"I'm guilty of being stuck in the present, of never giving myself the time to think about what would come after. If the Sith threat were gone tomorrow, I suppose I would like to do something similar to what I do now. Not the fighting, but guiding people and helping them reach their full potential."

She cubes up the manka meat and adds it to a pot along with a bottle of Juran wine and some torn malla leaves before setting it over the fire. She starts roughly chopping some zuchii, "Or maybe I should delve into my cooking skills and open a restaurant." She says proudly.

"That was more of a jest. We'll have to wait and see how this turns out first. Although, I've learned that you can braise pretty much any game in some wine and pair it with some fried vegetables and it's a passable meal."

She sets aside the chopped zuchii and walks over to Joran to sit next to him, pulling two glasses and a bottle of Corellian Whiskey from her pack. "Now we relax and enjoy some good whiskey and some good company until dinner is ready."

Joran smirked and said, “I don’t put it past any of you to have some crazy or interesting hobbies not that cooking is crazy just… never mind. And whiskey, are we drinking the old man liquor, now?”

“Yeah pour me a cup,” he said offering his portable cup.

"Listen, it's old man liquor because once they've tried all the rest, they'll only settle for the best." She says jokingly indignant. "I suppose I should've brought some Madhound 20/20?" She laughs.

After pouring them each a glass and sitting peacefully for a short time, she speaks up again in a more somber tone, "You know, I worry for you and for Princess Jameela. I even worry for Prince Gaul and Prince Unther. Those separatists I was telling you about, we tracked one down this morning and I was talking to one, incognito. They were frustrated that they couldn't stage an attack at the thranta race. They said if they couldn't get to the Queen that they would take out her kids instead, make her bleed."

She takes a sip of her drink. "We're coming to the end of the Festival and I'm worried they're going to become more desperate."

"I can understand a few crazies with some imagined personal vendetta or foreign powers trying to weaken Alderaan, but to see so many of our own citizens so easily manipulated..." She stands up to go needlessly stir the pot, "Even though Major Koor's theory is this is all some conspiracy by outside powers, it's the political machinations of self-serving Houses that's led us here and created a vulnerability." She says with a hint of disgust.

She stops stirring the pot and walks over to Joran, "And that is why you will make a great King for the people of Alderaan." She leans over to give him a kiss.

She walks back to the campfire. "But, that is a problem for the future. The manka is almost ready. Just need to fry up some zuchii and dinner will be ready." She says with a pleasant smile as she goes about her work.

Joran placed his arms around her and said, "The food can wait, and I'd rather use this time alone wisely." He kissed her again with deep passion ignoring the food for now and focusing his desire for her.

She sunk into Joran's arms, indulging in a rare moment of vulnerability. Working her hands around the hem of his shirt and pulling it up and over his head she whispers in his ear, "This is going to take a while, I'm not going to take it easy on you."
