Famished [Day 5, ME]

[Riss]

Coming from the cruise together as it touched down, Riss was returned to her blaster as well as her ratter coat which she wore over her dress from the evening. Rather than retire until she would go out again later, they were already dressed up and the Silver Spires was just as near as anything else. So, Riss suggested the idea and the two grabbed a speeder to the restaurant. Relaxing for a bit for most of the ride, removing her heels and massaging her feet, Riss gave herself a little break for the ride. However, once they neared she was dressed back up and the jacket came off so it could rest in her arm. Opening the door the restaurant was just ahead.

Waiting for Kat to join her outside of the speeder she turned back to look to her, "Sooo, start dishing. How'd it all goooo?" she leads with that tease to her voice.

Kat had wanted to get changed as soon as she stepped off the cruise, but Riss had had other plans, and so there she was... still dressed up.

"Can we at least sit down first before you interrogate me?" Kat retorted with some humor, following behind Riss and walking into the restaurant. One hand came up to smooth her hair a little.

[Riss]

As they walk from the speeder to the resturaunt Riss puts herself on Kat's arm. "Okay, okay," she says, laughing with a bubbly tone to it. "I'll wait till I get you trapped and seated so you have nowhere left to run. But I'm just sooooo curious," she teases, scrunching her nose and shaking it at her.

"Why don't you tell me first about your date night, hm?" she asked with some curiosity, taking the other woman's arm in hers as they walked in. Considering the impeccable service here, they didn't have to wait long to be guided to a table.

[Riss]

"Which one?" she asks with a warm laugh as they walk inside. Not waiting long, she doesn't even start to continue before they're being lead within toward a table, "Hot tattoo dad, Bryson, or my Alderaanian Tale from the storybooks dancing with Prince Joran before his mother and assembled family? They're.. both pretty great. One more than the other, but that's only cause one got me stressed a bit.. but I learned some good things too," she said, giving Kat's arm a little squeeze as they get closer to the table.

"Both? Both is good," she said with some amusement to her tone, giving Riss' arm a gentle squeeze before letting go so they could sit down. "... I can't wait to wear something more sensible after we've finished eating. I miss pants."

[Riss]

Slipping into the seat opposite Kat Riss takes a moment to settle in and relax. Grabbing one of the menu's that were there but using it as a surface to lean on against the table, her forearms leaning against the full height of the menu as she leans it against the edge of the table. "Dance first then," she says with a bright smile. "Since we're in fancy clothes, we'll talk fancy moments," she said with a soft chuckle.

"Since someone's already pre-occupied with getting out of their clothes in front of me," she smirks, the tease evident as she doesn't leave much room for a counter when she says, "Dance was tough, honestly. Prince Joran was charming though, good dancer, and I even learned that he was the one who put me on the list for invitations. Was his little dinner.. and so there I was. Riss among all these official suitor folk," she says, a light but awkward laugh.

Kat rolled her eyes a little over the comment of undressing, but smiled as she picked up the menu.

"Riss among all these official suitor folks. I wish I had been there to see it. Some people probably had their jaws on the floor," just the idea made her chuckle. "But you were invited personally by him, so seems like he's not having any hard feelings over the little matter during shooting?"

[Riss]

"Queen told me so herself amid our chatting.. Panteer's are, interesting," she chuckles, pushing the menu up onto the table and opening it up. Scanning through for whatever it was she was going to eat, "But yea," she says, a warmth invading her tone. "Seems like it's not a completely lost cause at all.. gonna have to find a chance to talk to him again. Without all the.." she gives a flippant wave in the air, like that was supposed to be enough to understand what she meant.

"Anyway.. there was also this woman there. Intense, pretty blue eyes. She was.. intense," she says, furrowing her brow in thought at the memory. Seemingly focusing on the page for a moment, "But she said a lot of things. Kinda made me think of you when I had the chance? Well, not you but she was talking strange and talking about who I am, that I've made choices, and.. kriff all this other stuff that was wayyy intense."

Kat raised an eyebrow. "Should I be flattered or a little miffed that you thought of me when speaking to an intense strange-talking lady?"

Having decided, she closed the menu, keeping her finger on the page of the dish she had settled on. "What did she say?"

