A bit of relaxin (Day 2, Late Evening)

[Gil Corren]

"Precisely." Gil replied as he watched Laune pour drinks around in cups.

"Do you have a thing for giving dishwashers more work?" He asked with a touch of amusement.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Dishwashing's an honest profession," she said, "though I'd assume they just have droids for that sort of thing."

She took another gulp.

[Gil Corren]

"Depends upon the shop likely." Gil replied as he looked over the stall.

"Droids are probably pretty popular in the back around these times." He glanced towards Layne and raised an eyebrow. "I wonder, what do you do when you're not jeding? Whatever jedi do when they aren't vanquishing evil or whatever?"

[Layne Hoshin]

"A Jedi is always a Jedi," she said, "We meditate, we practice, we teach. You know, like that kid your boss broke the arm of."

[Gil Corren]

"And here I thought you lived to poke at people and try to get on there nerves." He chuckled slightly and shook his head. "Guess you learn something knew everyday."

Gil eyed the Jedi fir a moment and took a sip of his drink. "What do you teach? Algebra? Meditation? Something else?"

[Layne Hoshin]

"I am not like other Jedi," she said with a shrug. "Some teach meditation. I'm sure the younglings get taught algebra or whatever that is. I, however, mainly teach lightsaber combat. And how to deal with those who deal in the Dark Side of the Force. You could call me the Jedi's Defense Against the Dark Side teacher, I suppose."

[Gil Corren]

"Lets just call it math, and that's good." Though apparently they had skipped the subject where Layne was concerned. "So you teach people to fight then? He asked a moment later. "Or are there other ways to combat the Dark side."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Do you deal with your bad impulses by beating someone up? Because I don't think that's how you fight them." She shrugged. "I teach people to fight, yes. But I also teach them to understand the Force in a different way. One that hopefully lets them understand it better so they don't get tempted by things they shouldn't be tempted by."

[Gil Corren]

"Personally no, but there are some out there that are the type." Honestly he figured Layne might have been the type, at least at one point in time. Somethinsg you left unsaid though. "But sounds like you're teaching impulse control as well as fighting skills." HE paused a moment. "Is there anything in particular you students struggle with, if you don't mind me asking?"
