Alderaan - Love and Intrigue

Jameela was back at the housing cafeteria with a much smaller group, just Miyi Thul and Lana Beniko joined her to help with serving food. Jameela was glad to be here with hopefully a smaller crew. She was not looking forward to watching the Huttball games, just more glorification of violence and Hutt slave labor practices… awful.

Lana was there helping her friend with the meals.

Miyi was actually getting pretty good at playing waitress.

And bussing the tables again, glancing out the windows occasionally at the coming storm was Garth. He hadn't expected more VIP's today, yesterday was mostly for them to be seen to be helpful - and today there were no cameras or pomp or ceremony.

He nodded politely to the ladies who were in attendance, but today wasn't about making friends or joking around. Less hands meant more work, and so he did, diligently and professionally.

Another familiar figure from the previous day's soup-serving arrived, still dressed in the same Jedi-garb as usual, looking neat and clean.

She offered a bow to the royal, and looked around to see where she would be needed today.

Omandri was never one to miss these kinds of things. Helping people in need while doing his duty to his family was an ideal situation.

He smiled to familiar faces as he headed back to start cleaning dishes.

"Good morning Princess. I hope the morning finds you well." He said with an open friendly smile as he moved past the serving area and toward the dish washing station

Apparently Count Serenno took to this display of noble obligation as he reappeared for the service.

"Good morning Omandri Rist, welcome back. I am quite well, I hope you are too, ready to wash dishes?" she said holding up a dirty plate.

He rolled up his sleeves and smiled as he took the plate "It's always a good day ahead when you get to start it with a good deed." He replies as he sets to his task.

He looks over at Jameela "Did you enjoy the poetry readings yesterday? It seems you were muse for more than a few of the readings."

“It was… interesting, I have never heard so many interesting stories and there was even a droid poet! File not Found… what does it mean?” she said with a smile.

Omandri laughed warmly at that "yes! It is unique things like that, that I feel only happen during the festival. You know I heard that Droid was one of those big heros from Bankor. Quite a few of them here now that I think about it. Interesting how that happens, small galaxy moments and such." He said in a sort of amused thoughtfulness as he scrubbed the plates and utensils putting them on the drying rack

"Oh? Wow... that's impressive. It really is a small galaxy. I... I heard that your sister has an issue with the Jedi, I hope that does not cause issues for you," she said with concern.

Omandri's smile faltered slightly "yes, that. Well that is her decision to make, sometimes she can be too....spirited." He worded carefully "The matter is of some importance to her, I feel part of her never really got over the death of our sister." He said more quietly.

He shook his head "but there are people looking into the issue. Trying to see if there might be a more peaceful resolution that the current one laid out."

“I never considered House Rist to choose the peaceful option,” she said honestly.

Omandri smirked at that "Well as I said some of us are looking into it. My sister is often very, decisive with her courses of action. But she is also smart and if actual evidence comes up she'll do the right thing."

A tray of newly emptied bowls is placed down with a gentle clatter beside the dishwashers as Garth drops off the latest retrievals from the dining room and heads back out to fetch some more.

"I hope cooler heads prevail then," she said with a hopeful tone. "What happened to your sister?"

Omandri looked down at the dishes for a but a slightly sad smile on his lips "Well thats the million cred question at this point." He nodded to Garth as the man dropped off more dishes "all I had known is she was murdered by a Sith. According to some information my sister Giandra received Layne Hoshin was that Sith."

"Oh... that Jedi," she said as if she had known the name.

Omandri raised an eyebrow "Oh you've head of her? I admit until all this started I had not heard the name." He said as he scrubbed out a bowl
