Open Secrets [Day 2, LE]

[Riss]

On her way back to the main-stay of her attention Riss shot a message off toward Cynella. Of all her friends, Cynella was the one she could be reasonably certain she could gossip about most of this with without being judged or shocking perhaps too much. Which meant more that she was a fresh friend than anything probably, but the message was sent and she got herself ready waiting outside the establishment for her. Leg crossed over the other she lounges on e bench near the establishment awaiting for the woman herself to arrive.

[Cynella Andrim]

Unfortunately at this hour, Cynella had already eaten her dinner. But without another arrangement and out of concern/curiosity, she arrived nonetheless and was prepared to pick at a small portion. "My, my, I would have thought my first time here would have been with a suitor," she said, glancing around with an amused smirk. "I suppose I'll be able to prepare for that future, hm?"

[Riss]

"Most everythings free out here so.." she pops up from the bench as Cynella arrives. Moving forward with that easy confidence of hers she slips up to her and gives a quick basic hug in greeting. Stepping back she flashes a quick and bright smile, "And yea, that's a good way of thinkin'" she chuckles, glancing toward the door to the establishment. "We can try something you might not of otherwise tried with one of them, or something like that? Just get real zaney with the food choice," she chuckles again and put a hand on her stomach.

"Had a little something just before but.. can\t hurt to taste test when it's all free, mm?" she suggests with a smirk.

[Cynella Andrim]

"I more-so figured that I'd get an invitation from a suitor hoping to dine me instead of a free meal," Cynella said, accepting the hug with grace. "Is the food here that odd? The room service seemed normal enough."

She blinked. "Wait, you'd already eaten too? Then why did you choose to come here?"

[Riss]

"Was thinking about you!" she admits, chuckling as she breaks from the hug and gives a gentle pat on Cynella's shoulders as they did. Hands going onto her own hips while they stand for the moment, "Thought you might have still not eaten and didn't wanna pull you away from the chance for my.." she raises one hand, flippantly casting it about in the air, "nonsense, or whatever," she looks back to her laughing with a natural brightness to her.

"Guess all the better reason to see if they have anything really weird on the menu now, mmm?" she suggest with a conspiratorial tone and a smirk that would shame even the most shameless of salesmen.

[Cynella Andrim]

"Well yes, clearly you were thinking of me. But we could have gone to... well, I'm not so sure! I haven't become too acquainted with the planet yet."

Cynella pursed her lips. "I usually keep to a pretty regular eating schedule. What's this about your nonsense though? Assumingly since you're still here, you haven't gotten into too much trouble.

"But I digress. Let's see what oddities they have in store for us, hm?"

[Riss]

Assuming she was allowed to, Riss would take Cynella's arm, "I coulda just met you at your place, or whatever but.. since we're here," she starts walking toward the entrance. "Maybe dessert then? That wouldn't mess with it too much right?" she shakes her head, a chuckle, "Ah, who am I kidding. I'm gonna convince you it's a good idea anyway, and even if it isn't.. what's a little fun really cost us in the long run, mmm?" she teases with a little nudge.

[Cynella Andrim]

"I was by no means suggesting that we go somewhere else," Cynella said, happy to let Riss take the lead towards the entrance. "Dessert does, in fact, 'mess with it too much' though. You'd have better luck getting me to try, say, an appetizer and just that."

She rolled her eyes. "It could cost me my abs which could cost me my marriage, though I admit, that's being dramatic."

[Riss]

"Very dramatic, more dramatic than me even.. unless I'm not very dramatic? I think I've got the flair for it at least," she continues to consider this thought until she leads the way inside. Finding them toward a person to direct them to a table and following along, another nudge with her elbow in the side broke back into the conversation, "Anyway.. come onnn, live a little. I'll find you a dessert and you just have to eat it. Not like you'll lose your abs right away, might even be married off by then and then what's the point of not living life to the fullest, mm?" she teases with a little nose scrunch. "When was the last time you had a dessert anyway?"

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella shook her head. "Oh it's been quite a long while. Again, your metabolism impresses me." She tapped her chin as she looked around the restaurant. "Just like your showmanship. You gathered quite a crowd during that little target practice earlier today."

