The stairs down begin to crumble dropping the heroes about 3 meters to the cavern floor that makes up the basement area into a pool of chemicals and brackish water a half a meter deep.

Both Blai and Galen hit the ground hard, while the others land hard but are capable of bracing themselves. The floor is covered in several centimeters of dirty polluted water and is dark besides the light they have brought with them. At the edge of the light, glimmering red eyes appear at average humanoid height and harsh whispers in some foreign unknown language fill the chamber, harsh and guttural.

OOC: Fall damage suffered is follows; wounds reduced by soak but the strain is not. Aurilie suffers 8 wounds and 10 strain, Blai suffers 10 wounds and 7 strain, Galen suffers 10 wounds and 8 strain, Breela suffers 6 wounds and 8 strain.

Blai still has a free upgrade to the next check for himself or someone he dictates.

The glowrod skittered across the water. It took a moment for Galen to come to his sense and rise to his feet. He injected himself with a stim and looked at Baes.

Blai takes a while to recover from the fall as well, and it takes him another while to notice his attempts at understanding the whispers were not failing because he was dizzy, but because it was a... weird language of some sort.

He quickly takes a stim from his military pouch and injects himself with it, and only then finally starts to make sense of Baesal's words.

A chill runs down his spine. Seriously? The Jedi that had followed them and helped them before? Who they had helped?

He feels the scene from the Hive plays on his mind again. Was that what this was about? That... didn't sound quite right. Still... oof.

He sighs and, resisting the urge to facepalm, tries to get to his feet and get his hands ready on the Cryo Rifle again. This time, Elur's growling is met with a smile. "That's right, girl... we've got work to do"

Blai was still confused, although hearing Baesal apparently fighting internally made him somehow *less* worried than he was before. Something possessing one of them was definitely not good news, but it was an improvement over having been led to a trap.

Not that they weren't in a trap... But at least it was an encouragement. And he and the she-wolf were definitely ready for...
