Day 6 MA: Spy cat

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal's new cybernetics arm prototype was sitting proudly on the side of her workbench but that was not the focus of her work right now. She was aiming for something like she once had done for Z's operations: spy gear.

They might have the clues but they needed solid proof and access

[Breela Po]

Breela arrived shortly after the hour. "Hey! Just finished up my class, and I'm feeling good! All ready for what comes next! I'm assuming we're good?" Good to talk being the implication.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Ayup'' she confirmed ''Like I said I know a thing or two about computers and we are in a safe zone here.''

[Breela Po]

She sighed with relief, "Thank goodness. I was just talking to Garth Ulgo an hour and a half ago. I wanted to tell him about Miyi so badly, but I couldn't. Not until we know more." She looked around at all the gadgets and tech in wonder. "Is it possible to build a signal scrambler or something? I'm old fashioned and just turn up the radio when I want to speak with a modicum of assurance that I won't be heard."

[Dapper Dog]

Daz was present but for now he just listened until he was needed.

[Baesal Zyn]

She sighed with relief, "Thank goodness. I was just talking to Garth Ulgo an hour and a half ago. I wanted to tell him about Miyi so badly, but I couldn't. Not until we know more." She looked around at all the gadgets and tech in wonder. "Is it possible to build a signal scrambler or something? I'm old fashioned and just turn up the radio when I want to speak with a modicum of assurance that I won't be heard."

''If you feel like it's needed we can surely try do build a device with those intended effects'' she said with a nod before turning to Daz

''Your stuff is secure?''

[Dapper Dog]

Daz said, "It's all whizz, master. What is this about Miyi Thul?"

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal turns to Breela

''Want to tell him the story?''

[Breela Po]

Not particularly, she thought. "Ummmm," she sighs, "Alright, but Daz... this is top secret."

She recounts the investigation into Tuvi Kirns, and she shows Daz the footage.

"Also, once we've investigated I need you to keep a promise I made with those kids. I think a personal visit would be cooler for them than just a shout out on your... whatever it's called."

[Dapper Dog]

Daz listened and said, "Maybe... a shout out would probably reach more people though... it's more whizz for sure."

[Breela Po]

"Well... that is what I promised them." She shows him their dance video. "But... do me a favor and wait until we've investigated Miyi some more. That way we don't run the risk of someone putting two and two together."

She turns to Baesal, "Speaking of, do you know anything about Xero Thul?" She grins, "Aside from his uncanny sense of humour?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Who?" he asked.

[Baesal Zyn]

''I have literally no idea who that is''

[Breela Po]

Breela looks at them both curiously for a moment, "I wonder, do you think he's the Thul we missed? All I know is that he's related to Miyi somehow." She thinks some more about it. "What if..." She wonders some more. "No, I'm not going to guess until I know more."

In Breela's mind she has a target. "I think the next place we should look is at house Thul. The problem is that the Blackguard know my face probably. So I won't be able to approach them as a friend. I trust the others are looking in on the organization." She thinks of Zeno. "I wonder if they'll recruit the enemy of their enemy?"

If the Blackguard recruited me, or the cabal. Either one would be a win wouldn't it?

[Baesal Zyn]

She raised a hand

"Wait...is this about housse Thul? I thought this was about Black Kat"

[Breela Po]

"Well, I guess it's about both." She said caught up in thought, "but it kind of requires that you go out on a limb. Miyi Thul has precisely what reason to dump Tuvi's body? Or, I'll put it another way, let's assume that maybe Blackkat actually doctored the footage to appear as Miyi. Why?" She let the thought linger. "Unless... Blackkat, and house Thul, are natural enemies. Which..." she shrugs, "if they're all force users, including Miyi and Xero, then yeah I guess they are. But if not, then from everything I've heard about the Thuls, a political assassination is... well, the very least I expect of them."

"So..." she stretches, "I'm trying to figure out how I can rope myself into this intrigue by appearing to be the enemy of our enemy."

[Baesal Zyn]

''Let's focus on one thing at a time'' the knight began ''I do not trust the Thuls but I do not think they are our primary adversaries. I think infiltrating the Cabal sell via Tuvi's group is the better prospect.''

She opened up and synched her devices

''You have the video with you?''

[Breela Po]

Hands it over. "Well do you know how we can do that? Because I'm at a loss."

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal puts the video on her screen and inspects it carefully

''Well...'' she began ''...they already know you and that you were getting to know Tuvi, right?''

Can't really say it's Miyi Thul in the vid...it's too grainy...oh

''Maybe that if you go to them saying that you have proof that Tuvi was murdered they might let you in'' she grins ''But of course the proof might be more then they can handle''

"And... we actually know where to find them?"

Breela watches the enlarged video with interest. "I was under the assumption that the group was in the wind."