[Riss]

"Y-yea," she says, as they slide into their seats she notably reaches immediately for the drink menu on that recollection. Half laughing to herself, though there's some strain to it, "Guess I'm.. I like being the center of attention I think. Just feels.. good, being up there and getting people laugh.." she shakes her head, blowing a raspberry.

[Cynella Andrim]

"Oh I perfectly understand. I just didn't think you'd be such a natural at it. Shame on me for underestimating you, I suppose." Cynella tilted her head. "Yes, it's been difficult thus far to make the rounds at the parties. I didn't want to overstep myself, though I suppose I have the burdens of a foreign House."

[Riss]

"As natural as they come," she says with a soft laugh, glancing down at the drink menu. "Does take a lot to learn a new place, as much of a natural as you see I am," she teases with a brief chuckle, almost too happy to latch onto something that might divert the direction of the conversation a little.

However, it still lingered in her mind as she looks up to Cynella. Festering there, she opens her mouth to speak but hesitates a moment and then committs, "So.. be honest, how bad was it before? Like.. I know it was bad but," she looks down back at the menu. "Just.. how'd it look?"

[Cynella Andrim]

"I suppose so," Cynella said, tapping her chin. "Yes, I suppose it might take some time to acclimate. Alas, we shall see."

She raised a brow. "You mean, like, when you were drunkenly all over the place last night? It was a bar so I think such behavior is to be expected, honestly."

[Riss]

"I could help you.. acclimate," she admits, bringing
a hand up to the back of her neck and brushing it a bit. "I'm not sure if you're the best hype-woman in the world ignoring the scene at the end of our little shooting outing, or.. I dunno," she says with a half awkward chuckle.

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella smiled faintly. "Oh, that? Well, most of the crowd seemed to be enjoying it. I personally wouldn't mix liquor with blasters but that's just my opinion. Anyways, the only one who seemed so upset was Prince Joran. While it's not recommended to be on a royal's bad side, I don't think he'll hold a grudge. He has a lot on his mind, is all." She sighed. "It's the burden of duty that aristocrats so often speak of. Familial expectations, that sort of thing."

[Riss]

"Not the dumbest choice I've made," she chuckles on that note, about the blasters. There's even a glint in her eye that suggest she seems to be reveling in a few of those in the moment. However, as she lets herself come back to the conversation she leans her head down into the palms of her hands and buries her forehead a little. "I'm just.. not sure if I misunderstood or he did, ya know? Whole.. marry for what's right, not your heart thing," she gives a flippant wave of her hand, "that's what I meant but.. maybe that's not what I said? Never.. whole thing is just nerf-dung anyway," she sighs, shaking her head.

"But you're right, can always fix it.. and I gotta. For more than just the sake of a wounded ego," she admits with an awkward, slightly nervous, chuckle.

[Cynella Andrim]

"It might seem like a whole lot of nerf-dung to someone unaccustomed to such practices but it's quite common on Kuat. To see it here on Alderaan comes as no surprise either." Cynella glanced around and then back to her conversation partner. "There're apparently tense political situations abound right now. There's a lot of pressure on the dear prince so it's likely he's on edge. I highly doubt he's going to hold a grudge against you forever. After this whole business is settled, I'm sure he'll welcome your, how did you put it...? Nonsense! Yes, your nonsense."

[Riss]

"Well, I need the grudge to last.. way shorter than that if I'm going to do what I need to do no," she says with a half-laugh, nervous in its origin. While her head was still buried in her hands the server arrived looking for what they might like to have or if they weren't ready yet, but given the establishment they just stood there quietly rather than disturbing. Which left Riss plenty of opportunity to continue speaking, "Cynella, I gotta ask," she says, looking up and noticing the waitress. Holding up one finger she bids her to wait, "Did you.. not understand the game I proposed before? Or.. did you not hear what I said?" she says, laughing more nervously than she had prior.

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella eyed the server and then looked back to Riss. "I'm afraid I didn't pay much attention other than the aftermath." She smiled meekly. "I heard him speak of his obligations and I happened to relate to them quite well. Made me feel more confident in approaching him as a suitor, in fact."

A soft sigh. "So I do need you to explain more, despite your, well, anxiety revolving the issue. Truly, I haven't a clue what's gotten you of all people so flustered."
