Busy Days, Busy Life [Day 3, LE, Rimma]

[Riss]

"Well.. yea, he's.. think settled down bad-boy? Looks, feels, like someone who's lived a life. That's kinda his vibe. Even has a tattoo from back then, it's real nice," she says with a slightly lopsided smile. Bringing a finger up to trace along some part of her neck and direct toward her back where Bryson's tattoo was.

"Also, I don't tend to actually sleep with people just to get things," she says, walking over and poking Kat's nose before she takes up her shirt, "I.. just happen to want to sleep with them enough sometimes both things work out," she chuckles, awkwardly.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"Hey, I'm not judging. Well, not too much, anyway." Kat said as she held up her hands in mock surrender in response to the nose-poke. "Just don't end up being the one exploited here, Riss. I'm just concerned for you."

[Riss]

"You're starting to see ghosts everywhere Kat," she chuckles.

"I.. don't see a better alternative anyway, right?" she says, a half smile as she walks back over toward the mirror and dressed. Giving herself a good look over for her fit. Seemingly pleased with it she half turns back, "I mean, really, how much could I lose from just making a hand-off right? What's the worst that could happen?" she chuckles warmly, shaking her head.

"Depends on what the hand-off is. You could be held responsible for the contents." That did make her curious though. "What are you handing off to the Panteers anyway, since you needed it to be prince Joran specifically?"

[Riss]

"Information," she says, double checking her whole outfit once more before giving herself a satisfied nod in the mirror. Turning she walks over to Kat and sits beside her. Half turned toward her as she sits a knee rests against Kat's side. "About a plot against the royal family. Bryson Rist gave it to me, and.. he didn't trust that anyone else would act on it as it should be acted on," she says, a brief smile.

"Most folk would see a Rist implicating a bunch of Thul's and might not think it's a real threat. So, he had me do it so it's more.. seriously taken," she says with a half-smile which had its own inner brightness. Hands reaching out for Kat's, "I.. think I did a good thing? Like.. actually?" she seems to search Kat for that answer she wants.

Kat took a deep breath as she listened to Riss. "That's... pretty intense stuff. I hope it's good information, at least. We saw what happened earlier today after all." She'd have to look into that tomorrow, when tempers had cooled a bit.

"But yes. I think you've done good, Riss. Your actions might help prevent more violence in the future, and we both know that's not what Alderaan needs right now. People deserve some peace and stability after all that's happened."

[Riss]

Riss smiles brightly on that, taking Kat into a big hug she wraps her arms under Kat's and squeezes her torso tight. A warm ten second or so before she says, "Yea," and leans back, looking to Kat with that warn, bright smile. "I mean.. half the reason I'm back is cause things were tense here, mm? It's.. not been home for a long time, not in that way, but it still matters to me, ya know?" she says, that smile renewing on the point.

One of Kat's arms move around Riss, underneath her arm so that she can hold her tight in return to give her a good hug. Her hand strokes Riss' back a few times, and finishes with a good couple of pats as she too leans back, loosening up the embrace.

"And I'm glad you're here. You do make these stuffy events a bit more entertaining. There's a lot of stuff that needs to be done, but... well let's say I've taken some lessons from you, and I'm going to try to have a good time too during the festival."

[Riss]

"Gotta enjoy the moments you can," she says with that confident reassurance of that fact. Bringing a hand to rest against Kat's cheek she smiles, and nods, "I'm glad you're starting to figure out how to do both a little. Or.. at least trying to," she chuckles, shaking her head a little.

"I'm even helping out this.. Organa guy, the guy you talked about before? The one we were going to go back up when things went crazy earlier. There's this kid, well I'm helping the kid more, but this kid who's got an Organa signet ring," she says, her hand comes down from Kat's cheek almost like it had been forgotten there. Leaning one arm onto the couch so she can comfortably face Kat. "Turns out he's an Organa, but some.. brat of another kid was all too busy kicking him on the ground. Bastard that he was," she glances away a moment as she offers some unspoken swear, it would seem.

"Anyway.. things are.. exciting around here," she chuckles, shaking her head.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"I'm trying. Some people make it feel worthwhile giving it a try..." she didn't say who. And was fine leaving it at that to hear what Riss had been up to. The hand on her cheek got a questioning look, seeing where she was going with it, then focused back to Riss. And the hand went down.

Settling in properly, she thought for a moment. "Niall Organa?" Had she mentioned him or other Organas? She was unsure for a moment. "Sounds like quite the family drama... in-fighting among the Organas? Over what?"

[Riss]

That comment got a raise of Riss' brow but she didn't hop on it immediately. Like most things it was better to let it stew for a bit. Slipping almost seamlessly from the thought back into her conversation she started, "Not sure if you were here long enough to see some of our peers turn into the type that'll kick down at anyone they see as lesser, but one of those," she gave a flippant wave of her hand.

"Brat didn't like him cause he was claiming to be an Organa, but given the other Kriff he was saying it was pretty clear he mostly didn't like that he was doing it cause the kid was a Twi'lek. Gave the good kid room on my ship for a bit, didn't want him sleeping in the cold or anything like that, but.." she blows out some air. "Yea."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"Hmmm..." Kat frowned, though this time it was at least not a frown because of anything Riss had done. "I see. Sadly, there are people, nobles and not, who think that for some reason or another they have the right to kick down like that. I'm glad you were there to help this kid at least. You seem them all over the galaxy, sadly." And scum tended to float to the top, she thought bitterly.

