Bran had gotten excited for a moment when Riss caught the float driver, the float stalled, and she seemed to be talking with him -- but then he climbed over her and started running, drawing out a detonator.

"Kriff!" The pilot drew his blaster and took aim at the punk, forcing himself to exhale and steady the shot before pulling the trigger.

Julio was on his feet but he was definitely out numbered.

OOC: Julio is Adversary 1 with Defense 1 and the Jedi has Melee Defense 1. Julio is at Medium to Branna nd Short to Riss, meanwhile the Jedi? is at short to Riss and the Count.

Kat wasn't stopping and she followed after the Jedi(??). "Please, stop!"

She moved to stand in front of them, her lightsaber lowered and her other hand extended towards them in an offering of peace. "The Jedi are defenders of the peace, not assassins or firebrands. Please, stand down. It doesn't have to resort to violence."

[Riss]

Flower petals being thrown in her face a few clung and one even got into her mouth. Retching, she tries hard to spit it out and only barely manages to get it done when she hears the blaster shot. Seeing Julio take the hit from her peripheral she focuses in on the blaster in her hand. Knelt down atop the float she shifts her position enough to get a good aim on the target and like a space-cowboy flips the blaster at her hip out of its holster. Aiming in, tongue sticking out a bit just between her teeth but not much, she makes her mark and fires.

Seeing the hit she quickly pushes to her feet, holstering her blaster as she rushes and jumps down from the float. Rushing over toward Julio.

Julio looked down at the dropped detonator and contemplated what to do... his grand plan was falling apart.

Katarzyna felt the fear of the crowd around them. It seeped into her own calm, taking its root in her as she saw no other way than to try to solve this without violence. Fear for the safety of those around her, of Riss and Brannis. Of Gaul, and his family.

I'm keeping the Destiny flip/Conflict even if not needed, as it is fitting at the moment.
Flipping Destiny and taking 2 Strain and 2 Conflict to turn the Dark Pips into Advantages, making the final number: 1 success, 2 advantages.

The Jedi dropped their weapon and collapsed in fear of the fearsome Jedi. She responded, “Master Jedi, don’t kill me!”

The lightsaber rolled and tapped Kataryzna’s foot.

Julio seeing everything undone collapsed to his knees as ADF officers in plain clothes and uniformed tackle and take him into custody.

OOC: Crisis averted.

[Riss]

Riss' feet nearly skidded as she stopped mere seconds away from winding up in the heap of officers jumping on Julio. Hands going out at her sides as she forces the stop and stands there a moment. Watching them collapse upon him and take him down, things well in hand without her, she glances around for the others. Hand coming up to her chest she notices how heavily she's breathing from all the excitement and rigors from that running she's done. Rigors she was certainly not dressed for, and quickly tried to find herself a place she could sit as well.

Bran catches up to Riss, rather less winded as he hadn't had to do much running. "You alright?" He asks intensely, not meaning to sound gruff but still in battle mode for the moment. The question is accompanied by Bran reaching out his hand, palm down and fingers wide, a trick for gaining the attention of shell-shocked soldiers by getting into their space nonthreateningly. He'll check on Kat soon, but civilians first.

Picking up the lightsaber by her foot, Kat extinguished her own blade, holstered it, and stepped closer to the person that had surrendered.

This was no Jedi. "I won't kill you." Her voice was soft, almost comforting even, as she placed a hand on their shoulder. "It's over now."

She wasn't sure what had led this person to suddenly be waving a lightsaber around, pretending to be a Jedi. Or how they had gotten a Lightsaber. Still, keeping a hand on them, Kat made sure to look to the count. "Thank you for your quick actions, your grace. No doubt you helped save many lives tonight."

Bran's seen that reaction before, and he makes sure Riss is safely seated before he moves off. Within a couple steps, he catches a uniformed officer's attention, asking that an EMT check on Riss because "she was right next to that idiot when he pulled out a detonator." Once the officer puts the request through his communicator, Bran takes one more look back toward Riss, then goes in search of Kat. She'll know if Riss is ok.

[Count Serenno]

"It's the least I could do, Master Jedi. The credit for thwarting this man is yours. An exemplary exercise of authority." The Count bowed and stepped back to sheathe his blade, recognising Katarzyna's authority on the matter. He glanced around at the broader picture, taking note of how one float was diverted, and stranded, now engulfed in security commotion.

"It was a team effort," she said politely, though a touch curtly given the situation, but she still didn't want his quick thinking and reaction to go unappriciated.

Apprehending the not-a-Jedi, Kat took stock of their situation, and directed her attention towards the balcony where the royal family had been watching in hopes that they were all safe.

The Queen's Guard went into action but all seemed well once they had Julio and the float secured. It was a minor hiccup that resumed so as not to alarm people.

Really only those close to the action got a look but the quick response minimized any real panic.

[Count Serenno]

"Quite so." He agreed, assuming the involvement of others in the stopping of the float. Ironically, it could also be a commentary on the efforts of the faux Jedi and the float group.

It was also the first time he faced the narrative that the Queen has Imperial leanings, and couldn't help but wonder how popular it may have go among the Alderaanians. There certainly was some mastermind behind it, though the Count had little idea who that someone could be.

Kat, with a firm hand on the arrested notJedi, approached the ADF officers, to hand over her prsioner.

"This is the one who was wielding a Lightsaber and falsely claiming to be a Jedi here to attack the royal family. I have confiscated the weapon as well."

"I'm glad to be of assistance," Kat bowed as they took the prisoner. "Please feel free to contact me once you are questioning them. Myself and the Jedi Order would like to know how this woman and her comrades got their hands on a Lightsaber."
