[Day 2 EM] On the Hunt for Hunters (Closed)

Sando finished setting the table and stood back for a moment to appreciate his fine work. 3 places had been set and although it was just a small picnic table the silverware upon it gleamed with the rising sun.

Thinking for a moment the squire retreated into his housing before returning a few moments later with a small jug containing a bouquet of roses which he set to arranging in the table's centre. Master did love his flowers both as romantic gestures and desserts.

No sooner had he finished than Keyhote arrived, back straight and eyes full of energy

"Have our guests arrived yet?"
"No yer lordship, but I hand delivered both the invitations, they cannot be far away."
"And our cuisine?"
"Some of the local bacon accompanied by homemade flat bread, white sauce, and a side of eggs I managed to swipe from the market."
"What type of eggs?"
Sando just shrugs
"Ah, then it will be an adventure! You have outdone yourself Pantha, as usual."

Aurilie strolled into the meeting and was pleasantly surprised by the squire's handy work. It shouldn't be surprising that Keyhote would strike for an elaborate setting when tea and biscuits would have done the job fine enough. Never count on the Hutt to do anything halfway.

"Good morning, Ser Keyhote and Sando," she said after her inspection of the arrangements with an amused look on her face. "It looks like quite the setup. You'd almost think that we were meeting up for an entirely different occasion. I hope everyone is well today.

"Good morning Pince Aurilie!" Keyhote bows
Sando bows too, smoothly stepping forward to slide back a chair if Aurilie wished to sit.
"Ah, this is all to Pantha's credit, he truly understands the important of a fine meal. Why not start one's day with a little self-love and love of food?"

Aurilie would return the bow in her own way before strolling over to the chair prepped by Sando to take a seat. "Well, I'm sure Pantha must get it from somewhere too. Sometimes the mood and spirit of all things are passed from knight to squire. Of course, sometimes great and noble minds do think alike."

She reached over and plucked a rose from the vase, careful of any thorns it might have on its stem. Thankfully, she often wore gloves and it was no different on this occasion. She carefully sampled the scene of the flower up close. "But of course, you must start your morning on the right foot. Self-love and love of food first, then love for others and love life? Hah, stop me if I've stolen your script, Ser Keyhote."

Keyhote chuckles, the silverware vibrating slightly on the table
"Not at all, that it the story that I write every day! Think how peaceable the galaxy would be if we all followed such a code? I do trust the rose is to your liking, I selected them fresh from the festival materials."

Sando steps forward holding two ornate looking containers
"Coffee or tea while we wait your princessness?"

"They are quite uplifting and wonderful," she said as she carefully returned it to the vase if only to take away from the bunch and keep it in water at the same time. "Almost feels like they are from the gardens directly. I was almost going to ask if you plucked them directly from there. If that was the case, I suppose I'll just have to become an accomplice to your crime. However, I think that would also be unlike you."

She chuckled and turned her attention to Sando. "Tea would be great, please and thank you. Some honey, too. I hope it's not too forward of me while we wait for our guest?"

Blai had heard of the... unique Hutt visiting for the festival, and it had made him smile. But he was definitely surprised to get an invitation for the picnic. Even more surprised to see the lovely table that had been set for them - although from what he'd heard of this Ser Keyhote, it probably shouldn't come as that much of a surprise.

He bows in greeting. "Good morning, ser Keyhote, mr. Sando, and..." Seeing the other noble, who he'd seen but not met formally, he moved into a slightly more formal greeting. "Ah... Please to meet you, miss. I'm Blai Frayus."

Gesturing at the table, then, and seeing that they were already in the middle of a discussion, he nods. "I hope my interruption is not too much of a bother!", he says, then moves to get into the third chair. "So... you were organising an expedition, then, Ser Keyhote?"

When the last guest would arrive, Aurilie would stand from her seat and straighten her blazer in proper form. She would offer a bow in return and return with her own introduction. "Good morning and pleased to make your acquaintance, Blai. I'm Aurilie Alde, Prince of Mount Joral," she would say before offering her hand to shake.

"I don't believe there was a major interruption. Actually, you're just in time to add to it. I was just complimenting Ser Keyhote and his squire on his arrangement. I imagine it must have been on some short notice and I've found it very uplifting." She nodded in appreciation toward the knight and squire.

"Ser Frayus, welcome! Pantha, a chair for our guest."
Keyhote bows as the squire scurries around to withdraw seating for the newcomer
"Thank you for joining us. The sun is shining, birds are crying, love is in the air...and a hunt is on the horizon!"

