[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella pursed her lips. "Regardless, I hope whatever ill intentions they hold will not interfere with the festivities. Then again, I imagine that such foul faults of character would mean they possess no respect for civility." She straightened up. "Though I'm sure you have others at your disposal, know that I will do my part if called upon!"

She raised and clenched her fist as part of her random speech. "Even if my House was under trying times, it would be our duty to support the Republic!"

After a few moments, she reeled herself back in. "Although, I suppose you're right. Sometimes people must care for themselves. But I suspect that some not only withdraw their support but are actively undermining the Republic."

[Niall Organa]

Niall nodded evenly. "That's very good of you. Thank you." He said, smiling. She and the Hutt seemed to be cut from the same cloth. Well, on one level, anyway.

He nodded again. "Quite right. There are those who seek to benefit themselves... or, more charitably, to save themselves, without considering what it might mean for Alderaan, or the Republic. Then there are those for whom harming Alderaan or the Republic is the point.

He smiled without humor. "From the outside, they can look rather alike, unfortunately. But the distinction is an important one."

[Cynella Andrim]

Her similarities with the Hutt's strange sense of nobility was likely why she felt a bond with him. "As you said, I do whatever I can for the Republic. Though I admit, helping out someone as legendary as yourself is a great perk."

Cynella tapped her lips. "Yes. I've been acquainted with some of the political situation of this planet. However, I would very much appreciate your perspective on matters. Which houses are of, say, the latter category that you speak of?"

[Niall Organa]

Niall pursed his lips. "I cannot speak with any certainty. In fact, it's probably not prudent for me to be voicing any such specific insinuations."

He looked at her. "As an Organa, though, I often find myself at odds with the Thuls. It's an old enmity, going back quite some time." He let that hang there.

[Cynella Andrim]

"Ah, I suppose it is prudent to not speak too ill of others in your position. I too wouldn't want to mislead you about the politics of the Ten of Kuat."

She clicked her tongue. "House Thul keeps coming in conversation, don't they? They associate themselves with vile characters. Of course it's sensible to treat them with wariness, at best."

[Niall Organa]

"Indeed." Niall gave her a significant look.

After a few moments, he smiled. "Would you tell me more about your family? Especially if the two of us are to be friends."

[Cynella Andrim]

Friends. Cynella definitely flushed at that.

"My family? Oh, well, I have three siblings. Between us, my mother had her hands full and abdicated much of her responsibility in the family business. Not all of it, though, by the stars, no... she'd never," Cynella said with a wide smile. "I suppose she didn't want to leave it all to a babysitter or nanny or some other alternative. Apparently uncommon on Kuat, though I wonder how the Alderaanian nobility handles such things."

[Niall Organa]

"Mixed." Niall said, smiling. "Both of my parents were involved in raising me and my my siblings. But nannies certainly are a thing in Alderaanian households. And there were many times in my youth that I was looked after by my father's butler." Niall chuckled softly, still smiling.

He shook his head, shaking off the nostalgia. "Tell me a little bit more about yourself, then, if you would. Your education, perhaps."

[Cynella Andrim]

"I hope, when the time comes, that I will be there for my children. I have a few friends who are still sour about their parents being absent," Cynella said with a soft sigh. "But we all press on, don't we?"

She laughed, a bit awkwardly. "What's there to say? I graduated with a degree in communications and then went straight into my House's company. I have a card, if you so desire." She reached into her jacket and pulled it out. There, along with contact info, was her lovely job title: Vice President of Crew Comforts.

"Thank you." Niall said, accepting it. "Actually, why don't I go ahead and give you my comm code? Please, let me know if there's anything I can do for you."

As he brought out his commcaller, he frowned curiously. "Crew comforts. Oh, you really do make the seats more comfortable? Is that what that means?"

[Cynella Andrim]

"Well, I'm sure we'll be seeing each other more in the near future. I hope you'll keep me in mind in case you need a helping hand with, ah, delicate matters involving certain Houses." A slight smile. "Perhaps an outsider will have a voice that a local could not."

She covered her lips as she laughed. "Yes, quite. That and other amenities onboard. Far less glorious than Captain of an elite unit... or Major!"

Niall's eyebrows went up. "Perhaps she would." He said mildly.

He smiled at her laugh. "Well, there have been times that I wouldn't have minded a bit more attention to that sort of thing. Republic ships are reasonably comfortable, at least. But my unit is full of Mandalorians. Do you have any idea what they think is comfortable?" He shook his head. "I still haven't gotten used to some of it."

Never much of the spying sort, Cynella didn't even think of what else she could do. She'd meant more of a 'guns blazing' approach, but that was left unsaid. Captain Alderaan surely had better plans for her.

"Ah, I could harbor a guess." She put her hands on her hip and puffed out her chest. "I only sit on the hardest of seats so my ass doesn't get soft!"

Well. That got a real laugh out of Niall. He shook his head, brushing one hand across his face as he laughed. "Oh. Oh yes. Very much like that, actually."

He grinned at her. "Miss Rhia, I must compliment you on your excellent gift for impersonation. Ah..." He sighed. "I hope you don't mind if I use that one, next time I'm with my unit."

Cynella beamed; she'd gotten the great Captain Alderaan to like one of her jokes! Surely something to be saved to the memory banks, droid or not. "I don't own the copyright to jokes so please, go ahead. Andrim ships, though, that's another story," she said with a wink.

Then, her expression turned a bit more serious. "I don't think the composition of chairs affects muscle growth... hm."

"If you come up with a chair that can, uh, do that," Niall smiled at her, "-please let me know."

He sighed. "Well. I should be returning. Please do let me know if you require any assistance, Miss Rhia. You do have my commcode now, after all."

[Cynella Andrim]

Although Cynella wasn't a frequenter of risque websites, she had seen photos of "Alderaan's Ass" posted on the HoloNet. She'd been suitably impressed then, from a purely aesthetic point of view. "That's more of a thing for R&D. However, I'll be sure to suggest it," she said, though she didn't think such a thing would even be possible.

Cynella nodded. "Right! I'll arrange for you to receive some specifications on Kuati ships. Perhaps that will be the point of discussion in our next meeting. That or perhaps I'll need to ask for your advice in courting one of your noble peers."

"I see no reason we can't do both." Niall said.

Smiling, he bowed to her, in the Alderaanian style. "Untill we meet again, then, Miss Rhia?"

[Cynella Andrim]

"At this rate, we might even have to plan out a whole itinerary!" She clasped her hands together. "How wonderful. Yes, until then, C-Major Organa," she said, doing her best to imitate the Alderaanian style of bowing.

With one last smile, Niall turned and walked away, his cape swirling semi-dramatically as he went.
