[Day 5 - EA] Flower Court is in Session!

[Jocasta Teraan]

A young ithorian child says in their native language, "Can I haz one" She tried reaching for the spiked muffins.

Jocasta pulls back her reserved stock. "Oh you don't want one of those, they're a little burnt. Have one of these." She offers a regular muffin and gives the child a pat on the head.

[Dapper Dog]

"NO I WANT THAT ONES," the Ithorian shrieked from her mouths.

Jocasta kneels down, "How about this, I'll give you two of these instead. Those other ones aren't as tasty, I'm saving them for the adults."

[Dapper Dog]

The ithorian child starts crying and shrieking, "I want dat ones, I want dat ones... I WANT DAT ONES!"

[Riss]

A shrieking Ithorian child was a good cover for Riss to slip in, and dispose of the incriminating price-tag she almost missed before anyone could notice. Casually making her way toward the main faire, she holds a rather appealing looking plate of cookies. Now, it was true that Riss had a soft-spot when it came to kids but that soft-spot had certain important limits. Sure, a baked good from the heart sounds real nice but if they're burnt to a crisp who's gonna want them? So really, in the end, even if she got caught out and had to lie to a few kids at least they didn't have burnt cookies.

Which.. morally evened her out, right? Surely that's how this works.

Walking over toward Jocasta and the kid, Riss kneels down by them, "May I offer these for your consideration, little miss?" she suggests, and reveals the plate of cookies that maybe, just maybe, might have something the little one would prefer. An offer made with a smile near as sweet as the cookies themselves.

The ithorian child looked at the cookies and grabbed a handful and then shrieked louder, “I want dat ones!” She still wanted that specific muffin.

She stands up, stiff-backed. "Young lady, if you won't accept what is offered, you'll get none. Last chance to take one of the muffins I'm offering."

[Riss]

A strained smile hiding the grimace well. Riss glances to Jocasta, offering a shrug of 'I tried' and then rises and steps away to go get that plate of cookies somewhere the other kids could easily get to it, or just start handing them out as she went. Quicker they got offloaded, the better. A glance back over at the scene her brow furrows a bit, but she continues on long enough to catch a sight of Kat and wave. Feeling that inner sense of 'oh I'm gonna be in trouble' kicking in.

[Gil Corren]

"This one?" Gil asked as he moved to pick up the cake in question, turning towards the child a moment later. In the mean time he secreted one of the other cakes in his other hand and kneeling down attempted a quick switch while his hands were close to each other.

"It does look tasty."

"Yeah dis one!" she said. "Stupid head, one mouth poodoo head," she directed at Jocasta. She stuck her tongues out and left with her prizes.

Galen had taken a step forward, wanting to help, but there seemed to be enough involved to handle the child. Instead he remained beside Lana and continued serving.

With the child gone, Gil offered the real treat the child wanted back to the Republic officer. "Here you are lieutenant." He offered with a dip of his head.

Galen had taken a step forward, wanting to help, but there seemed to be enough involved to handle the child. Instead he remained beside Lana and continued serving.

"Your wingman is either foolish or brave beyond measure. I hope you impress upon him to not make such a mistake again in the future," Lana added calmly.

"You have my gratitude." she tilts her head in return. She leans in to whisper, "If you'd like to have one, those have a little Bespin Brandy in the custard, figured it would be a nice treat for the adults here."

"Your wingman is either foolish or brave beyond measure. I hope you impress upon him to not make such a mistake again in the future," Lana added calmly.

"He is a touch of both, to be certain. Those qualities tend to go hand in hand." he said. "I did speak with him as we were leaving. I doubt he'll be that bold again."

"Happy to help." That would explain why she hadn't wanted to the children to have them at least. "Then I'll take the one the yougn lady wished for, no need to pass it to someone else after I've already had my hands on it after all."

[Brannis Ulgo]

Jameela tried one and was floored and said, "These are so good... okay just one more."

Bran continues to beam, chuckling at her reaction.

"Nice and simple to make, too. Don't need help unless you're trying to make a lot of them in a hurry, like for today. I'd be happy to teach you to make them, if you wish." Bran wasn't even looking at Jameela when he extended the offer, he was so relaxed as he continued passing cookies to kids. It probably seemed a strange offer from the often grumpy-seeming Ulgo, but Jameela had apparently found one of his soft spots.

"That's a deal, I have to have more," she said warmly.

Special treats for the Flower Parade you say? Good news kids, Professor Rist was on the case. Putting his expensive education to good use, Kellen prepared the perfect treats. Years ago he had rediscovered the ancient secret recipe for House Rist's most notorious desert. Now he would re-release it on an unsuspecting world.

Approaching the Princess, the children, and the other guests he unveiled his creation. "Excuse me, but if I may? Princess Jameela, please allow me to present an old House Rist favourite thought lost to time..."
