Alderaan - Love and Intrigue

Everything was in place. Team Rist had assembled. There were some criminals to find and a relic to locate. Hopefully the first would lead to the second.

Kellen was dressed in his fancy jacket and dmart clothes. He was wearing Sap gloves although it would be hard to tell. Calmly he sipped a kaff and waited for trouble.

Omandri sat next to his cousin dressed in his own well tailored jacket. The only weapon he seemed to carry was a small Blaster pistol but he doubted he would even use it.

"You know that stuffs horrible for you, should really look into alternative energy supplements." Omandri said as he watched his cousin sip his kaff with a small smile.

"Without Kaff I would of died years ago, makes it seem pretty healthy to me." Gil replied as he sipped from his own cup. He was dressed for battle himself, stunbaton, blasters, and a few other odds and ends.

People come in and out of there at a good pace. It’s pretty busy with travelers as they continue their stakeout.

Gil might notice something off, but he probably didn't entirely avoid notice either. Dressed as a guard he may just stick out...

Kellen chuckled at Omandri and Gil as they discussed the relative benefits of kaff. Watching the Cafe he saw everything. Perhaps he also felt a little trepidation, as if something wasn't quite right?

Oamndri was likely busy talking to Gil about health advice the man did not care about and in fact the doctors droning voice maybe even help the others focus on their task of keeping an eye on things.

He was the one to see her, she let out some smoke and then let out a puff before she stepped on the dying cig smoothly with her hydro-stilettoes. Her purse under her arm as she gave him a faint whisper of a smile, or maybe she didn’t see him and just looked in that direction.

It’s unclear but his mind is pulled away from that due to the explosion of the café, a fireball that filled with the area with debris and smoke. By the time he looked back up she was gone and a transport was airborne.

The others saw the explosion and had enough time to take cover, Except Omandri, but thankfully he was covered by a wall and his injuries were not that all severe.

OOC: Omandri Suffered 3 wounds.

Well that was unexpected.

"Everyone okay?" He looked at Omandri and Gil then back at the smoking ruin. He called up Bryson. "Any last transmissions? The whole place just went up!"

The explosion had thrown him landing awkward on his arm. Omandri sat up with a slightly grimace "nothing that can't be dealt with pretty easily. What the kriff happened?" He said standing and dusting himself off."

Bryson came back, "The connection went offline, did something go wrong?"

"Well you could say that. Unless cafes exploding became a normal thing in the last six years." Omandri said gently feeling the tender spot on his shoulder.

"Explosion? Did I hear that correctly? Repeat, was that explosion you said?" Bryson came back.

"Correct. The Cafe just blew up in front of us." He looked at the others. "Did anyone get a clear view?"

"I saw a woman in red leaving right before the explosion. Might not mean much, but she was leaving the Cafe and didn't stay around to watch." Gil replied as he dusted himself off.

"Is anyone hurt?" Bryson came back.

"I think we ate all okay." He threw a questioning eyebrow at the others then looked at the ruins of the Cafe. "It doesn't look good for anyone who was in the Cafe though."

Bryson said, "Well kriff, excuse my Huttese, but this is going sideways quickly. If you are good maybe time to beat feet. Rist near an explosion tends to... uh well you know."

"Ah. Yes a very good point Bryson." He looked at the others. "Time to make haste and let the authorities deal with this mess. Maybe we can do a holo-fit of the person you saw Gil?"

"Could try." Gil replied as he took a few more looks around, making sure the Doctor was good and ready to leave.

"As Byron said though, best to do that elsewhere."