Sando had of course provided tea to Aurilie in the meantime as an attentive servant should
"The Prince is far too kind to compliment my meagre hospitality so."

The man gave the Hutt a wide smile as he sat down... and seemed to expect Pantha would sit down as well, but then noticed... there was no chair for him?

He looked around once, twice, and found none. "Ah... so, mr Pantha will not be joining us, then?"

"As a devoted squire Mr Pantha will wait on us."

The Drall rolls his eyes but nods
"Indeed yer lordships. Tis an honour to be serving the likes of yourselves."

"Pantha does endure a lot in the service of Ser Keyhote. I could only imagine what a fine knight he will be once he sets off on his own, one day." She said a touch curiously, wondering if that was going to happen or Pantha was going to wait until Keyhote outgrew him and that was honestly going to take a while.

She would settle back down in her seat and take a small sip of tea that was served, deciding to have it while it was still hot. After setting the cup neatly on its saucer, she smiled in Blai's direction. "May I ask how did you meet Ser Keyhote? And, I would be interested to hear a bit about you too."

Blai keeps looking at the others for a moment, then something clicks in. This is probably something like a Jedi apprenticeship! It... more or less made sense now.

Maybe...

He then nods at Aurilie. "Oh, Ser Keyhote sent a note asking for my presence today. This is the first time I have the pleasure of meeting him in person", he says gesturing and nodding with his head at the Hutt again. "But me..." he seems a at a loss for words for a while. He's not particularly good at speaking about people - especially himself! But he bows his head slightly and tries to sound proper.

"Ah... I'm Blai, as I said, and I'm representing house Frayus at the Queen's Festival of the Flowers. I've been hired as a researcher and lecturer for the University at Alde some two years ago... but I'm rarely in the planet, as my research mainly deals with exploring and describing the fauna, flora and ecology of lesser-known worlds. So mainly in the Outer Rim and Wild Space." He looks around with a smile. "But it's good to come back home and remember the lands that first drew me to this life from time to time! What about you, miss Alde?"

OOC:
Oof, sorry, had forgotten about this thread with all the hunting preparation going on! Hopefully we can still get some RP out of it :)

"Oh, I was under the impression that you two have met in person previously. It shouldn't surprise me that Ser Keyhote's social network has a considerable reach even on Aldereen." She said with a faint smirk as she glanced over to his direction momentarily.

She took a sip of tea and nodded in Blai's direction. "If your education and experience have brought you to other worlds, your expertise must be very valued. That seems only befitting for someone who's serving at the Unversity. As for myself, at the moment, I serve as one of the wardens of Mount Joral and work on maintaining our borders with the wild. Naturally, in my little kingdom, the borders are often blurred depending on the time of the year. Lumber and mining operations are limited, they see difficulties brought on by the weather, terrain, and many of their denizens. In my pursuit of sharpening my skills and bringing glory to House Alde, I have ventured out through the galaxy to hunt and collect trophies among some of the most fearsome predators in the wild. Actually, that is where I had first acquainted with Ser Keyhote here, who has become a very good friend."

"Ser Keyhote's network seems to be widely cast indeed", he says with a smile and a nod to the Hutt.

He then waves a hand dismissively at Aurilie. "Oh... well, I've dedicated most of my life to exploring, and yet there's so much I don't know or understand! I hardly feel I deserve the praise, miss Alde." Another smile as he takes the first sip of tea himself. "In fact, from what you say you're perhaps even more of an explorer than myself! But Mount Joral... I wonder, I think I might have visited when..." he stops to think for a while, grins. "Well, way back. Before I first set foot in UniAlde... maybe during my first semesters there, too. I'm trying to remember the area... the mountains were surrounded by quite lush wild areas, if I remember it right?"

He then looks at Keyhote. "Oh... we may be sidetracking the focus of the meeting, though, Ser Keyhote! You had mentioned this creature..."

"Let's concede that we're both explorers in different respects. It's not much of a contest and if it was, I'm sure the creatures and people of the wild will have us beat either way." Aurilie allowed herself to chuckle a little and she nodded. "I would say that's about true for Mount Joral for oh, half of the year. The other half is likely shrouded in some amount of snow. We were just leaving the cold months with Ser Keyhote graciously came to visit some days ago."

At the question directly to Keyhote, she would allow him to lead the planned meeting as he wished.
