Open Secrets [Day 2, LE]

[Riss]

"Stab Ziandra Thul in the back?" she says, putting on a mock serious face before she chuckles, shaking her head. Holding up her free hand to give pause to that idea, "That'd.. actually hurt more than it helps, so maybe not do that," she half chuckles, shaking her head. "I'm.. not sure yet. I have to try and get close to Prince Joran again, now, and not for the reasons we were originally talking about. Gotta get something to him so.. I'm gonna try on my own but if it comes down to it maybe you can help convince him to talk to me? That's only if today was.. as bad as a part of me feels it might be," she says, settling the hand back down again.

"Just.. watch your back while you're talking to her, mmm? Thul's are.. well, they were banished for a reason," she says, glancing off into the rest of the establishment. A soft sigh as she settles into herself again.

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella smirked. "You'd be better asking some of those assassins than me to do such a thing." Her good humor faded away as she thought of the Prince. "Yes, of course I'd do such a thing for you. However, I'm still confused as to why you need to speak to him. If it isn't to romance him or to reinstate your House, then what could it be?"

She shook her head. "No, no, don't worry about me. I sincerely doubt she'd try to kill me tomorrow at this meeting. And even if she did, I'm sure I'd have you and others running in guns blazing," she said with a wink.

[Riss]

"At the drop of a knife," she says with a returned smirk. Eyes going pensive a moment she glances down to the tabletop rather than Cynella herself. Sighing she takes a moment to consider the position before repeating a line she'd heard almost all too recently, "Better the less you know, mm?" she says with a brief smile as she looks back up to her. "I mean.. I'd like to talk to him about earlier too but this is more important right now. Just gotta.." she shakes her head, "If it comes to it," and offers a bright smile once more.

[Cynella Andrim]

"Okay," Cynella said, tilting her head. "Still going to play the mysterious card. Unfortunate but I haven't been able to force anything out of you yet. You're a tough nut to crack." She smiled faintly, before righting herself. "I would be rather cross with him if he held one misstep against you. Certainly not the type of husband I'd want!"

[Riss]

"And that? That's why we're friends," she says with one of Cynella's winks. At the time, the food arrives and they're placed down. Two in front of Riss and Cynella's order in front of herself. With one Riss puts a knife into it at the center and then shoves it into the center of the table.

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella glanced at the piece of dessert and then back to Riss. "What? You want me to make the rest of the cut for you then? I'm not even sure what it is."

[Riss]

Riss glances across at Cynella raising a brow, a half-chuckles, "No no," she laughs shaking her head. "That's just there for either of us m" she picks up a fork and points with it at the plate in front of herself

"They're a.. two different of these types of cakes I used to eat when I, well, when I was younger. Never had that one but this one," she prods at it with the fork, "this one I like. Want a bite?" She asks, sticking the fork into it.

[Cynella Andrim]

"What's in it?" Cynella asked as if it was deathly poison. She lowered her face to just above the table and peered at it. "The shape... it's not like Kuati cakes."

[Riss]

"Chocolates the main bit.." she says, stabbing off a piece of her own she lifts it and places her hand underneath to keep anything from falling off. Leaning against the table she hovers in front of Cynella, "There's also this filling bit.. you can see it there, not quite sure what it is never was that curious bit it tastes really good. Might be a little strange at first but," she chuckles, "just trust me, mm?"

[Cynella Andrim]

"Chocolate? Of what sort? There are many kinds," Cynella said, still wary of such a calorie-heavy monstrosity. "It's been years since you've had it? Or has it made its way through the rest of the galaxy?"

[Riss]

"It's been years,'?" she says, giving another raise to the bit on the fork she was offering over. A light smile, "Now take a bite and find out the rest. No more stalling," she teases with a soft laugh.

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella sighed and took her first scoop. As she took her first bite, her face was an amalgamation of moods. Her lips curled upwards, pleased by the flavor, though her eyebrows furrowed as her mind raced to decipher said tastes.

After she swallowed and wiped her lips, she said, "It's... rather sweet!"

[Riss]

"Mmhmmm," Riss smiles brightly, lowering her hands back she settles back into her seat for a moment. "Good, right?" she asks, a raise to her brow. "Got a whoooole one waiting for you riiight there," she suggests with that extended vocalization for the tease in her tone. Bright smile turning to something a little more cunning, a little more teasing.

[Cynella Andrim]

"It is acceptable," Cynella said, her eyes sullenly shifting between the two. "It's a bit much, really. Almost feels excessive. Nobility should know some restraint, after all."

[Riss]

"I.. think you have restraint covered for a good portion of the rest of the nobility I've ever known," she chuckles, a touch awkwardly as she digs the fork back into her own cake and takes a bite. Closing her eyes as she enjoys the taste of it, the sensation of eating it. It was.. almost like really being back home again. Taking about ten seconds or so for that, she does eventually return to the conversation and focuses back onto Cynella.

"Anyway, enough about my crazy wonderful exciting life. What else has been going on with you?" she asks, raising a brow.

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella shook her head. "On the contrary, I'd say I have my own failings. My parents didn't let me bring any of their money because they thought I might purchase... how did they put it...? Ah! Too many 'random babbles.' " She shook her head. "I only wanted to pretty up the place with a bit of history but such things aren't cheap, so I've heard."

She rolled her eyes. "Oh I don't think I have any revelations that could beat yours. But if you must know, I have met a couple more suitable suitors. Their names are Aurilie Alde and Kellen Rist. To be honest, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if you already knew them well, perhaps better than I. You seem to have me beaten at every turn when it comes to that. Gee, I wonder why."

[Riss]

"Don't know this Kellen.." she says, another fork into the cake and another mouthful waiting in the space in front of her as she continues. "Aurilie though.. doesn't hurt to mention now, I guess," she half-chuckles but cuts it short by taking the bite and enjoying it nearly as much as the first. Rolling her eyes up a bit at the pleasurable taste of it. A small swear under her breath in relation to it. Shaking her head as she comes back from it, "Okay, so where was I? Oh right, Aurilie mentioned you. She's kind of an old friend of mine," she chuckles more openly now, waving the fork a bit.

"Friend from before though, before the whole me leaving Alderaan and everything."

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella raised her brow, watching the entire drawn-out sequence Riss had employed. "It's more surprising that you don't know Kellen," she said with a wink. "It's good to know I'm on her thoughts though. Bodes well if we're to be betrothed, after all. House Alde seems influential enough if their name is plastered onto the planet!"

[Riss]

"They're pretty influential, yea," she chuckles, shaking her head. "But if that one ends up working out you'll have to invite me to all your big events, mmm?" she teases with a scrunch of her nose, a little shake. Pausing a moment to stick her fork in the dessert again as she returns to a thought.

"Who's this Kellen though that you'd think I would have known him?"

[Cynella Andrim]

"Oh I'm sure I'll be inviting you to all the events regardless of who my spouse ends up being." Cynella pursed her lips, curious if she'd want to come if the marriage was to Prince Joran.

Rather than linger on it, she spoke of the other man. "Like I alluded to before, you seem to be acquainted with just about everyone on this planet. But because of your prior encounters with House Rist, I figured he might be another you're familiar with."
