[Day 2 - LM] Soup for the Masses (Twin Event)

Joran laughed and said, "Thanks, let's focus on the work."

"Ugh I never thought I would say that."

Latching onto the lighter tone after having their conversation take a more serious turn earlier, Jocasta remarked, "Or maybe you're onto something Ms. Riss. Perhaps we should share the good Prince with those who aren't as privileged as us to spend time with him?"

She turned towards Prince Joran, "What would you think of offering up a Date Night with Prince Joran? It would be quite the spectacle." Jocasta teased, drawing her hands across the sky to emphasize the title. "We might even be able to rope in some other bachelors and bachelorettes to donate their time." What started as a joke was now starting to seem plausible to Jocasta... If the right people agreed to participate.

"I'm thinking more like a lottery, to be more fair. I think we all know at least one woman with credits to burn that would pay for your time." Jocasta looked around the room, "One who is conspicuously not present this morning."

"What Yulastranza? I don't think so, she's... no, not at all," he said with a chuckle.

"A changed man before my very eyes," she says with a teasing tone. Chuckling briefly, shaking her head almost near as brief, she glances briefly around for wherever Garth was, not that she knew him.

Almost as if the force conspired to make such things happen, Garth appeared, almost dancing through the crowds as he cleared plates and dishes and wiped down tables to prepare them for new customers. He was completely oblivious to the goings on but hummed some little ditty as he worked.

Riss chuckles, "See, at least someone seems to agree I have good ideas," she says, a bright smile as Kat would surely shiver, wherever she was in here.

"But.. no, I met her all of five seconds last night and I can tell she ain't the type to even consider this kind of thing for a second. Not sure what that says.. if anything," she shrugs.

"Thank you, I am just doing my part," she said to him.

"I doubt it would be as successful without your support and participation, princess." Galen said. "He's right, it's inspiring to see your family doing this."

He looked out at the crowd. "And, they are grateful for that."

Once he was comfortable that everything behind the scenes was caught up with, Archie went ahead and his portion of the Hutt soup and took a little longer going through the line to see if the princess would be willing to have a chat with this humble looking noble.

Durasay had arrived to lend a hand. His practiced smile on display as he helped ladle soup, or carry stock pots full of soup from large burners elsewhere, he wanted to show that Pantora and Alderaan could help each other.

Omandri smiled at the woman as she approached "Oh a bit but mostly got more things on my plate to look into. How did the rest of your night turn out? Just back to the quarters to crash?"

She pitched in doling out soup, "Yeah that was the end of my night. Of course it took something like 45 minutes just to get back to my little gym at the port." She said conversationally. "And I can appreciate that. I've been feeling pulled in three directions here lately as well." She smiled prettily and went out of her way to brighten as many people's days as she could.

She relishes every smiling face and seems fulfilled by the work.

"I never considered it that way, but that is an interesting view on the topic, but we value our people. They are the soul of Alderaan," she said warmly.

"Likewise on Kaut. In fact, I would be appalled if nobility anywhere looked down upon the common people," Cynella said, shaking her head at imagined villainy. "Everyone knows that the common people must be dedicated to contribution. However, it is paramount that the nobility act in the people's best interest."

She tilted her head with a smile. "The brain leads the rest of the body, so to speak."

"Likewise on Kaut. In fact, I would be appalled if nobility anywhere looked down upon the common people," Cynella said, shaking her head at imagined villainy. "You have it exactly, Lady Andrim. We must lead by example and deed," she said.

"Have you enjoyed the comforts and hospitality of Queen Panteer and the Houses of Alderaan? House Thull is particularly thankful for the contributions of your family in the field of ship manufacturing."

Manoeuvring up beside Miyi, with a carefully balanced tray,on one arm - like all the fancy waiters do, he gestured to a table with a few of the 'common folk' they were supposed to be helping.

"Time fer a break, afore ye wear yerself out." He suggests ,glancing down to the tray with two bowls of one of the more nutritious non-slug based soups and two tall glasses of water.

"If these fine citizens don' mind some comp'ny?" Garth asked the table's occupants.

The people seem fine with it and Miyi is confused and said, "Are you offering? Wait, right now?""

Garth nods in the affirmative, places the tray on the table, and in a quiet voice meant only for Miyi softly speaks.

"Would be mighty well received for a Baroness t' be seen not just servin' but minglin' with the citizenry. Unless ya got another pressin' engagement?"

[Blai Frayus]

"Really everyone that has contributed today are the real heroes, I am just using my name and privilege to get people here," she offered.

Blai nods in agreement, a kind smile still on his face, although his attention seems mostly back to serving the meals now.

Garth laughs heartily. "That may be th' least offensive thing someone's called me in a while Miss Thul. Ah'll just choose t' take it as a compliment."

He leans over to a teenage boy sitting at the table with them. "Less damagin' on th' ego that way." He confides in him conspiratorially behind an obscuring hand.
