[Day 5, LM] Into the Lair

[Galen Sol]

Galen checked his respirator again, along with the rest of his gear. He looked around warily as they approached the ruins. This was likely still a dangerous place.

[Aurilie Alde]

Aurilie may have gotten her kill yesterday but she wanted to see this through and close the chapter on this tale. Especially when Black Tooth didn't seem like a one-off anomaly but rather something greater that happened and caused the creation of a whole pack of monstrosities. With the alpha gone, she surmised that there might be another to take its place and they could end up going through it again. She would like to avoid that.

She was here once more, dressed in the same way as their scouting excursion. "Good morning, Galen," she greeted him.

[Galen Sol]

"Good morning, Prince Alde." he nodded. "Hopefully we can clear out any remaining threats so that the area can be properly cleansed of toxins."

[Baesal Zyn]

Her instruments were secure, so were her weapons: they could take a trip into whatever that black water was.

Baesal arrived on the scene while finishing the inspection of the seal on her armor

''Good morning''

[Breela Po]

Breela arrived still in her armor. "Good morning everyone. How are the hounds you captured doing?"

[Galen Sol]

"Not happy." he sighed. "But, hopefully we can find a way to help them."

[Dapper Dog]

The fumes were still here and the dangers present but the main building was open as the door was torn off the hinges. It was a poor state with crumbling walls and twisted metal debris.

[Galen Sol]

Rifle at the ready and saber hanging on his belt, Galen slid his goggles into place and led the way.

[Blai Frayus]

Blai was set with the same equipment as the day before, minus one of the electrosnares, but this time bringing one bola and his vet equipment, just in case.

"G'day everyone. Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this today, eh?", he said with a half-smile, kind but worried.

With Galen at the front, he kept to the back of the group, Elur at his heels.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Keep an eye out for structural damages. We can't have the building fall in us'' Baes commented

[Blai Frayus]

"Good point", Blai said. This was definitely out of his element - he usually stayed well away from industrial areas during his travels.... but needs are needs.

He takes a good look at the ruins, trying to gauge their state, looking both for beings that might be hiding or stalking them, and for a path that seemed safe enough to take through the area.

[Aurilie Alde]

Aurilie had her new respirator for this occasion, no need to borrow Galen's this time. While she was aware that this wasn't the same team she worked with to take down the hounds and it was likely their approach was different, she still had her rifle out at the ready. She followed the group from the rear, although kept looking back once in a while. There was no telling how clever these beasts could be when cornered.

[Blai Frayus]

Seeing Galen and Aurilie with their Rifles out, Blai fussed through his belongings for a moment to get his Cryo Rifle at the ready as well, Elur keeping an eye around while he did it, just in case.

They then keep pressing forward - Galen at the front, Blai walking besides Aurilie, with Elur slightly to the side.

He nodded to Aurilie as they walked. Three shooters, front and back ready and protected. They just has to be careful...

[Dapper Dog]

The kath hounds and the Republic tore this place to pieces it’s a tangle of debris and metalwork and the lair of the creatures or it was. Any that remains have fled leaving behind bones and decaying carcasses. There is an a shattered entranced to what looks to be abasement but otherwise there isjust fumes, broken containers with foul chemicals and debris.

OOC: if you want to make a check just list what you want to do and I will provide a difficulty or just roll Sense.

[Aurilie Alde]

Aurilie nodded back at Blai and kept a look out for hounds...or anything that might be predatory and potentially created by the facility.

(OOC: Aurilie just wants to know if there are lingering threats or hints of any creatures still living here.)

[Dapper Dog]

Nothing there seems a threat to them or others that lingers in this area.

[Blai Frayus]

Blai tries to attune his senses to any living beings nearby, but once again finds only the pull of darkness and refrains from giving in to it. Choosing to rely on his normal senses instead, he keeps his eyes focused on the surroundings, looking for any hazards, traps or ambushes, and points to the entrance

"Time to enter, I guess", he says to the others.

Galen looked over the room carefully, searching for any sign that any living thing, other than the hounds, had been in here.

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal felt the dark call of the place once but still choose to extend her sense into the Force but the corruption masked anything

sense in the ruins: 2eF 2 Dark Side

''Mmmmh...the dark side is strong here.''

She began looking over the broken chemical bottles to see if there was any particular products or anything alchemical in nature

At Baes' comment, Galen opens himself to sense their surroundings. He feels the darkness, but holds on to the light.
