Delmi waited in her room after getting back from her flurry of errands early in the morning.

She typed something on her data pad to Theron as she let out a breath.

Delmi waited in her room after getting back from her flurry of errands early in the morning.

She typed something on her data pad to Theron as she let out a breath.

Jocasta had a restless night. She had eagerly waited for the time given by Delmi, forgoing her morning run.

On the dot at 0800 she buzzed the door. After it opened, she walked in, took a seat, and poured a cup of coffee without saying a word. After sitting quietly for a moment, she downed the cup of coffee that was entirely too hot and poured another.

"You were right." She said succinctly.

She watched the other woman as she came in and waited for her to get situated.

When she spoke a somewhat perplexed look came over her features, “I mean… I usually am. But how this time?”

"About Julio. I knew it was a possibility, probable even, but a part of me wanted you to be wrong.

I spoke with him last night, he danced around the subject, but eventually he gave in and asked for help." She sips some coffee, more cautiously this time. "He asked if I could get him some guns and some munitions."

“For…?” Delmi asked with a concerned look on her face and a tap on her communicator.

Jocasta sighed and sank back into her seat, "He said it was for a 'clean up' and that he wanted to go out with honor, in a blaze of glory. I thought he was planning a suicide mission, but after I prodded a bit more he said he had a team..."

She was hesitated before saying this last part. She was supposed to keep quiet, but she had been vague and it's not like Julio was going to run and tell the Thul. "Before that I may have said we should recruit you... and I may have said you were only working for the Thul to get what you want."

“Well… of all the people to tell that to, he’s probably the least likely to tell the Thul.” She said.

“We should bring in my friend… If Julio is looking for armaments this is something we need to take a careful watch over…”

"I knew I would need to bring you into the fold to get any substantive information. He was distrustful because of your Thul connections, but I figured, of course you're with them to get what you want, any associate is with a House to get what they want..." She said hopefully.

"I did tell him you would be useful because of your Havoc Squad experience and that you might be able to get what he was looking for, so there's that. The only other information I got was that the people he's working with aren't people I would know and that they're bad people."

“Yeah… this is rather troubling… But maybe not altogether terrible just yet. If we can find a way to track their movements… get to know their plans… then we can ensure that they can be stopped before they do something rash.”

Theron called in on holo.

Delmi answered and when he appeared she said, “I’m here with Lt. Teraan. It appears that our friend Julio is planning something and needs armaments…”

She looked over to Jocasta, “This is… well I’ll let him introduce himself.”

"Agent Shan," he said. "Yeah, he has been making purchases of military spec gear, finally upgrading to full blown terror threat it seems."

Delmi nodded, "Theron's the brains of this operation... He tends to know things better than me."

She turned to the holo, "So what're our options?"

"Depends, do we want to use him to see if there is someone pulling the strings or remove him now?" he replied.

"I mean... he doesn't seem the evil mastermind type, does he? We take him out... then they just find another angry man to do their bidding..." She replied.

"No offense." She said to Jocasta.

Feeling ashamed, Jocasta quietly sat in her chair and wondered how a trooper under her command could have fallen so low as to plot against the Crown.

She wanted to speak up and tell them that Julio didn't need to be "removed", that she could get through to him, but this was above her pay grade. Even if it wasn't she was too close to make an objective call and she understood that. Instead, she waited for the opportunity to contribute and thought about what she could've done differently to prevent this all from happening.

"We give him the weapons he needs, track him and see who is pushing him. Standard op," he said.

Delmi nodded, "Sounds about right."

She turned to Jocasta, "You ready to keep heading down the Borcatu hole?"

"I'll do whatever I can to prevent things from going too far..."

She hesitated to ask, but had to know, "Is there any outcome where Julio comes out okay here? Alive, not branded as a terrorist or a traitor?"

Delmi paused and let out a breath, "I mean... we figure out who is behind this... And Julio doesn't do any actual 'terrorist' stuff... then why throw him in prison for something he didn't do?"

She paused, "Finding the truth is your best hope right now for your friend... Maybe he's getting fucked over by someone too. If he figures that out... then maybe all this anger can be put in a more productive direction."
