[Day 6 - Mid-Evening] Meeting!

[Aurilie Alde]

"Riss!" Aurilie wasn't going to sitting around while Riss was going to play around with the liquor cabinet. She got up from her seat on the couch and charged after her in a huff. Her steps perhaps slowed down as she got closer and turned around once she met her there, pushing her hair back with a frustrated sigh. It perhaps seemed silly to stop her. If anything, she probably really needed it.

"...Yes, sure...go ahead," she said, sounding partially defeated.

[Riss]

"Someone getting worried I was about to drain their liquor cabinet?" she asks with a put-on teasing tone. Bottle in hand she nudges Aurilie a bit with her elbow and then turns to the glasses, putting another set together. Bottle down, she hands one to Aurilie and keeps one herself. A quick glance would reveal Riss definitely had a heavier hand than Aurilie did but even more so Riss' own glass had even more than that, not by too much, but it was enough to be noticed by a keen eye.

Something she tried to conceal by immediately taking a sip form her own.

"No, no, it's just..." She said as she placed a hand on her forehead in exasperation and sighed deeply, feeling partially silly at the moment. What did she think was going to happen? Riss was going to down a whole bottle by herself? "Sorry, I guess I thought you were going to something brash. I guess I should be glad that you were going for the drinks and not thinking about jumping off the balcony, which would be shameful and silly."

She offered a glance and perhaps did see the difference in their drinks but said nothing of it when she took a sip of her own. "Mmm, that said, I guess we did both need another drink. But not more about this. Besides, they have a bar that serves the better stuff. This stuff in the guest rooms is really just meant to whet your appetite."

[Riss]

"Hmmm, we could go out? Pre-drinking for my night out drinking with the prince later.." she chuckles, half distracted by the thought as she steps away from the cabinet and with her free arm hooks it onto the free one of Aurilie. Walking them into the room further. "Besides- I'm reckless, not dumb Aurie," she teases on a note, scrunching her nose and shaking it a bit. "Best chance you got me of jumping off that balcony if there's a pool beneath it and the canon-ball would be absolutely wild," she says, chuckling as she places the glass back for a longer sip.

Aurilie let out a short laugh as she was willingly hooked by Riss, walking with her lead as she took a sip from her glass. "That makes this drinking a bit more appropriate if we're going to do that later. I admit, it just feels more appropriate to be doing my drinking with you outside of formality. Like that time where we snuck away from that party with a bottle of something and tried drinking like adults. It tasted gross, at the time, by the way. I'm sure it was a prized vintage that was wasted on us."

Her expression turned serious and she sighed. "Sorry, again. I'm sure you're going to do everything you can, or will, at least. Handling the situation is a lot, to say the least. This is handling it, I suppose."

[Riss]

"Kriiiiiif, you don't even know how angry my dad was about that. Hid his good stash in a new place I couldn't find for at least the next couples months," she laughs, that sudden brightness returned a bit. Little rumbles of the laugh still emanating as Aurilie added on the other bit, to which she only nodded. Doing everything she can was all she knew to do, even if it felt like nothing she'd do it. For now though, she was happy to push the thought down as evidence by- "I don't know if I ever told you about that. Found it eventually again, of course. Got into it a couple more times too. Kriff, got caught once by my little sister and the look on her face when I swore her to silence you woulda thought she was 'boutta have a panic attack."

"She kept quiet though," she says, that reminiscent tone remaining.

"Really?! It wasn't enough how gross it tasted to you and you went back for more?" She was bemused before she took another sip of her glass, which was perhaps a bit funny considering she was complaining about the taste of alcohol. "That's kind of playing with fire there? And your sister, too? That must have been so embarrassing. I'd think I'd be pretty much done if that happened to me, good luck getting Wren to keep a secret on my behalf. She'd probably just casually throw it out there in the open during a day trip down the mountain."

Her parents still had it in their heads to put Wren in politics for some reason, she couldn't help but give a roll of her eyes before taking another sip.
