Indeed you did." Omandri watched her hastily clean up just with a look of amusement. Yeah, not much had changed since he had last been here.

He settled down next to her on the couch both arms up along the back. He shrugged "Of course, gotta make sure my favorite privateer is doing ok." He said with a grin to her and then sighed "its been one hell of week. Kriffing Alderaan man." He shook his head the grin gaining a bit of wryness to it.

"So what's next for you Riss? I know when I talked to Bo, oh yeah met Bo at the pleasure cruise don't think I ever mentioned that, stopped him and that Deathwroght from stealing a spaceship. He said you were working on getting Lanar reinstated as a noble house?"

[Riss]

"Bo was on this whole.. House Lanar is back thing for a while but at the time it wasn't real," she says, taking all the afforded opportunity to lay herself against him. "Just me and him. Both of us middle children? All seemed.." she raises her hand and twirls it around, "way outta reach, and at the time? I didn't want anything to do with it.. not really."

"But.." her voice changes tone, it falters and settles somewhere low in the heart, pained slifhtly, "something Bryson said to me about House Lanar. He actually suggested it.. gave me direction. Said that House Lanar deserved to be back," she pauses.

A breath.

"But I looked into it and yea- yea it's real. Think.. as of this morning? Have to check to be sure but you're looking at a Countess now," she says, there's a light smile which is still a bit dim.

as she lays against him his arm comes around to hold her a bit as Omandri shifts and kisses the top of her head gently "Yeah, he was, a good man. Did what he thought was right." he spoke softly the sound muffled a bit by her hair.

He leaned back a little a small look of surprise on his face "Well that's an interesting coincidence cause you're looking at a Duke right now." he said with a small chuckle "Since my sister, you know, basically committed treason, I was asked to step up as the head of the family now. Somehow Giandra managed to avoid prison so she'll be around running our intelligence program but yeah, I'll be running the House as a whole effective yesterday evening." he shook his head a little "Wow. That's wild, like actually wild. Who would have guessed the black sheep of a family and a secret member of a exiled house would both end up as heads of their houses in just over a week. This galaxy is crazy sometimes."

[Riss]

"Yea.. lotta wild things," she says, voice lower and more defeated, drifting. Resting her head against his chest she brings a hand up near her face and starts brushing along his midsection just in front of herself with a finger. Remaining quiet for a second, two, ten. Eventually though she spoke up again, "I'm glad Giandra's okay. Maybe the warning got her to.. do something different, enough that she managed to get her way out of it," she shrugs, he can feel it more than see it perhaps.

"Duke Omandri Rist though.. helluva name. Looks like I won't have to worry too much about making friends with the Head of House Rist now. Helps knock that off my to-do list," she chuckles softly, but the remnants of the earlier killed mood linger a bit.

"Yeah, I think the warning was her hint that things weren't going as well as she would have liked. That Ulgo had a chance of failing. Giandra is a survivor if nothing else." He said after the pause

At the name stuff he just grinned down at her "You're one to talk Countess Riss Lanar." He said with a little chuckle "but you're right, you'll always have a friend in me. I'll always be there for you Riss." He said sincerely.

He thought for a moment "House Lanar....you all were a vassal house of Thul before right? My knowledge of the other Houses was always" He wobbled his hand "shaky at best."

[Riss]

"We were. Father was for years.. never much liked them I think, but maybe he was just an ambitious bastard who wanted more," she shrugs, looking around the room a bit. A soft sigh, "I miss him," she admits, and then stirs. Putting a hand on his chest she pushes herself up and turns around to face him instead. Resting back down on his chest at first but sliding down into his lap as she goes on, "I think we're in a good place. Now.. maybe. Lanar is back on the map.. something I can build. Rist in your hands. Ulgo in Yulastranza's. Other houses with their own agenda.. but I think I've made a good enough impression on a few?" she says, chuckling softly, a shake of her head.

"I think we can fix all those past mistakes, if we try."

As she settled into his lap an arm would come around her to hold her. He smiled softly as she spoke about the future, about hope. he nodded "I think we can to. Maybe we should meet with Yulastranza. The brand new heads of house in a week, we could get on the same page. House Ulgo and Rist have been allies for a long time. If we all agree on a vision for what we want to do perhaps Lanar could be added to the alliance. The eventual goal is a unfied Alderaan but I think that will take some time, House Ulgo and Rist need to do damage control on their reputation, House Lanar needs to build itself back up. We can all be there for eachother help pick up the pieces while we have the time to." He said with a hopeful tone.

He ran his hand over her side a bit, memories springing forth unbidden to his mind of similar situations, another time "So this may be premature, but do you know what House Lanar will stand for? What your mission with it will be?"

[Riss]

"Whatever I stand for, I suppose," she suggests with a lighter, if still partially distracted touch of a smile. "Until.. I make something of it all, Lanar is still just.. well, as of last night? Me and Bo. Whoever else too that's still around on the lands my father had.." she puts a finger on his chest and flicks against his shirt as if putting something down field.

"Right now.. like what you're suggesting? Got plans to make a few friends if I can. Have a plan to go meet with Yulastranza later. More.." she shakes her head a little. "More because I need to say some things to her. After everything that happened. Things she deserves to know, and.. kriff, things I just need to say."

[Omandri Rist]

He nodded at her explanation "like I said it was premature to ask just didn't know if you had a game plan already for that sort of stuff. You have time though." He sighed a little "I have the unenviable task of telling a bunch of assassins we don't do assassinations any more. Probably have to watch my back after that for a bit."

Omandri looked down at her at the mention of things she needed to tell Yula. He had a bit of an eyebrow raise "Oh? What kind of stuff is that? If you don't mind me asking."
