Getting some Noods [D7, EA]

[Riss]

"Give you a call as it's set up, mm? Or not," she chuckles briefly, shaking her head. "How late you gonna be up.. probably won't be heading out there till well, later. Leaving sometime past the evening to give myself a bit of time to.." she doesn't finish the statement, just smiles with her telltale smile and looks to Kat for the answer.

"I was thinking when he's aboard and you're headed back here. You know me, I'm usually early to bed and early to rise, but I'll wake up earlier for this. To meet you here at the spaceport." She sighed a bit, the tell-tale sign of her shoulders rising and sinking. "I trust in your ability to convince him."

A small smile graced her features. "... These noodles are pretty good. Especially the broth."

[Riss]

Riss nods, eyes flitting down to the smile as it forms she chuckles. "Riiiiight? They're probably waaayyyy not good for you but kriff me they taste damn near diving," she chuckles warmly, glancing down the counter and almost considering another bowl. Though she relents the thought and just grabs the water, taking a drink before turning back fully to Kat. Leaning her elbow up against the counter she rests her head in the palm of her hand, "So.. how've things been with you Kat? Spent the last.. while talking about my wild sexy crazy life but most I know is what you're doing for your day job."

Reaching out with her foot she pushes the tip of her shoes against Kat's leg, "Tell me all the juicy gooshy details. How're things with Gaul? Bed him yet?"

A small cough is the first response, as Kat should probably get used to such questions from Riss by now. Some things just never chance.

"No," she said at first, smiling a bit wryly as she picked up her own glass for a drink of water. "... I'm someone who needs more time for that. Get to know them better first. And... well, as you've said before, I'm bad at turning off being on the job, so to speak. So I kind of messed up that date on the cruise - ended up talking about all the serious stuff instead."

She sighed and put the glass down, groaning a bit as she almost hanged her head in embrassement. "I'm such a disaster too."

[Riss]

"Not nearly as much as me though," she teases with a scrunch of her nose. Reaching out with her foot to nudge her leg a couple times. "Can get to know someone nice and quick once you take their clothes off. Things just spill outta folk after. But.. yea, that's something we gotta work on with you, mm? Get you to relax a little. Gotta remember that yea, there's a time and place for the important stuff but.. need to be able to shut it out when you've got time to just relax."

"Or- hear me out, we get you laid," she suggests, eyes bright and smile wide.

She snorted a laugh, and felt grateful there was no food or drink in her mouth now. "You never change, Riss."

I really am the worst vacationer...

"I'll... try again. After some things have settled, yes. Nothing says mood-killer like impending civil war. At least for me." With a smile she picked out the remaining pieces in her bowl to consume.

Riss beams with her smile at the assertion, taking a drink of her water to finish it off and set it aside. "You are.. different than folk I tend to run with Kat," she smiles, a scrunch of her nose with that little teasing shake, "but that's not a bad thing. See, lotta folk? They'd get that urgency to it mm? Never know what's gonna hit tomorrow so you might as well live now, right? Least, that's usually my vibe," she says with a softer laugh as she shifts off of her seat.

Walking over near Kat's she stands, hands hooked onto her hip. "Wanna walk with me to the Thranta race or you gotta be somewhere quick before it?" she asks with a slight raise of her brow. "Would give me more time to prod information outta yooou," she adds with that tease to her tone.

Kat raised an eyebrow, and finished the last contents of her bowl quietly, reaching for her glass of water to finish it all off. "Urgencies like these are different for me," she remarked, neatly placing the used chopsticks on her used napkin to consolidate the trash.

"I'd rather wait for the great relief of success afterwards. That confirmation to be alive." At least she figured Riss would relate to that one.

Tossing a few credits into the tip-jar, Kat slid off the seat as well, adjusing her clothes and brushing against the lightsaber on her hip. A reminder of it being there still, and her duties left to do still.

"Nah, let's walk together over there. Let's just hope we don't lose our lunch when the ride gets too insane, hm?" she grinned a bit, beginning their walk at a relaxed pace as they had time. "What more are you hoping to prod out of me, hmmm?"

"Everything- but before that," she glances to Kat with a devious looking smirk. As they start to walk Riss puts herself on Kat's arm, resting her head on the other woman's shoulder as they manage to move along. "I can agree that great relief of success after a good fight or argument or something? Adrenaline still pumping? A bit sweaty, maybe exhausted underneath but that surge of adrenaline still got you going, mm? For someone like you it's probably actually after a fight with your light-stick. Me? Usually after a shouting match, but-" she puts her free hand to her mouth and makes a long pleased sound- "sublime."
