"Yes, exactly!" Niall frowned. "Well, sort of. Perhaps I should just say that it's complicated."

He shook his head. "No, it wasn't for my duties to the Republic. Of any sort." For a few moments, he was silent, frowning thoughtfully. "I suppose you would might say that I was in a position to choose for myself, but without the external pressures that others in my position so often do. My parents were not so demanding as some."

He shook his head, then looked at the Hutt. "You must know about the Alderaanian royal family, for instance?"

"Yes, exactly!" Niall frowned. "Well, sort of. Perhaps I should just say that it's complicated."

"They change so often but are invariably good looking humans, if slightly inbred. Why the query?"

He sighed, crossing his arms. "In any case, their position in Alderaanian society is somewhat higher than my own. But have much stronger external pressures acting on them. It curtails their ability to choose. And when they do," Niall grimaced, "-there can be consequences."

Smiling wryly, Niall shook his head. "Not hardly, alas. But it's a good planet, with good people that make it so." He gestured around, gaze following his hands. "It is a lovely planet, isn't it?"

His expression grew considerably more serious. "Yes. That's a possibility. War between the Houses." Niall's jaw firmed. "I should very much not like to see it come to that. I hope that cooler heads, and love, might prevail."

Smiling wryly, Niall shook his head. "Not hardly, alas. But it's a good planet, with good people that make it so." He gestured around, gaze following his hands. "It is a lovely planet, isn't it?"

His expression grew considerably more serious. "Yes. That's a possibility. War between the Houses." Niall's jaw firmed. "I should very much not like to see it come to that. I hope that cooler heads, and love, might prevail."

Keyhote clap's Niall on the shoulder, an experience not dissimilar from being struck by a train
"You speak with my mind! Yes, let love prevail! And indeed, let us act to ensure that it does!. Come the festivals end I know that love with have conquered all."
Although as his squire pointed out "And if it doesn't, House Thul probably will!"

Respectfully "I appreciate villains who are willing to identify themselves as such, they play a part in the great romantic tales as well."

"I... might not put it so directly as that." Niall frowned, then made a face. "But on the other hand, well, I didn't name their soldiers! That really does seem rather poorly chosen." He smiled wryly. "Or perhaps well-chosen."

He shook his head. "Suffice it to say, House Organa and House Thul often find themselves on opposite sides of issues. Such as how best to deal with the Empire."

"They might argue that the Hutt moral system is radically different to most. After all, we survived the death of our gods. We crushed Xim! We rule over thousands of others who cater to our every whim. And of course, we have the perfect physical form."
