"Thank you for your advice, I feel better to have talked it out and come up with a game plan. And thank you for helping me prepare for tonight. Please let me know when I can return the favor. I may not be able to give you any pointers on etiquette, but I can be resourceful, and I will make sure to put a good word in for you with the Queen."

She takes a spoon and cracks into the creme brulee. "Now, let us enjoy the end of this delightful meal before we venture out to the rest of the day."
