Alderaan - Love and Intrigue

She searched the spaceport for the Gliding Grypphus. A task that was proving more daunting than it should have since she hadn't exactly been paying attention the first time she made this trek. Wait, She thought, Is that it? She searches her alcohol addled memory, I think so.

She calls Omandri, hoping he's actually home.

Luckily for Breela he was indeed on the ship, he had been preparing it to move but as happened kind of often he had gotten side tracked by this or that. When she called Omandri the door slid open not too long after and the ramp came down letting her in. The doctor stood at the top in a simple tank top and comfortable pants with an easy smile "Hey there, what are you doing around these parts?" he asked with a chuckle and waved a hand inviting her in to the ship "Regardless, happy to see you." he said as he took a few steps backward and turned toward the ship proper.

Alcohol addled as she had been last time she was here she may not have remembered much about how the ship looked the greys, whites, and chrome giving it a clean look but it featured splashes of color with artifacts from cultures all across the galaxy, art, ancient weapons, pottery placed around on the walls and fixed to flat surfaces "Take a load off, drink?" he asked heading to a cabinet.

"Hey!" She grinned, "You look like you're ready to cast off sailor! Do you have a heading yet?" She stepped up and followed him aboard. Then looking around the interior, that night came flooding back in its entirety. "I remember this now. I asked you about your collection. Then your ohh so sexy nerd came out. After that I couldn't keep my hands off of you." She examines the weapons more closely. "This is Echani in origin isn't it."

He walked up behind her while she examined the weapon "Oh yes a pair of fire dancing swords. Quite interesting the way they treat the sword when they forge it so the fire doesn't soften the blades edge. and in the hands of a master watching the dance is exhilarating." He explained.

He then nodded smiling still "Oh yeah heading is just a few miles that way to Rist holdings. Considering my sister had the great judgment to conspire with a traitor and help them attempt a coup house Rist is in need of new management." He said with a bit of a rueful smile "As of last night you are looking at Duke Omandri Rist." He said chuckling "So looks like I'll be stuck here just a little longer than I planned."

She blinked, "Wait, what?" Staring, mouth agape, she struggled with the revelation, "So- you're... huh." She wasn't entirely sure how to react, "And... how do you feel about this?"

OOC: Sorry I passed out earlier.

Omandri chuckled a little "yeah that kind of sums up my reaction too." He sighed a little as he leaned against the counter "I mean. It's definitely not what I saw myself doing, I hadn't planned on sticking around longer than a week or two."

He paused "but, with everything going on, my sister, and Bryson dying. I just, I feel like this is where I need to be. It's going to be a lot of work especially since we are shifting away from assassination, moving more toward intelligence and espionage. Basically the same skill set without the killing."

"I see..." The irony wasn't lost on her. "A doctor leading assassins, yeah that seems like a balanced solution. It may be that your house becomes a vital police force. A far more honorable legacy I think." She took his hands in hers. "I just hope that this path brings you happiness. And when I can I'll be here for you." She looks at him tenderly but quirks an eyebrow, "Though I suspect the longevity of your house will take precedent. Gotta find yourself a Duchess now your lordship." She jokes playfully.

"I doubt we will do much with enforcement. Probably continue leaving those matters to Organa and Ulgo. We will deal mostly in information, finding and knowing the truth of things. We won't be all sunshine and rainbows but we will eventually no longer deal in assassination contracts which will be a good change if you ask me." He says with a small shrug

He grimaced a little when she mentions finding someone "Yes......eventually I will have to marry into noble blood. My sister always said fun, emotions, those were one thing but marriage was political." He frowned a little "I don't know what I'll do about that yet and I've got a lot to figure out before I even look to that." He said shaking his head.

But he returned the look she gave him "but I appreciate that. You know I'll always be there for you too." He gave her hands a squeeze as he looked down to her "I don't knownif it'll bring happiness but....but I think it's the right thing to do."

"There's something to be said about the reluctant leader. That you appreciate the monumental task before you speaks to your worthiness of it." She sighs bitterly, "Wow, here I am leaving, when I came here to build a new life. And here you are staying, when this was just supposed to be a stop over. What a cruel joke."

