[Day 2, ME] Hunting Party

[Galen Sol]

The room Galen had been given wasn't very large, but it would serve. He'd mentioned Black Tooth to a few people throughout the day and asked them to relay the information to anyone who might be able to help, along with an invitation to meet tonight. This was just to see who was interested and what resources would be available. Hopefully, they could get a look at the site tomorrow and figure out what needed to be done.

For now, he waited.

[Baesal Zyn]

He did not have to wait long in this case, Baesal basically lived next door. She walked in with her robes with a pot of hot caff

''Good evening''

[Galen Sol]

"Good evening." he smiled. "I got word out as best I could. We'll see who shows up."

[Baesal Zyn]

''Since this might be killik related I suspect some of the peacekeeping group might show up.'' she replied ''I look forward into solving the situation.''

[Galen Sol]

"We're not sure what exactly we're dealing with yet, so I'll welcome whatever help we can get." he said. "If we're going to capture the hounds, we'll probably need some more hunters."

"Oh, I have some electro-snares I may need you to look at, too." he added.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

Another Jedi was next to arrive. Kat had a calm expression and poise as she arrived.

"Excuse me, I was relayed some information to come here regarding dealing with a matter that has plagued local patrols? Oh, good evening, Knight Baesal."

It had been given the impression that some Republic personnel may require defending on a dangerous endeavour, therefore it attended. Although it had seen the Ulgo Jedi and Sol before the only one in the room it actually knew was Zyn from the Bankor Campaign.

It saluted.

"Knight Zyn, this unit stands ready to provide protection to Republic personnel."

[Galen Sol]

Galen recognized the droid, but they hadn't crossed paths directly on Bankor. He introduced himself to both of his new guests.

"Good evening, I'm Galen Sol. Thank you for coming."

[V1-V0]

"Gunnery Sergeant Veeone-Veeoh, Assault Specialist."

The standard V series prototype introduction. It then managed to fall into an 'at arms' position with a blaster rifle . . . . without actually having the rifle.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"Jedi Knight Katarzyna Ulgo. I wish to see the threat to the people of Alderaan taken care. I was told some beasts had attacked and killed patrols?"

Perhaps someone had brought an invasive species to the planet and things had gotten out of hand. Unless it was something like a vorn tiger or manka cat...

[Galen Sol]

"It's a pack of kath hounds, led by a particularly aggressive one, called Black Tooth." he nodded. "I believe I've located it's lair and there's a possibility it's been affected and possibly mutated by chemicals."

[Dapper Dog]

Unther arrived but hung back, more to observe and stay abreast of any threats to the people. He did admire the initiative, but also wanted to make sure this wasn't a bunch of idiots getting in over their head.

Seeing Jedi present put him at ease.

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

"It's a pack of kath hounds, led by a particularly aggressive one, called Black Tooth." he nodded. "I believe I've located it's lair and there's a possibility it's been affected and possibly mutated by chemicals."

"Mutated? That is concerning... hopefully samples might give some answers, yes?"

The arrival of one prince made her stop to acknowledge his presence with a bow, but seeing him fall back to observe, she continued.

"I'm not much of a hunter myself, but I'm decent at leading a group in dangerous territory. I'm also a field medic in a pinch, and have experience as a bodyguard. In a fight, I am skilled enough with a lightsaber."

[Galen Sol]

"It's an old processing plant for hyperfuel. It was hopefully cleaned out when the plant was moved, but I came across some reports suggesting the Empire may have used it during the war." he explained. "It's possible some toxins remain on site that have affected the animals in the area. We won't really know until we get a look at the site."

"I want to make sure we're prepared to do this properly." he added, offering a nod to Unther.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Good evening Knight Ulgo'' replied Baesal as Kat came in

Her tone seemed oddly more happy to see the droid who walked in next

''Veeone! Good to see you!'' she moved in to actually hug the 'medic' ''It's been a while''

She returned to a more neutral disposition afterwards, especially when mutations came in

''The mutations could be chemically or alchemically induced. Strong influence of the dark side could also leave long lasting corruption that could affect the wildlife.''

[Blai Frayus]

Perhaps surprisingly, Blai had not heard anything about the Black Tooth before he got word of the invitation to meet, but hearing of a pack of Kath Hounds definitely got his attention. He suspected many would want to take a violent approach to the issue - especially as it sounded like the pack had become a problem to quite a few people. Even 'black tooth' as a name was ominous...

Coming into the room, he was rather surprised to see Unther there again. Greeting everyone, and attempting to be properly formal to the prince, he kept paying attention to Galen's words on the animal for now. On hearing about possible mutations caused by chemicals, he definitely had questions... but for now, he waited before fielding them.

"Unprocessed coaxium hyperfuel is extremely unstable and explosive. It does not last long in an environment such as this planet holds. Logic dictates it was either all processed, has already exploded or is in long term containment. It is unlikely to be the cause here. Processed hyperfuel is extremely valuable. Logic says it is unlikely to remain on site. This leads to the processing chemicals being a logical source of mutation and danger."

Servos whirred for a moment.

"This unit has insufficient data on hyperfuel processing to identify likely contaminants that may be present. Recommend any breach on the target area be carried out by this unit, as it is immune to noxious vapours."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

Kat frowned, linking her hands together in front of her "Let us hope it is only chemical alteration of the creatures. If it is Sith Alchemy, then there is little hope for them - they will viciously attack and constantly seek new targets for their aggression."

V1's words earn a nod. "Being immune to toxins will surely be useful, sir. Using breathmasks or similar equipment should be done for us who are not so blessed."

[Dapper Dog]

Unther said, “I apologize for speaking out of turn, but your basic intel is correct it was used to process hyperfuel for the Empire, it was bombed by our allied forces and we used satellite imagery to follow up but I am not sure if we ever did a proper analysis of the site. Preparing for chemicals is a good idea.”

“I have no intel on Sith alchemy? But I trust the Jedi to know how to handle that if present.”

[Galen Sol]

"Thank you, Prince Unther." Galen nodded. "Can you tell us anything about the area surrounding the site?"