"An Organa twi'lek is unusual, but not unheard of. Adoptions and married-in folks happen, after all. Gosh, I really don't like these comments about aliens I've heard the past days now. Like that guy at the protest yesterday who was like darn aliens takin' urr jerbs. Ugh. Who the kriff has been feeding them these stupid talking points and ideas? It's not even remotely true!"

[Riss]

"Someone who deserves a good ol' Jedi punch to the face," she gives Kat a nudge with her elbow. "Hmm, mm?" and chuckles, "That's in the Jedi purview.. right? Correcting these miserable fools of their miserable ideas with a few twisted arms and bruised cheeks and ego's."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"Violence is not the answer, Riss. You rarely can make lasting changes that way... if the Jedi just went around beating people up because of things like that, we'd just become tyrants like the Sith. Our intentions might've started good - to end things like xenophobia and intolerance, but it's a slippery slope." Kat was quite serious as she spoke, even if she felt that Riss probably knew better.

"Things would've ended quite differently today if I had used my lightsaber against them, rather than just for defense or disarming them." She sighed and slumped further down in her seat. "I really wish people could be more sensible. More... able to use that brain they're supposed to have."

[Riss]

Riss sits with her a moment in silence. Ten seconds, maybe a few more to make sure she's said her piece and then she scoots closer so they were more shoulder to shoulder. A lean easily turned into a nudge against Kat's shoulder, a little pep up, "Hey. Things went okay earlier, right? Whole lot of us drawing weapons and only Joran got a little bruised. Omandri.." she whistles, "gave a lot of them little naps. Shame he.." she shakes her head.

"Anyway, what I'm trying to point out is that a lot of us did think with our better heads today and folk went to jail instead of a hospital or worse. I even turned on my stun, did you know that blaster had the setting? I didn't," she says in a humored tone, laughing warmly with a shake of her head. "But.. sometimes bullies don't stop. Its why I have my blaster in the first place cause, you know me, I talk myself out of as much trouble as I talk myself into. Sometimes though.. sometimes talking ain't enough, and that's where the blaster comes in."

"I know that all too well, Riss. I carry one of the deadliest weapons a person can wield." Kat still remained serious, her blue eyes looking straight at Riss. Or though her. It often felt like that when she was being serious.

"But if we had responded with equal violence to them, instead of using non-lethal force, things would have been even worse. We'd then hear tomorrow of the tyranny of Panteer cracking down on protesters, or of a Jedi being the enforcer of the wicked Republic. Stuff like that." She shifted in her seat, and her hands sought Riss', giving them both a firm squeeze. "... Let's talk about something else, alright? I don't feel like dwelling on today. Not now, at least."

[Riss]

"I'm not suggesting we should have done anything different today, we got the same ideas huh?" she says with a smile, giving Kat a squeeze back as their hands are linked. Releasing one of her hands from the hold she brings it up and brushes some hair along Kat's forehead, "Silly girl getting all stressed about having done the right thing," she teases with a light chuckle. Bringing her hand down to cup her cheek affectionately, "So yea, let's take a change of subjects. Don't wanna leave you all tense after all," she says with a smirk.

"So how about you tell me about Gaul," she gives a gentle brush with a thumb across the cheek. Letting her hand drop, "Since we've talked plenty about who I've got my eyes on," she says with a warm, almost teasing smile.

Kat wanted to argue that she wasn't getting stressed out. That she was just trying to stress the importance of doing the right thing always, and the expectations... ok, maybe she was stressing out. Kriff me.

Riss could feel Kat's hands by her wrist when she was cupping her chin, only gently touching against it rather than holding onto it. "... He's a lot like you actually." She managed to say after a while of silence, trying to figure out her words. "Don't know of that's good or bad," she added with a teasing low laugh.

"He's... damn, he's handsome. And I think he's nicer, than he wants people to know."

[Riss]

"Somebodieees smitten," she teases with a higher pitch to her voice, a scrunch of her nose which she shakes a little. Bringing up a knuckle to tap Kat's chin. "Teasing," she smirks. "But I do think it's cute that your first thought on it is that he's a lot like me," she laughs, laying her hand down near Kat's waist but on the bed.

"And he is, whole damn family is," she chuckles, shaking her head. "I went to him, by the way.. actually just got out of there before I got you to come by."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"It's not often I meet other people like you. Seemed the most efficient way of describing it rather than go into detail," Kat retorted with a slight smirk.

"But... yeah, maybe I'm a bit smitten. Which surprises me. I used to admire him, from a distance... and I thought my cousin was lucky to marry someone like that. Then I was disappointed, and hurt on her behalf. Now I'm... well, I don't hold it against him anymore. And I want to know him better." And then she was quick to add; "not nescessarily in that way! I meant as a person!"

She gave Riss a curious look, tilting her head slightly to the side. "Did you see him about the... thing, you had to give to Joran?"