She lifts his arm and pulls in beside him.

"That's... also why I stopped by, to tell you that I'm most likely going to be leaving soon. We won't have another chance to see each other for at least a couple of months, if not longer." She leans her head against his body as her breaths become shallow. "I'm yours if you want me." She whispers longingly, "I have no illusions that we'll ever be together in any capacity beyond physical, ephemeral. But..." She looks up at him, "I'm yours all the same."

Omandri smiled a soft smile as Breela she hugged him "the galaxy works in mysterious ways Breela Po." He said and kissed the top of her head "what is it you jedi always say? All is as the force wills it? Not sure I ever believed in that sort of thing myself."

He looked down at Breela for a moment "I would say being friends is more than something ephemeral Bree. I do care about you, you're a wonderful person and I want happiness for you. And I want to be your friend, really your friend who checks up on you out on your wild adventures, who calls you up to chat sometimes, and who will be there for you when you have a shit day, or if you ever need help." He said sincerely.

“Jerk!” She whispers, “Don’t be so nice when you shoot me down. It only makes me want you more.” She pulls him in tighter grinning.

I deserve it really, she muses while locked in his embrace, I made you my emotional crutch after all.

“Be warned,’ she pulls away, “‘just’ a friend means subjecting yourself to the galaxies’s worst sense of humor.”

He leans down as she holds him and gives her forehead a light kiss "Our time together has been....complicated. fun, no doubt fun but I dont want to hurt you like that. I...I know what it's like to be the one that wants more in this scenario." He gives her a small grin "just know it's definitely not an easy offer to turn down."

At her comment about humor he laughs a little "oh I think I've already gotten a taste of that. It's tough but I think I'll be able to endure it. Only cause I care about you."

She raises an eyebrow, "Really? What do you call getting pickpocketed on Yag'Dhul?"

"I'll give you a hint - it's our relationship in spades." She winks.

I...I know what it's like to be the one that wants more in this scenario.

"I don't know who broke your heart, but they're crazy. And if I ever meet them I'll be sure to kick some sense into them." She reaches into her bag and pulls out a scroll, "I got this years ago on Eshan. It was one of many gifts my sparring partner gave me. His was the first heart I broke, seems only fitting really to follow the tradition and pass it along." She smiles and hands him the elegantly rendered scroll. On it are various forms that teach advanced level Echani Techniques.

He takes the scroll in his hands "Oh wow, Breela this, this amazing. I would try to refuse it but I have a feeling that you won't take no for an answer here." He says with a little grin as he pulls her into a tight hug and gives her a little kiss on the cheek holding her there for a second, enjoying the feeling of her in his arms.

As they separate He gives her a more amused grin "OK so what's this about a pick pocket?"

She hated how much she loved his embrace. "Nope you're keeping it. I've got too much stuff anyway." Gonna have to treat you like an addiction and quit cold turkey! She thought relishing his warmth before he released her.

She smirks, "Givin take."

Somewhere a cricket chirps.

"Ohhh I'm not stopping... Why are there never disease outbreaks at Mon Cala schools? Because of all the Quarren teens!"

Omandri sighed but he had a good natured grin on his face "ooookay Breela, I suspect you have more preparations to do before you head to Tython." He said in a friendly way of I can't handle one more joke right now.

"Remember to keep in touch and don't worry I'll drop by that gym of yours and make sure they are staying sharp." He said smiling to her.

She regards him grinning, "Nah I've already seen to everything. But I'll go before my audience starts throwing things." She picks up her bag and turns for the door. "As for the gym, I'd appreciate that but I won't hold you to it. You've got a house to run now. So no slacking off."

As she steps outside she'll turn and smile, "And about that. I'm not gonna wish you luck, because you won't need it. Just keep doing what you know is right." She looks with pride, "All of Alderaan knows your worth after the way you stood up to Ulgo. Especially the Panteers. So just press ahead and your house will fall in line."

She commits the way he looks here and now to memory before shaking her head with a grin. "I'll call you when I get to Tython." She sighs and bows, "Force be with you, Omandri."

Afterwards she turns and leaves.
