Katarzyna's lightsaber had kept Black Tooth at bay enough to reduce the damage it had inflicted on herself, but even as she had tried to protect Aurilie, the Prince of Joral had gone down.

"Hang on!" Unafraid, she withdrew a stim and applied it to Aurilie, making sure to apply it in a place that would make her recover faster. "I'll hold them off!"

A beam of green light streaked behind her as she rushed forward, and it made a deadly cut into one of the pack mates that had tried to frighten her.

Everything felt like a blur to Aurilie, she had her rifle trained on the pack then Black Tooth charged right at Ser Keyhote. Everything felt chaotic as the mutant beast was attempting to taking a chunk out of her friend to no avail. However, when she thought she was spared from the carnage, Black Tooth lep up and...all Aurilie remembered seeing was a patchwork of fur colliding right against her. Then, everything turned black.

Good night sweet prince.

However, her tale wasn't over yet. She gasped awake when the stimmed from Kat took hold of her and she quickly snapped her gaze around as she tried to get a sense of her bearings, roused from her involuntary sleep. Her body ached and she felt blood running from her arm. She winced as she stood to her feet and saw fire blazing. What in the Force? What in blazes?! What sort of pit of hell had she awoken in?

Trying to fight the cobwebs in her mind, she quickly staggered away to put some distance between her and the fight. Ser Keyhote was still in trouble. That hadn't changed but she hoped to make the difference. She weakly raised her rifle and fire a shot at Black Tooth. No different than that time in Rodia, she supposed.

Her rifle cracked with a thundering shot and the bullet went through the fire to connect with someone on the otherwise. She felt numbness spread on her shoulder at the kickback from the rifle and she grimaced at the sensation before pulling back the bolt to eject the casing.

Fear Check - Cool: 2eP+1eA+3eD 1 success, 1 threat
ImageImageImageImageImageImage

She wondered if the massive beast even felt the stun cloak as it discharged on impact. Holding on for dear life she parried the attack then fearlessly turned the momentum in her favor. Using martial grace she built up speed and took to the sky aiming directly for the hounds nose.

Black Tooth seemed unphased by the cloak, but the strike by the powerful fighter at least gave it some pause. But it was hungry for flesh. The rest of the pack swarmed around the Hutt.

Black Tooth continues to maul into their prey with fury! Their rage spurs on their allies.

OOC: Black Tooth took a second Critical Injury, and 4 strain on top of the 6 wounds. The pack cannot pierce the thick armor of the Hutt, but he does get three Threat to use. End of Round 1.

Round 2.

Black Tooth (Nemesis, Defense 1/1, Adversary 2 [Upgrade difficulty twice]), 2 Kath Hound Mates (Rival, Adversary 1), Kath Hound Pack (Minions, 3 Members) they all start at short range, while the pack and Blacktooth are engaged with the Hutt.

Black Tooth uses a Triumph to deliver a Critical Injury and deals another 14 wounds to the Hutt, Pierce 3. 1 advantage to recover strain and 1 to boost their next ally. Now at 3 strain and 6 wounds with two Critical Injuries. Maneuver to Aim.

Kath Hound Pack vs. Hutt: 2eP+1eA+2eS+2eD 3 successes, 3 threat

Black Tooth + Destiny Upgrade vs. Hutt: 5eP+1eA+3eB+2eS+2eD 5 successes, 2 advantage, 1 Triumph

((Given timezones I might have Keyhote go now))

Keyhote's armour buckles under the ferocious assault and the Hutt is driven back dangerously close to the fire even as the pack attempts to savage him. But the smaller creatures do get in the way of their overlord and give our noble knight an edge to seize his weapon and rear back swinging.

Day 4 Culling The Hounds, EM. Round 2 attack on black tooth, upgrade from aurilie, boost from aim.: 3eP+2eA+1eB+2eC+1eS 4 successes, 1 advantage, 1 Triumph

((16 damage, pierce 2 on black tooth, 1 advantage for a crit, triumph to try and force it into the fire, or failing that to being forcing it in there for later triumphs if possible?))

Day 4 Culling The Hounds, EM. Round 2 crit roll, factoring in the blacktooth's 3 durable talents: 1d100+20 61

Keyhote brings his blade down firmly on the Blacktooth's skull giving it more than a headache before shoulder charging the hound to force it into the flames.

Black Tooth howled at the blow as it stumbled back into the flames! For moment the flames licked off it’s flesh and then reemerged on fire, but still seemingly ready to do battle.

Meanwhile the first Kath hound mate roared and snapped at the Jedi causing her to lose her grip on her sacred weapon, and even shaking Breela with the vicious howls.

OOC: Suffers 9 more wounds and is at 15 total with three Critical Injuries and 3 strain.

Kath Hound Mate #1 Howls and snaps at the Jedi, causing her 2 (1 advantage) strain and forcing her to drop her weapon due to Triumph, and Breela suffers 1 strain as well due to 2 successes.

PC Turn.

Kat was quick on the recovery of her weapon, moving with clarity of purpose as she avoided snapping teeth and slobbering jaws.

Though this time the hound was able to avoid the deadly weapon of light, perhaps having learned from it previously. But it did keep it at bay long enough for her to regain her focus and the way she stood unflinching was inspiring to her teammates.

Aurilie stimmed herself to give herself a bit of an extra boost and pep so that she didn't feel like she crawled out of speeder crash. Perhaps wouldn't do much but it would help with the rest of her day in volleyball at least!

She would ready her rifle and try to establish a good idea of Black Tooth until she saw more fur jumping into the fire. Can we...Can we stand still here?

No matter, there were more than enough targets and she took a shot at the grouping attacking Ser Keyhote.

Move #1: Stim self at 2 Strain
Move #2: Hunter's Quarry at 2 Strain, failed
Action: Shoot her! Shoot her!

The droid sees the pack removed and spun it's upper chassis shooting at the the first pack mate and removing it from the right with deadly accuracy.

"Roger, roger." Then it advanced and took up a guard position near Aurilie.

Black Tooth savaged the hutt some more before flinging him back through the flames to land prone next to his allies. It roared in triumph.

OOC: V1-V0 hit the first packmate, it is doomed and regains 1 strain and boost the enxt ally, uses Bodyguard as a maneuver for Aurilie for 2 strain, and moved to engaged with Aurilie.