[Riss]

"No no, not like that," she starts with some boost of energy, laughing before she continues. "More- she was talking way cryptic like. It was strange and.. got me believing her. However, it made me think of you cause of your whole.. Jedi thing. Force and all that," she gives a slightly dismissive wave without thought. "Woman was talking a lot about how I played a good Fool but she saw I was really Death? Death which was supposed to mean change? Both sound like pretty bad options but the way she explained it seemed to be that Death is a bit neutral, just change. Course.. then she mentioned how my change could destroy worlds cause my aura is chaotic, which I knew that bit," she laughs but Kat's known her long enough to hear the nervous tinge way easier than anyone else in her voice.

"Lot of other stuff too like.. how I was a victim of events, that if I don't find my light, or the light? Whichever, but if I don't find it that I might be lost, and I already made the choices which set something in motion, I'm the nexus of things which sounds cooler than it probably is, don't.. remember a whole lot else? Oh, it's also apparently all 'as it should be' which I think is what reminded me most about you? Sounds kinda like force stuff, yea?"

Well that was a lot to take in. And not wanting to be interrupted, Kat opened her menu again to make it seem like she was still deciding. However she was focused on Riss, who could tell she was growing... concerned. It was something Riss had seen before, and it was rarely good.

"This woman sound like she knew quite a lot. And from what I know, all of it accurate." Her voice was lower as she spoke, as she kept her hands on the table to lean forward slightly.

"I don't know what your light, or the light could be, in this case... but..." she sighed. "Remember I warned you about your date using you? Well~," the way the word was drawn out made it seem like she didn't quite want to say the truth, feeling it might hurt Riss.

[Riss]

"Figure it's more just vague.." she almost started talking over Kat, getting like that sometimes when she's into something. However, the bit she almost spoke over stopped her dead in her tracks. Riss' smile fell to something far more neutral. Eyes narrowing slightly, "Yes?" she insists she continue, simply. That aura of tension that was a little unlike her, but she'd seen before.

Riss his it normally, but it was a particular kind of tension that came up in the year following her parting from Dryden. Something.. heavy.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"Not to hurt you, specifically, I think," Kat said, and one of her hands moved across the table to offer to Riss to hold. "But there's a lot going on, and this whole... house arrest thing, leading back to the info you passed from him. It's part of some greater plot to antagonise the Houses against eachother."

Her lips pressed together. "Do you know what it was?" She didn't know, but maybe Riss knew.

[Riss]

Riss didn't seem to notice the hand reaching across the table at first. Looking across the table at Kat, more in her own head than anything. When she did though her brow creased as she focuses in on her hand sitting there, one second, two, "What.. are you even talking about?" she half-awkwardly chuckles. Tone somewhat incredulous.

"I handed over information that revealed a Thul plot against the crown. Maybe it's the same thing you're talking about?"

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"Yes, you did. But you did nothing wrong, Riss," Kat wanted to assure her of that first.

She couldn't have known who Bryson was really working for.

"He, the white-haired man with the tattoo on his neck... Bryson Rist, he's working for people who want to hurt Alderaan. Not House Rist, but another group. He's working with very dangerous people."

"I'm sorry. I didn't know until recently."

[Riss]

Riss laughs at first, there's no mirth there but some other kind of emotion that feels off. Hands laying out flat against the table, pushing herself up to her full seated confidence, "No. You're wrong. There's no way. He's.. no, just no," she says, shaking her head as her fingers flex a little.

"How do you know?" she asks, the words come out like a snap with that latent emotional charge.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"His face was one ID'ed as part of this group. I recognized him from your description... from there I could trace the outlines of events, and saw how it lined up for Thul's house arrest."

Kat was calm, but honest, as she spoke. She had never been one for sugarcoating things, but she still had a softness to her words. She had probably known this would hurt Riss... even if she had warned her. But there was nothing to gain by telling her friend I told you so.

[Riss]

"So.. you have a picture? How.. how do you know someone's not lying to you? How do you know that this picture means he's in league with them? Maybe he's a target? He's.. said he is dealing with dangerous people. Wanted to protect me from that," she shakes her head, looking down. "Other than that you're just.." she shakes her head again. "Folk have been accusing him of things. Thul folk, who he's been working against. I don't," she shakes her head. Shifting in her seat uncomfortably. "No, I'm not believing it. I need.. I need more. Need proof."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

Kat sighed. This was almost like other times Riss had gotten too caught up in a new whirlwind romance.

"This isn't the place to tell you everything and knowledge is a dangerous thing. I hope you will trust me, Riss, but I'm telling you this much because I'm worried about you and your safety."

"Before the picture was shown to me it had already been passed through the SIS, Captain Alderaan, and another Jedi. People I'm inclined to believe."
