[Day 9 - Late Morning, Rima Roundabout] Onward and Upwards!

[Aurilie Alde]

Yesterday was chaotic, to say the least. Aurilie had run through the rollercoaster of emotions, even as someone who wasn't deeply ingrained in the politics of the coup. It was a day that shook many Alderaanians to the core, and she had her share of concerns on top of it. However, today would be different and she was more than ready to return to a day of stability. Her day would start with checking up on someone, whose life had been anything but, admittedly. Riss's life seemingly felt like a ride and that didn't stop even when she returned home. She could only hope that she could find the happiness she wanted wherever she went next, stable or not.

Dressed in a blue blazer and vest with some sturdy pants, Aurilie made an appearance at a familiar ship and gave it a knock. She made her presence obvious with a casual call-out. "Hey, Riss! It's me!"

[Riss]

Door swooshing open a half-naked Riss, undergarment and pants, she was busy brushing her teeth. Raising up a hand she gives a brief wave, and with mouth full of the brush, "Haey Auurilee," she says, smile forming around the efforts.

Reaching out with her other hand she'd take Aurilie by the hand and pull her carefully, gently, inside. "One shecond," she says, and then walks off toward the galley. From the spot where she was left she could see Riss disappear behind a corner and then come back into view as she walks past the point where over a half-wall counter she could see the sink. Rinsing, spitting, and then again for good measure.

Aurilie blinked when she was confronted by a tooth-brushing Riss. She chuckled and awkwardly waved back. Now, she was pretty sure she wasn't that early but she supposed that Riss might keep weird hours. She slipped in with her guidance easily enough.

"Sure," she said with a smile as she stepped in, giving Riss her moment to get ready. While she waited, she did brave the hall of Riss's ship with her hands behind her back, gingerly making her way toward the galley where they had watched the movie some night ago. Hopefully, the ship hadn't become messier since her last visit.

[Riss]

Of chief importance, Aurilie could see the pillows and such she'd brought over for their night watching movies, the bowls, everything was just merely moved out of the way. By a keen eye she could even be recently certain that it was only disturbed recently, earlier company than her it would seem. At that thought she could hear Riss spit into the sink one last time and stop the water running. Sliding her hand along the counter Riss comes swinging around the bend and rushes back over to Aurilie, putting her into a hug.

"Couldn't give you one at the door," she comments into it, muffled as Riss tends to bury herself into people a bit, close friends like Aurilie more so than others.

Aurilie wasn't surprised that Riss had company, although she did question why didn't she brush her teeth beforehand. Whoever it was, hopefully, they didn't mind too much. She probably wouldn't have fuss about it. Maybe.

She laughed as she was pulled into a hug and she did the same by giving her a hug right back. This was something that she could probably do forever with Riss, although she was also hoping that this was perhaps a sign that she was in better spirits. "Oh! I wasn't keeping count on your tab but considered this one paid in full, my dear. So good to see you again."

She would let the hug linger for a moment before letting go, just so she could drag Riss over so that she could reclaim that seat she took from a few nights ago. "How are you doing here?"

[Riss]

"I'm-" she hesitates a moment, bringing her legs up underneath her as she sat normally when Aurilie originally guided her. Leaning her elbow, resting her head in her palm, "I'm pushing forward. Can't.. trying not to let everything weigh me down too much, mm?" she says, giving a half-smile. There was still the pain that flashed in her eyes when her thoughts drifted over the specifics but she didn't let them bubble to the surface. A brighter smile she nods, "How about you.. how'd you heal up after all the.. everything yesterday?"

Aurilie's expression became attentive as she listened to Riss, nodding a few times as she crossed her arms together. There was a mix of concern and optimism on her expression, the latter perhaps only because she was wrestling with herself to keep positive for both their sake.

"That's good to hear but don't go too fast, okay? I don't think anyone is expecting you to run after a crash." She said with a chuckle. It was perhaps admirable with how Riss was taking it. Aurilie had to admit to herself that she probably wouldn't have fared as well in her shoes. "If you need anything, know that I'm around, even if I'm in another system."

Her hand went to her side and she smiled softly. "I think the good Doctor Rist did most of it. After some sleep and a stim, I'm doing all better now. Well, as much as I could sleep yesterday with all of the...excitement. There was something good to come out of it at the very least."

[Riss]

"No, but it's easier to run than walk sometimes," she says, with a slight but weary smile. Looking Aurilie over as she did, seeming to double check and verify the very same thing she was suggesting, that she was in rather good health. With a light prod to Aurilie's stomach she tested this theory, "I'll be staying here, by the way," she says, quickly- as if to avoid retribution by distracting from the prod.

"Ooof! Hey!" She giggled as Riss managed to coax an easy giggle out of her from the poking. Her hands would go down to her sides in somewhat of a futile defensive position if Riss was going to resort to poking her. "I never said that I lost all feeling to my sides. I'm not suddenly immune to being ticklish, as great as that would be!"

"Oh?" She said curiously as she sat up straight again. "...That's good! But what changed your mind?"
